I will be interested in this Gen. Is this unit in Lagos ? |
I sold dollar for 158 in lagos, Oju-elegba to malam yusuf |
But how, please explain. what and what do I need. |
Sorry, I mean 85 - 90k |
Are you familiar with Lagos? around ajah area, what kind of soil are we dealing with and at what dept can we find clean drinking water and what is the cost implications. Thanks. |
3bdrms with 1 dinning room and a bathroom will cost about 2.5 million. The 2bdrms will cost close to 2 million. |
:d |
Prices from Beger VI, Lagos in the month of July. But make sure you negotiate real hard and don't feel intimidated. Cement/bag 1600 - 1700 naira 20Tons Granite 85 - 90 naira |
Price doesn't make one product better than the other but brand. Elephant brand has been around for long time, in fact Elephant cement use to be the only brand of cement available in Nigeria. The extra price you pay is for brand name. Also, I wouldn't advice you to stockpile on cement for very long time because the average life is short. Dangote Cement that you are talking about is imported from abroad and bagged in Nigeria. |
For cement, they are all the same and they all have the same quality. Buying in bulk will definitely save you money. |
For a 2 bdrms flat, I will say 2.5 million will do. |

From now on, you are in good hand and I'm sure Emmyboy will take care of you. You must learn from this and don't put your trust in too many people. Who are "they" and "them" they are only interested in their own pocket, you can not do that. You can't buy a land and stay oversea and expect someone to help you develop it. It doesn't work that way, you must come home often, every year or every other year to see the progress and you must also take as much control remotely as you can by getting involve in every stage. |
Emmyboy, please help him. Don't let him forfeit his land, please. |
Sure I agreed with you 100%, we are encouraging bad habit but remember, these boys have nothing to loose. You want to be able to go to sleep at night, I'm sure. |
Yes and by right, the owner should settle him for bringing a buyer for the land but it is not uncommon for touts to double deal. So for goodwill sake, give him something. Legally, you don't have to but for peace sake give him something for ogogoro or igbo, it will go a long way. |
Thanks woodpecker for the correction and I"ll admit to you that roofing is an area I know absolutely nothing about. If you don't mind, I'm interested in knowing more about the cost implications between these two materials as compare with aluminium. I am at that stage now where I need estimation/quote on roofing to complete my project. |
Sorry I meant to say folasade, kind of a heavy set lady and she told me alot about you. |
If you read this post carefully, you will see my break downs. And just for your info, I'm not a builder. |
Lanre kilo de, kini big deal now, anyway mo meet girl kan ni college park ti ode mo yin dada. Titilayo ni oruko re. |
@ lanre, here you are stating the obvious again. This is building 101 that you are talking about and most people here already took and passed that course with flying colour. What the poster was trying to know is wether 600k is too much for a strip foundation in Sango Ota and the answer is "yes" given what we know, 600k is way too much for just a foundation. High price does not guarantee quality and quality should not be over priced. |
@ Grace5 I'm not an architect but talking from my experience in building a house. I'm sure Ytechconst and desse can help you. Architectural plan/design is not free so be ready to pay. |
@ Bimbo, please go ahead and get the land first and we can now talk about building. But please, let's look beyond bungalow and go for a nice duplex. Also factor the omonle and legal fee in your cost when negotiating on the land. |
Pictures please. |
This is for dollar $ only. Goto the pound section. |
Slate roof is very durable. If done right, it should last about 50 years. |
As for low price, I don't know about that but first of, you will need architectural plan of the house/drawing plus approval. Then you can start thinking of building. Depending on your taste, you could spend anywhere from 4 million to any amount you want. |
Slate roof is also called asbestos roof. Very nice and less expensive. |
Yemi is correct. It will cost you between 3.5 to 4 million. Again, the location of your land matters and can either save you or cost you more money but no more that 4 mill. |
What are your offers on roofing materials and windows? I need estimate on the cost of roofing materials for my house. |
@mykel09 If I may ask, what size is the house in terms of how many bdrms and what is the sq meters. |
@ poster why don't you go with slate roofing? It's just as good and you will save a whole bunch. |
