BBN is organised by a private establishment which has absolutely no links with govt. The organisers are profit oriented businessmen whose area of focus is 'ENTERTAINMENT' and showbiz. It's not up to you to tell these private businessmen what to do with their money.

Entertainment, sports and showbiz are all multibillion dollar industries which are separate from the education industry. I struggle to see the wisdom in you audaciously expecting showbiz entrepreneurs to invest their money in education.

People really suffer in Lagos. What brings most people here is that other state governors don't make effort to create opportunities in their various states, thereby making most graduates to relocate to Lagos in search of greener pastures.

The funny thing is that most of the residents living in shacks and deplorable conditions always hope that their conditions will change someday.

While they await that day, a good number of them take to thuggery (especially the Yourba-speaking folks) and the rest become criminals. I must have to admit that some of them are into genuine businesses and skills.

Not true Sir. Lagos is actually the easiest state to run, because the federal government has done the major infrastructural work for Lagos. When a Lagos governor say that he is building a new road, he is just rehabilitating. However, in other states, when the state governor says that he is building a road, he is starting from the scratch.

If you want to see for yourself that the state government has not done anyhting major in Lagos over the years, just go to places without federal government infrastructure for the state to ride on, like mushin, inside fadeyi, somolu, alimosho, ipaja etc.

Meanwhile, the best graduating student at UNN got what again? Five thousand abi na five hundred naira. Stuubid kwantry!

Also, China, Israel, India or South Korea is not Nigeria. Check the level of infrastructure and higher education in the countries, Nigeria is way behind.

People who can think dont just fall from the sky..There has to be a sound structure and good leadership.

Maybe, but not always. None of these people that he mentioned in his post had serious careers abroad before they moved back to Nigeria to join and build the tech ecosystem down here. It's always funny to think that you have to leave Nigeria to be the best. People leave the country for a while and come back to Nigeria after a year acting like know everything. Meanwhile they are just using their overseas internship level exposure to bobo people who know far more than they do.

I've worked with a lot of these so called foreign developers. Trust me, most of them are not as good as people here would want you to believe. One even told me to my face that what I was building for a telecom company was not possible. I was more shocked than angry. Shocked that someone who was in such environment does not know that so many things are possible when you have deep understanding of a technology.

The only reason you'll want to go abroad is for the money and better living environment. You can get knowledge from anywhere. Indians, Chinese, Israelis and Koreans understand this and they are building and training their people at home and getting the abroad to ship jobs to their door steps.

It's all about the money!

This is not true! If you have no experience, put your certifications first, followed by your educational qualifications, schools attended and dates. You can then finish with volunteer experieces, leadership roles and references. If it is an American company, then you do not need to put your date of birth.

Whe on this same thread, close to 20 people have shared their own shots but it is my own shot that will convince you or give you knwledge?

You need to go to the streets, probably corpers lodges and ask for their handbooks and see for yourself if the numerous ones they have posted online haven't satisfied or given you enough knowledge.

BTW, NYSC has finally admitted.
