Prices from Beger VI, Lagos in the month of July. But make sure you negotiate real hard and don't feel intimidated.
Cement/bagĀ  1600 - 1700 naira
20Tons GraniteĀ  85 - 90 naira
Properties / Re: What's The Best Cement In The Market by ajileko: 11:42pm On Aug 03, 2009
Price doesn't make one product better than the other but brand. Elephant brand has been around for long time, in fact Elephant cement use to be the only brand of cement available in Nigeria. The extra price you pay is for brand name. Also, I wouldn't advice you to stockpile on cement for very long time because the average life is short. Dangote Cement that you are talking about is imported from abroad and bagged in Nigeria.
Properties / Re: What's The Best Cement In The Market by ajileko: 7:18pm On Aug 03, 2009
For cement, they are all the same and they all have the same quality. Buying in bulk will definitely save you money.

Properties / Re: People Want To Steal My Land, house Pls Help by ajileko: 1:28am On Jul 29, 2009
From now on, you are in good hand and I'm sure Emmyboy will take care of you. You must learn from this and don't put your trust in too many people. Who are "they" and "them" they are only interested in their own pocket, you can not do that. You can't buy a land and stay oversea and expect someone to help you develop it. It doesn't work that way, you must come home often, every year or every other year to see the progress and you must also take as much control remotely as you can by getting involve in every stage.
Properties / Re: People Want To Steal My Land, house Pls Help by ajileko: 7:30pm On Jul 28, 2009
Emmyboy, please help him. Don't let him forfeit his land, please.
Properties / Re: Who Pays The "estate Agent"? by ajileko: 8:29pm On Jul 27, 2009
Sure I agreed with you 100%, we are encouraging bad habit but remember, these boys have nothing to loose. You want to be able to go to sleep at night, I'm sure.
Properties / Re: Who Pays The "estate Agent"? by ajileko: 6:01pm On Jul 27, 2009
Yes and by right, the owner should settle him for bringing a buyer for the land but it is not uncommon for touts to double deal. So for goodwill sake, give him something. Legally, you don't have to but for peace sake give him something for ogogoro or igbo, it will go a long way.
Properties / Re: Cost Of Roofing With Alluminium Long Span by ajileko: 5:50pm On Jul 23, 2009
Thanks woodpecker for the correction and I"ll admit to you that roofing is an area I know absolutely nothing about. If you don't mind, I'm interested in knowing more about the cost implications between these two materials as compare with aluminium. I am at that stage now where I need estimation/quote on roofing to complete my project.

Properties / Re: House Foundation Cost Quotation by ajileko: 9:47pm On Jul 19, 2009
@ lanre, here you are stating the obvious again. This is building 101 that you are talking about and most people here already took and passed that course with flying colour. What the poster was trying to know is wether 600k is too much for a strip foundation in Sango Ota and the answer is "yes" given what we know, 600k is way too much for just a foundation. High price does not guarantee quality and quality should not be over priced.
Properties / Re: Cost Of Building A Bungalow by ajileko: 3:23am On Jul 18, 2009
@ Grace5
I'm not an architect but talking from my experience in building a house. I'm sure Ytechconst and desse can help you. Architectural plan/design is not free so be ready to pay.
Properties / Re: Cost Of Building A Bungalow by ajileko: 3:40pm On Jul 17, 2009
@ Bimbo, please go ahead and get the land first and we can now talk about building. But please, let's look beyond bungalow and go for a nice duplex. Also factor the omonle and legal fee in your cost when negotiating on the land.

Properties / Re: Cost Of Roofing With Alluminium Long Span by ajileko: 12:04am On Jul 17, 2009
Slate roof is very durable. If done right, it should last about 50 years.
Properties / Re: Cost Of Building A Bungalow by ajileko: 10:24pm On Jul 16, 2009
As for low price, I don't know about that but first of, you will need architectural plan of the house/drawing plus approval. Then you can start thinking of building. Depending on your taste, you could spend anywhere from 4 million to any amount you want.
Properties / Re: Cost Of Roofing With Alluminium Long Span by ajileko: 9:59pm On Jul 16, 2009
Slate roof is also called asbestos roof. Very nice and less expensive.
Properties / Re: Cost Of Building A Bungalow by ajileko: 8:40pm On Jul 16, 2009
Yemi is correct. It will cost you between 3.5 to 4 million. Again, the location of your land matters and can either save you or cost you more money but no more that 4 mill.

Properties / Re: Cost Of Roofing With Alluminium Long Span by ajileko: 4:18am On Jul 15, 2009
@ poster
why don't you go with slate roofing? It's just as good and you will save a whole bunch.
