How do I explain this to you? Google map gives you time based on the speed that it is receiving from your GPS. That's why you need to do the maths to get the real time. The engineers at Google are assuming that you at least know primary six arithmetic; that why they added the distance so you can do your own small calculations. That way you can use your actual speed to get the real time, instead of taking decision based only on the GPS time provided by google.

The Google map clearly shows that Onitsha is closer to Anambra international than Asaba airport.

Why you non Anambrans are more interested in Anambra is beyond my understanding.

Just do the maths and tell us what it says. The Airport is a good initiative, but travellers will still be using Asaba airport for a little longer. Not just just because of inertia, but due to proximity.

I think you are the one deceiving travellers. You picked the time but ignored the distance. The distance is 25 kilometres.
Simple arithmetic shows that if you are doing 100km/hour it should take you approximately (60/4) minutes = 15 minutes or less to get to Asaba airport from Onitsha.

The distance from Onitsha town to to Asaba town is just 4 minutes. The distance from Asaba town to Asaba airport is about just five minutes. However, the distance from Onitsha town to the Anambra airport is close to 30 minutes.

Asaba Airport is closer to Onitsha than this airport. Asaba airport is just 7 to 10 minutes from Onitsha, while this one is more than 30 minutes from Onitsha.

What you've failed to add is that most of these tenants owe their landlords. When the rent is high, the tenants pay for the first year and find it hard to renew. Most sensible landlords look for decent tenants and charge them a moderate rent. That way they pay on time and maintain their property.
