Not ironclad as you may think, friends of a friend can view your post and pictures...even after further restrictions for posts and profiles to only be accessible to friends....if a friend like any of your posts or picture, by defaults since friends can view other friends likes, their friends who are not yours, can then also view your post or pictures that have been liked.

I had a Ghanaian friend who had his fb completely locked down a few years back. I couldn't comment on his posts. My memory fails me if I could like the posts as well

There is a way around that, since fb posts are visible to friends of a friend.

All your parents or that individual need do is to befriend one of your friends and this could be another relative and voila! they can read your wall and see your profile pic, album, etc.

I *think* there's a setting to prevent friends of a friend viewing your posts

Your first line of action is to repair your partition using Testdisk. For this you aren't going to need a 2nd HDD.

If the above fails and you have to format and recover your files then you WILL need a 2nd HDD as you cannot save the recovered files to the HDD where you are recovering from. This is so 5hat you do not overwrite yet-to-be-recovered files

Well, there are ways and means of getting those paid for apps without erm *coughs* actually *clears throat* paying. Testdisk is quite robust enough for such recoveries. Plus I'm actually revealing to you tools I use when I charge clients N5k+ a pop for these types of job.

You actually ran chkdsk on your OS drive.

Chkdsk would not work on a raw disk.

Do not format the drive.

Download and run testdisk to try and recover the lost partition and data.

Then, you can back up your data and run chkdsk /f on the external hard drive. Be sure to specify the appropriate drive letter as well.

I normally would format the drive and immediately run recovery on it using a combination of Testdisk/Photorec and GetDataBack or Easeus

I hope you are comfortable using command line because Testdisk is a command line interface program. Also run Testdisk as Administrator. See here for a step by step process to recover partition

They don't o. I fought them to a standstill and got nothing. Truth is the modem is subsidised by them and they are entitled to lock it to their network. 4G modems are pricier than what you paid for it plus they know u wanna go to spectranet. I even called the manufacturer in the US and ended up in a voice mail. But as a techie I am currently reading up how modems/phones are network locked. I must unlock it irrespective of how long it takes cos that modem battery out lasts spectranet's own

Create a friend category called "Parents" (or whatever you want to call it) and add your parents there. Then ensure whatever you share/post on Facebook is not visible to that category. They will never see what they are looking for

Just so you know, I'm using imac( 8gb ram and 1tera) to write programs in the office, and this has to be the worst system ever. Only one server works well with Mac os which is mamp(and youve to pay for it). And it's by far the slowest of all. I compiled a php program using my 4gb RAM system with xampp and it was 3 times faster than my imac.

Besides, if Mac os was that flexible, how come developers hardly write serious apps for it? Fifa, pes, hit man and other power games wasn't developed for Mac for the same reason. Please get your facts right

Stream YouTube, whatsapp calls, Skype video calls all super clear (with the obvious hiccups once in a while). I've actually had an hour's presentation from the US. All inside my lean 25gig O. Even to hack their modem to unlock am is impossible. The manufacturer of the modem is almost unreachable
