Frizy:On the contrary, there is something good that I believe in and that is Jesus Christ and the one whom sent him forth, his daddy who incidentally happens to be the almighty creator God Jehovah that has never changed and never would from time indefinite to time indefinite. First of all, this is not an attempt to engage you in any sort of argument as I do not see the reason for that in the very least, however, since you have laid an allegation that there is nothing good that I can believe in, I deign to make a rebuttal by saying emphatically that there is actually some good news that I believe in. This news has been told since the days of the fall of man, right in the garden of Eden when a promise of a seed was made that would restore the balance of the system (Genesis 3:15). This same promise was made to Noah after the destruction of the wicked by the flood (Genesis 9:8,9). The records of the covenant which Abraham had with this God is common knowledge to the three Faiths of the book and it is a promise that has been given to the faithful ones of old as recorded in Hebrews 11:11-40) The entire premise of the good news is that Jesus Christ as "the son of the almighty God" is the simplest and most stress free way to being a part of the emergent system of things after this wicked system must have passed away. So, anything to the contrary is somewhat hard for me to swallow much less this "Barnabas gospel". rather than it being a part of the good news, it reeks of fallacy from the pits of confusion to me as it has wholly contradicted all accounts as recorded in the bible that lends credence to the fact of the man Jesus being the son of God (John 17:3, 3:13, 10:36, 4:25, Luke 24:44-48 amongst others. Please ensure you look through the texts and compare with your wonderful new gospel. In the entire story of redemption, there has always been one unmistakable thread, and to feign ignorance of that recurring theme implies that the faith that one subscribes to might not be the one that was bequeathed to the apostles and other faithful upon the ascension of the saviour into heaven (Acts 1:3). It is no longer news that the practice of christianity has been hijacked over the centuries, right even in the days of Jesus's contemporaries, but it is a gift of the spirit that the authentic message of the gospel and the chronology of the unfolding of the ultimate mystery of the grand designer, the father of Jesus Christ and our father, the almighty, one true and living God is documented for the perusal of rational, reasonable mankind today. At least John was regarded as a credible authority in the early congregation of the faithful, had he gleaned any new insight, he would have documented as much prior to his earthly demise as he was known to have been well into his nineties at the time of his writing the Apocalypse which is regarded as the last credible writing of any witness to Christs life and times, he might have corroborated some of Barnabas claims were they to have been factual and moreover, I seriously doubt that Barnabas that walked with the faithful would have written such words sha .Methinks however, that this Barnabas thing is a contraption of an intelligent mind intent on some mischief bent on compromising the sovereignty of Jehovah as the God who has placed all authority under his son, for to whom did he say "sit at my right hand until I make thy enemies thy footstool". So, y'all beware, if one wants to attempt a conversion to another faith, be converted with facts as the teachings of Christ cannot be embellished with ill thought out smear campaigns at their veracity. He that has an ear, let him hear. And mind you, one other good thing I believe in, I actually believe that Jesus really wants to save you Frizy and all mankind at that ![]() |

Well, the day of judgement, whether it be a particular twenty four hour day or a duration of time is an event that everybody should eagerly yearn for as it should signify the end of this present system of things. The current injustices, sufferings, wars and all the imbalances of existence that man has created in the system shall be rectified on that day and the ultimate will of the almighty creator shall be brought to bear on his creation. Thats why Jesus thought us to pray for the coming of this day when he said among others, ". . .let thy kingdom come, let thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. . ." This is not a day that one should be scared of, rather it is a day for all good people to eagerly await as it signifies the ultimate redemption of mankind. Abeg, if the day fit come now now sef, alleluyah ![]() |

Hmmm, I kind of expected this you know, while all the attention of the season had been focused on arsenal and united's struggles for top place, Terry and his lads just wanted to prove a point and might I add here that the role as being played by Grant is more or less required. Na this one we dey call slow and steady . Any how, united still has the edge though but kudos must go the the chelsea players who albeit unexpectedly has provided us with an exciting epilogue to the premiership this season (something we haven't had for some while now). I am tempted to believe that these two teams would square up against each other in the European climax. How well can one express the dominance of the English game when the first and second placed teams in the pinnacle of English football face off in the ucl. . .drooling ![]() |
Jackal has made a very concise explanation on the performance of the english premiership. It is kudos deserved of the organisation and implementation of a sporting nay footballing policy on the English society. Unlike a few years ago when the Italian Serie A and the Spanish La Liga were rated above the English game, these four clubs most importantly have shone, showing the extent to which the game in England had developed. So when I see some vituperations being spewed on these threads due to extreme club loyalties and fanaticism, it beats me that instead of celebrating the game most folk are blinded by sentiments, thus depriving them of the full enjoyment of the lovely football being displayed week in and week out in England as well as in the continent. The big four as they are wont to be called have invested heavily on the discovery and developement of talents right from childhood and thes talents stand toe to toe with the foreign legion who throng the league for diverse reasons. At the end of the day, the thrills, excitement and unpredictability that the game promises are fulfilled. There might be heartbreaks and triumphs, but each clubside must live to fight another day. This season looks more or less a straight fight between two out of the Big four in the premiership and it is credit to the game in England that her four reps made it to the q-finals of the ucl, with three gunning for the epl. No matter the outcome of the remaining games, the English premiership would continue to satisfy a yearning for some good entertainment as there exists in the leagus such potentials as Blackburn Rovers who incidentally are former epl champions, Spurs, Everton etc. These guys might be underachievers as of the now, but they sure got some ambitions. Tomorrows game might just swing the pendulum towards United's favour, but a slip up would see both teams struggling till the conclusion of the season. Up football ![]() I love this game ![]() |
up man u ![]() |
Okay we've been talking about the guys now, what about our ladies, there should've been a thread dedicated to them a long time ago, but as you know we are all trying to curtail thread duplicity these days ![]() Even more so, the olympic football event is structured from group A to H, with four teams per group. A-D is for the brothers and E to H is for the sisters. Our Naija sisters happen to be in group F, playing their games in Shenyang, and they have as group contenders heavyweights such as both teams that played the final of the last women championship, Germany who are the current world champions and Brazil, losing finalists in the same competition. Korea remains the team that we can hope for a full three points as they have lost to Nigerian opposition before, if we can put up a disciplined game, then we can hope to steal at least a point from either of the other two teams (who knows, the girls might even create an upset win). It is very obvious that our ladies are the underdogs in this here group, but i believe that underdogs still can bite. it's gonno be a herculean task sha, but i expect the girls to have matured in the game at least to secure a last eight slot, from there like I always say, anything can happen. The womens football event has no age limitation in the olympics, at least for now. |
What makes the song, is it the words of the song or the sound of the accompanying beat? These two come together to form a harmony and rhythm, but taken seperately, is a song defined by it's lyrics or it's beat. . . ![]() |
