What if the big pond never makes an offer. It's best to make decisions based on realities on ground and not work with assumptions. Everyone has the ability to adapt. I'll say take the bathtub. If things change and there is need to re-evaluate, you can always do that.

GTs advice a brethren ó. I applied to a major Nigerian IT company to be a small fish in a big pond. However a subsidiary of this company is offering to make me a big fish in a bathtub. The catch is that I will use experience from my current job (a backroom role) to improve their operations while working in a client facing role. Pay and responsibility not commensurate. In the big pond I'm gonna learn and be tutored. In the bathtub I'm gonna tutor folks. I'm a shy person (despite my loquacious nature here) and will feel very uncomfortable facing clients although this is not something I cannot surmount. I have edited the problem. I tried to put a space indicating that the if applied only to b=25 but some how that space vanished

I am not Igbo (even though Yorùbá folks classify all southern non Yorùbá people as Igbo) but our memories should not so easily fail us. As for your assertions of dominance, you are spot on. This is the achilles heel of the easterners. They go into a territory and try to dominate the locals. Funny enough the Jews (I'm not by this insinuating that ndigbo are Jewish) tried dominating the whole of Europe and got Hitler pissed. Now they still dominate but in a very very subtle way
