At all... Thanks. I can't start delving into d specifics but it seems I've been headhunted. Apparently the CEO of big pond was very impressed with my experience that she felt I will best serve the bathtub that is struggling with their operations. Bathtub CEO was so keen for me to start immediately but I chose to "yet him" (post him) so that I don't come across as cheap/desperate. I know I will work with them but na how to free myself from current boss now na be d koko. Cos the guy will be stunned to d centre of his bone marrow |

ladyF: Like they say...a bird in hand...
What if the big pond never makes an offer. It's best to make decisions based on realities on ground and not work with assumptions. Everyone has the ability to adapt. I'll say take the bathtub. If things change and there is need to re-evaluate, you can always do that. What of a cray fish in hand? And what if the bathtub is actually a wash hand basin? (currently at d office waiting for the ceo) |

GTs advice a brethren ó. I applied to a major Nigerian IT company to be a small fish in a big pond. However a subsidiary of this company is offering to make me a big fish in a bathtub. The catch is that I will use experience from my current job (a backroom role) to improve their operations while working in a client facing role. Pay and responsibility not commensurate. In the big pond I'm gonna learn and be tutored. In the bathtub I'm gonna tutor folks. I'm a shy person (despite my loquacious nature here) and will feel very uncomfortable facing clients although this is not something I cannot surmount. Given this scenario what would u candidly advice? The big pond have not made an offer but the bathtub has |

Consider the following pseudocode.
program main () begin integer p, q, r, s p = 6 q = 7 r = 8 s = fxn (p, q, r) print s, p, q, r end
integer fxn (integer a, integer b, integer c) begin if (a > 6) then b = 25 c = a + b return b + c end
If fxn uses call-by-reference, what values would be printed as a result of executing the pseudocode? |

freeborn76: The rate at which Igbos celebrated (are celebrating) the Mile 12 fracas shows the depth of hate they have for Yorubas and indeed other tribes. Igbos live and thrive in Western Nigeria, they are everywhere in the North and they even want to claim the South South, yet they spew hatred...no wonder the entire Southeast looks like a horror movie-like wasted haunted land. I sincerely think it's time we discussed Biafra and let these bigots go, I cannot imagine sharing a republic with such heartless human beings. Everywhere they go-South Africa, Ghana, Cameroon, US, Germany etc. they struggle for relevance with their host and give the entire nation a bad name. Please just go and establish you Biafra! I am not Igbo (even though Yorùbá folks classify all southern non Yorùbá people as Igbo) but our memories should not so easily fail us. When the Nigerian police and Army where doing target practice with ndigbo during the recent biafra uprising in the East this forum was littered with people of Yorùbá extraction egging the security forces on baying for more blood. I'm not sure you commented on the level of hate shown then. The Americans say payback is a female dog! As for your assertions of dominance, you are spot on. This is the achilles heel of the easterners. They go into a territory and try to dominate the locals. Funny enough the Jews (I'm not by this insinuating that ndigbo are Jewish) tried dominating the whole of Europe and got Hitler pissed. Now they still dominate but in a very very subtle way |
