JayFK:Yes he does, that plan is currently being unfolded and would yield appropriate fruits when the part two of life commences, that is when his kingdom begins to exert rulership and authority over all the earth. It's a considerably small time considering the entire length of human history. While we're here, we need not be despondent as the life is like a test of faith. okay, adam sinned, lets all just blame it on him, but your life gives you the chance to prove that had you been adam, what would you have done under the circumstance. prove yourself worthy of his grace and no matter the strife and struggles that this life presents to you, never succomb to the wiles of the wicked one. suicide, that is taking the easier route, y'all are much stronger than that okay? ![]() |
reporting live from benin city The decision of the election tribunal in Edo state that gave a ruling to the effect that Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the candidate of the Action Congress in the April 14 2007 Edo gubernatorial election, be returned as the elected governor elicited general acclaim by most within the city. There was spontaneous celebrations in different parts and many such events in most other parts of the state as the judgement was greeted with joy. Previously, there was an apprehensive calm within the city centre as most were wary of any untoward incident(s) , however, the security was such that would instil reason to any miscreant. Elsewhere in the city, the majority of the populace expressed reservations about the ultimate outcome of a ruling that spanned hours, this was not surprising as many of the citizens were witnessing a live ruling for the first time. At least most got a tutelage on the runnings of the judiciary. The long wait however turned out to be worthwhile as the chairman of the tribunal finally gave a definitive ruling, and in most parts of the city, the hurrahs and backslappings gave an insight as to how a people appreciated their choices as leaders. This approach however might just turn out to be shortlived, as it is expected of the incumbent governor, former senator and Proffessor Osariemen Osunbor to file an appeal, his continued stay as the governor might be finally dependent on that final ruling. Coming amidst a spate of earlier tribunal rulings, the professor might not be too perturbed as he probably might have well known that the tables might turn to his disfavour. Riding on the crest of the 'Baba' PDP, he laid claim to a mandate most of his constituents claim was not given to him. The professor however has quickly learned the art of statecraft and despite the many odds that may seem to assail him in his less than twelve months term in office, he has consistently weathered the storm and has in a sort of way warmed himself into the hearts of liberal citizens. A few projects that are observed as one goes around the city especially and in other parts of the state has somewhat won him some sympathy. The angle of the godfathers is thus played out in his favour by the ruling of the tribunal chairman as hitherto expected by liberal minded folk. It was assumed that the battle for the soul of the PDP at the national level has been replicated in the state. Try as they might, the power play amongst the assumed heavyweights brazenly reared it's head in the recent state convention where parrallel conventions were held with the governor as the leader of the nationally recognised convention. The twist to the tale is that moves had been explored to ensure that the governor was not to be the party flag bearer in the event of a re election, however, the tribunal chairman had done the dirty work for the governor and has streamlined his next mission, "Appeal or bust" .Now, Osunbor knows that his fate lies with the appeal he is expected to file, but will he file for appeal. The hawks within the party would want him to and wrest power from the opposing party, thus making it a pary affair, but some whom might be classified as just below the doves would convince the incumbent to honourably resign, being the gentleman that he is, thus saving the tax payer much expense. This would be seen to be working together towards the greater good of the Edo people, where party affiliations would be relegated to the background and all would be seen to be working towards the common good for the greater number of the populace. For Benin? ![]() So whatever, the outcome of the judgement has been heard, there is bound to be much ado, some would wait for a resignation which is far fetched and most would eagerly look forward to the next thirty days and the subsequent supreme court ruling. Till then, lets keep the peace. . . |

I like how this is very unbecoming and concomitantly destabilising on the psyche of the other male imitation of manliness present in this thread. As so aptly sauced by the kid, this guy here is just only on his very first post and already he's re-enacting the didactic phrases that earned romeo a lifelong sobriquet for the romantic stereotype. As much as I do not like to care no heed for the vocabulistic developements of ifyalways, I cannot help but exclaim an emphatic caveat. . . to the tantrums of this nascent enfant terrible w h a t d a h e l l l l , no be only turkey sabi speak ninglish ![]() |

During the great dispersal of man at the very infant stage of mankind, many men sojourned to the very ends of the earth, and while some flourished and gave rise to massive empires and kingdoms, some were content at just maintaining an equilibrium with the earth and all her inhabitants. In Africa, while ancient Egypt and Ethiopia is regarded by history as a place where early settlements thrived, it is also worthy of note that the movement was towards the coast, an area that is balanced by earth and sea. Our earliest fore fathers had foregleams of that time in human history where man was at peace with the earth and the thriving city states and kingdoms that survived even to these modern times have regaled us of legends where injustice was abhorred upon and hardwork and productivity was encouraged and it was an honour to be called a good man or a virtuous woman. The ways of the world have corrupted that system and what we see today is a deviation of that arrangement. Religious sentiments have come to becloud the the practices that were passed on from thousands of years and it has been reduced to a religious phrase ala African Traditional Religions. I still want to believe that at some point, the African peoples prior to the coming of Europeans had some sort of understanding with the laws that governed creation as the peak of alleged atrocities which is human sacrifice, was only carried out after a murder, or any other very grievious offense to the people and to the land or sea. Mind you, there were both negative and positive forces of creation at play at that time, just as they are at play even to this present day. But for any other man who would want to reasonably explore the plausibility of an idea, he would find a lot of reason in some of the things that has been made known to us thanks to the information and enlightenment that is available to us and at our disposal |
The essence of our salvation is predicated on a sacrifice of love, and if the father can choose the love of the many over paternal emotions, then that sacrifice was worth the ransome of which it paid. This is why the man Jesus was so significant to human history as he became the son that was to be made as a ransome for the many. It is not difficult to know amidst the pages of the bible that human sacrifices were mentioned. Prior to the coming of the man Jesus, it was spiritually neccessary to make blood recompense and not only did old Israel partake in animal sacrifice, human sacrifice was not unheard of in extreme circumstances. The early incident of Abraham and Isaac was a reminder to the children of Israel that it is the father that required the life, which was the blood. The poster obviously would choose not to divulge that little bit of detail that took place in the genesis accounts of those early times. So while the other nations chose to make human sacrifices, they were an offensive odour to the one who is the rightful owner of the life. Every action must have a reaction, and it has been known that the father had smote many as a cleansing ritual when the nation of Israel were marrying amongst the other nations. But when he is not the one that requires it, it becomes an anomaly when it is done. So when and where it was written as contained in the bible, there were reasons for it as Jeptha's case was in fulfillment of a vow if a seeming miracle occured, which it did mind you. |
Jehovah is all in all things, his will is even now being manifested till the end of times, for he has purposed it and it shall become. This is as we know it and it is as it was known to many men who have been a witness to this one who knows the end even from the beginning for over the thousands of years that mankind has dominated the earth. This is the one who is causing his will to become in the eyes of the world of man, and no ideology or belief or political structure would be left standing after his wake. . . |

Mmm, thanksalot for your response to my enquiries, I must say that although I expected that such an enterprise won't come cheap like you rightly mentioned, but thye rates which you cited's gonna have me bankrupt real fast but I really want to do this and from your threads which I perused, I see that them South African brothers are already into this animated thing real deep. You mentioned about some big millions used in Hollywood animation and about 2.5k USD for a minute of animated production, but this is kind of waaay beyond my budget. Ain't there something that could be done which would be much simpler and less expensive (infact very less expensive) ? I see some locally produced animation stuff on nigerian television and I know that these things don't cost hell. I would'nt mind the most basic of these things as this production is not one that would be in competition with what is available in Hollywood. I just want to tell a story that'll be delivered from a different perspective from what is currently available. It's a 90 minute flick sorry, and not 130 minutes. You could call me an independent investor that have dabbled into local home video production which cost about 300k per production. I would'nt mind investing these funds in a low budget animated story. If e no go work, maybe I'll just have to wait awhile until I got some bigger bucks, but then, if it's possible, I no mind take this risk meeen. And thanks again for your response, I really appreciate. Abeg, anyone out there that thinks it's gonna be possible for something in the cost range I mentioned? |

jemit: iparrot:3d, 2d, all these d talk dey make me remember my day's for primary school, and in the pecking order, those in primary 1a or 2b, were considered as the egg heads. C classes were considered okay too as they were usually capable of causing upsets and breaking the ranks into a classes and b classes, but those guys in d meeen Some naughty ones amongst us then used to call them d for dullards. I know many of kids wey cry well well due to those childhood teasings. Today, thankfully, a lot of them are doing okay with their lives. Sorry for that small dive into memory lane, just this dimensional terminologies I no grab like that, but since the days of my small pikinhood, I loved cartoons like Tom and Jerry, Scooby doo, Speed Racer stuff that kids love. But see what I'm thinking. I know Lagbaja Surulere video, while that is not what I want, it gives me a base for my thots. I'm not talking about a 'Shrek' kind of concept, rather something like an 'Aladdin' thing. It'll be like a simple pencil, paper and colour arrangement. It might have some heavy population, like the need for some crowd, but that I know can be done and there might be the need for some fight and battle scenes. But a major cast of about eight characters or even less would do for 90 minutes or thereabouts. I no dey hurry as such, but I have to schedule something into the first quarter of 08, I would like to experience a deviation from what is available and am seriously considering an animated production. But folks wey get these things for head are hard to come by in BC, I never fit get good reference. I just want to know the effect that such a project would have on my finances. A cost in the 100k range that should not exceed 150k, if that's not too ridiculous. If it is, then could someone please tell what isn't. . . |
