Snail. We are not allowed to touch snail in my culture. Not to talk of eating it. People come from other places to pick snail from our place. We are also not allowed to sell them. The snails just fill the whole bush.

Which truth? goods to be imported nd exported pass through Lagos Port and that is where the money is being generated. if u even think is tru oil money , u deceive yourself.
So the money that was used to construct the Lagos port, where did it come from? Did they not teach you in school that much of the natural harbours within Lagos were not conducive for ships due to the presence of a natural sandbar and heavy tides? Most of the goods destined for Lagos were diverted to the calmer entrance of Forcados. The colonial government had to take money from areas where there were natural resources to build the port. Please confirm before you post, brother.

That's the point u keep making that is annoying someone, which state resources do they use to develop Lagos? show me the Lagos of pre-1999 and Today's Lagos and tell me they used money from other states to developed Lagos. The pre independence Nigeria was largely based on Agriculture and Southwest was leading with Cocoa, the only benefit of Lagos was tax. The first time Nigeria enjoyed oil wind cash was in 1970s what was developed in Lagos that period ? FCT moved to Abuja in 1991 and yet u are saying Lagos is being developed by other states money..........
Can you name the resources in Lagos that was used to build the ports, the rail lines, the bridges, the flyovers, the airports, the military bases and then some. The resources of other states was used to build Lagos. You can either accept it or get angry unnecessarily, but it doesn't change the truth.

Not true! Mechanics collect between 2k to 3k for servicing. You'll buy oil 5k and oil filter 2k.
Car TalkRe: Please What Does This Alert Light On My Dash Board Mean? by aikyg(m): 2:59pm On Oct 06, 2021
Your car needs oil change. Just buy your car's recommended engine oil and oil filter. Look for a good filling station or mechanic and tell them that you would like to do oil change or servicing. They will do the needful and also clear the light. Good luck!

If only u understand Yoruba, I would have said, oro te so yen ko mu ogbon dani...we are talking about a state that any Nigeria can walk in and find something to do for their daily living as such, the inflow of people into Lagos is unimaginable, for a better life for us all, shouldn't we all join hands to request for that special status for Lagos ? but u are here talking about the intelligent of the other states were used to build Lagos. if lagos is to keep what is being generated in the state many states civil servants would go to bed hungry.
It is myopic to conclude that my comment does not make sense. Let me educate you a little with some of my previous comments as shown below:

Lagos has the rights to call for a special status. However, that is bad economics for the country. The federal government should channel the revenue from Lagos towards replicating what successive government did with Lagos, with states like Cross River, Kano and Anambra. A lot of countries did the same and it really helped their economy and political stability. A country like South Africa did that successfully: you have Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg all thriving. United states did that as well: New York, Chicago, Dallas etc.

Lagos is the lowest on the ranking table of oil producing states in Nigeria. Behind Imo and Abia states. So you can see that the state was not developed with resources from the state. Just the same way resources from other states was used to develop Lagos, it won't be a bad idea to use resources from Lagos to develop other states.

I would like to point out the notion that Lagos state has no major mineral resource as completely false. Lagos state is classified as an oil producing state. Also, the state has gas, bitumen and glass-sand that are currently being exploited for revenue.

.

Your thinking lacks good insight.
The request of a special status for Lagos state does not negate that there are people from other states contributing their quota to the development of the state. It is simply a call for more to be done from the center to help the state and the people prosper the more.

Whether you are from Ikot, Awomama, Kwale, or Dajin Kowa, every tribe in Nigeria have a stake in Lagos state.
I understand that Lagos has the rights to call for a special status. From the POV of the Lagos team, that is. However, that is bad economics for the country. What insight can we get from your own thinking? Maybe you know a lot things that I do not know.

Your analysis no make at all.
So because, there are people from all over the world making US great means they should share their proceed to all those countries bah?

You can also make your state as great as Lagos . Some people worked for it
I only asked a question. What I expect from you is a superior argument that will convince the people from those states who feel they should share from Lagos current prosperity, that proceeds should go to Lagos alone.
PoliticsRe: Fiscal Federalism: Lagos Requests For 1% In Revenue Allocation Formula by aikyg(m): 8:55am On Oct 05, 2021
Lagos is one state in Nigeria that can afford to be a country of its own, without taking any loan from anybody. This statement is entirely true as long as they have access to the oil in the Niger Delta. The economy of Lagos was built by money from other parts of the country. Lagos has no major mineral resources and the indigenes are not one of the best educated in Nigeria. Highly intelligent people from different parts of the country moved Lagos to where it is today and most of them were raised and educated in other states.

Now, the question is should Lagos state alone take all the proceeds of the labour and investment that smart people from other states put in to bring the state to where it is today or should there be a form of reparation in the spirit of brotherhood and 'justice'?

Nice job. Unfortunately, there's no space for the state capital development agency to plant trees on the road side. The government should encourage the landlords on that road to plant trees in their compounds, close to the road, to maintain the green initiative of the state's founding fathers.

I think I should be telling you the same thing bro. The article said that:

He (Obinna Echianu) conspired with a student, Everly Nnorom, to snatch a car from Inalegwu Edwin.

After snatching the car from Edwin, Obinna brought out a gun and shot Edwin on the head. Killing him instantly.

The court freed Nnorom, but sentenced Obinna to death, probably because he was the one who shot Edwin.

He became depressed in the prison and decided to kill himself.

Can you see that you're the one who did not read the article? Don't be too quick to condemn!
