You dont even know what you claim you work with. What warehousing solution do you use? cause am sure its called first expired
Hahaha. Wikipedia giving you so much confidence to say rubbish. It's First Expiry. And I use a bespoke WMS

so what is first expired first out used for? You assume too much dude and you know very little. Your ignorance betrays you.
Hian! Your ignorance goes ahead of you. Just so I school you it's FIRST EXPIRY not expired. It is used to ensure that the oldest batch of a product is shipped out prior to a more recent batch. I am done responding to you.

Na wa for this thread o, big wa.

In any case, I thought I would drop my 2 kobo for this thread. Basically, from what I have seen, it's never right/proper for one to describe themselves as a "Master Coder, Master Dev, Dev Guru, Dev 3lit3, Advanced Programmer, etc. etc."

The reason I say so is because when coding, there are always far more things to learn or grasp. The way code is written, it can always be written in a better and easier way for others to understand.

I for instance consider myself as a Novice to Intermediate Programmer. It's a constant learning experience. Programming/Coding is problem-solving for the most part. I don't think it's ever good to be elite or brag about oneself as an elite in programming. I think it's good to be modest and learn something new and realise how incredible and important the skill you have is to code/programme.

In any case, I wish everyone the best. I know NL can do better. I have seen many good Nigerian programmers and I think we can all do better to assist one another and compliment and critique one another in a positive (albeit non-childish) manner. I hope that we are all adults here.

Best regards to all.
Your moniker and strong opinions about the Bororo always made me a bit wary of you. But this right here is the exact reason why a book should never be judged by its cover. Love ever bit of what you have said. There is nothing like a master coder. Where someone's madness stops is where another person's own begins. Big up

You are a BIG LIAR. Please stop it...... Do you even have a clue what a warehouse or erp is??
Obviously if I start mentioning directed putaway using FEFO or pick instructions using same FEFO you will be clueless. Wave picks, man-to-product vs product-to-man or even stacking pattern are all strange words to you. So also will financial module or purchase requisition will sound like Chinese to your small mind
ProgrammingRe: The Greatest Programmer On Nairaland by airsaylongcon: 12:57am On Feb 25, 2016
seunthomas:
You are also a liar too. Cause in your earlier posts you made mention of using prolog to control a robotic arm. Kicked your *ss.
Hahaha! Obviously you cannot tell a personal project from a work project. Who does major work with a raspberry Pi? I have hacked together a manually controlled toy robotic arm to a raspberry so the raspberry can control the arm. Add a camera for computer vision then Prolog to ADD AI so the contraption can learn as an intelligent agent.

My day job involves project managing a warehouse management system and an ERP. Automate certain parts of the operation on both. Joke is on you

You cant reach drag with me. You no sabi code. I cant smell it on you. If really you are coder it would show in your vocabulary.
Lol. A coder is below a software engineer or a project manager. I am NOT a coder but if I HAVE TO I can write code. I don't brag about coding. I project manage coders and ensure QA is met. Deal with that

At the end of your ranting you still haven't proven yourself to be a superior programmer. You jumped on a C thread attacking dhtml that he knows only objective C and that he's an olodo. And u expect him not to counter punch u? You think the best way to show superiority is by challenging him to a contest? Like asalimpo said, you acting like a kid bragging all what not. I'm not as good as you o but if I was I won't be trolling on Nairaland. I will be looking to better myself with my contemporaries abroad. Not bragging that I started programming since 98 with nothing to sure for it. Immature dumb fvck

I'm not asking if you abused the past or praise the present. My question is did you try to stop people that abused the past president the way you are trying to stop people abusing the current president? Did you speak up to say it wasn't right? Did you speak up when a foreign media called your former president a buffoon? Did you? Yes or No

I suspect you are one of those who claim languages they dont know nothing about. So what do you do with prolog and ada. mind elightening us a little. lol
I never claimed to use ADA. As for Prolog, I'm currently using it to add artificial intelligence to a raspberry Pi controlled robotic arm.

In your words you started programming in 98. That's 5 years after I picked my first programming book. I agree you are superior. Lets leave it at that

seunthomas:
Dude i sense a challenge from you. Funny enough i experienced all those languages u are talking about even some u probably never used like ada. So please bring the fight on...... If not you can go and sissy like @dhtml.
Challenge you? How does that benefit me? Funny you mention ADA like it's some exotic language. These days I'm more into functional programming using Prolog. So no I'm not challenging you. Everyone knows you are better than me. Even I know. My question was "of what mutual benefit is engaging in a challenge with some faceless person on NL". Bragging rights?
ProgrammingRe: The Greatest Programmer On Nairaland by airsaylongcon: 3:35pm On Feb 24, 2016
seunthomas:
Its good you are so proverbial and consider yourself as spokesperson for @dhtml. he already said he would win by poll. LOL. I guess thats what it entails to be a programmer in naija right? Anyway i dont need to massage my ego and like i have always told the sissy, I dont need to prove anything to anyone but i thought he would at least show some courage by responding to my challenge. The whole essense of the challenge being to see how confident he is in what he knows. Apparently, he is not. I dont even consider him a programmer and rightly so you too. One of the reasons we code is so we can have bragging rights(most programmers do that) i guess you would not know anything about that. As for dhtml, since he is not up to the challenge i advice him to stop making so much f**cking noise on NL. He may be an average programmer but he should stop talking or feeling like he is there. Its kinda the pi** off.
I laff out loud at your bragging o. I been coding from BASIC to QBASIC to Pascal to C/C++ to Java to PHP. Coded on the Commodore64, BBC Micro, Down to IBM. Coded when programs were saved on radio cassette tapes. But I'm not gonna get in programming jujitsu with you. There's more to computing than programming. These days I'm too lazy to start programming. I focus my efforts on coming up with innovative ways to use existing solutions that are beneficial locally. If however you enjoy programming to have bragging rights be my guest. I'm in it for the love of the profession and the numerous benefits it can bring.

Remember that programming enables us do a lot of things more efficiently, but most of those things we strive to do efficiently don't need to be done in the first place. I am a functional guy not a technical guy. Kudos to you
ProgrammingRe: The Greatest Programmer On Nairaland by airsaylongcon: 3:06pm On Feb 24, 2016
What end does this serve apart from massaging your egos? Whoever eon anything gorgeous being the "baddest" coder. Awon yoruba so wi pe ona kan o wo ja. What someone considers as a clever elegant solution might be considered as wasteful by another.

The US also has its federal police, the FBI isn't. Do you know that the Secret Service was like our own EFCC until 1901 when the scope of work was reviewed, to include protecting the President after the assassination of President Mackingly?
Please what is the US Federal police called? *honest question*

The fact that the Secret Service *was* similar to the EFCC years ago does not remove the fact that they have become a highly trained unit for providing close protection for VIPs. In Nigeria the DSS are the ones with equivalent training and weapons. They should be left to provide close protection for the commander in chief

Dragnet apologise for what exactly? I am sure you have had a go at MTN or some other network provider when they failed to provide you a service. I would have a go at anyone who failed to provide a service I have paid for. Reverse the situation if it was Furetin20 that was demanding his money after sending data and the OPs friend was playing games. Surely sango and amadioha would have been send on errand by Furetin. Long story short the end justifies the means. Furetin I'm not suggesting u r a scammer but being obstinate when you are wrong (and have admitted it) is not very productive

The FBI is equivalent to our federal police. They do not provide protection for the POTUS. The Secret Service does and they are the equivalent of our DSS

Your insulting responses sometimes tells a lot about your background, maturity and understanding of issues.
no hard feelings, it's just my observation.
For as long as the ruling party called the former president clueless and refused to issue a strongly worded response when he was call a buffoon by foreign media, insults will continually be hurled at the current president
