@promise72
Well, the fabricated blocks are made with the automatic block maker (machine) they are a lot stronger and better while the manual blocks are the one you can do yourself.

Properties / Re: Granite Supply by ajileko: 11:47pm On Dec 04, 2008
Last week I purchased granite and sharp sand for my building project in Okun Ajah. Here are the prices I paid after negotiating hard.
Granite 10Tons cost 50,000 naira & Sharp Sand 10Tons (Ikorodu) 40,000 naira including delivery fee from Beger to Okun Ajah which is about 12 miles.
The 10 Tons lorry is the minimun load for delivery this days otherwise you will need your own pickup to buy anything less.
I also bought cement, (Burham) for 1,500 around the same area. 9 in block is going for between 100 - 150 naira depending on if it's manual or fabricated.
Hope this helps for now but I will post more prices and my brain will allow me later.

@Mankere You can not start building immediately, you must perfect you documents or else you will regret it. Depending how fast you move, this could take months or a year. Remember this is Naija we're talking about.

Properties / Re: Is Insurance A Waste Of Money? by ajileko: 2:35pm On Sep 22, 2008
@abujabooks We are talking about insurance in Nigeria here not in the advance nations like the UK or USA. It is a waste of resources in naija because the whole industry is fraud.
Properties / Re: Is Insurance A Waste Of Money? by ajileko: 8:25pm On Sep 18, 2008
Insurance does not work here in naija. Yes, it works as long as you don't have a claim. But once you file a claim, you'll be sorry you ever have one. Frustration will get the best of you. Investigation could take months if not years, come today, come tomorrow, you may even have to settle them just to get your claim if you are lucky.
Properties / Re: Is Insurance A Waste Of Money? by ajileko: 1:10pm On Sep 17, 2008
I think here in naija, you are better off without insurance and take your chances. What are the chances your car will get stolen ?
Properties / Re: Who Can Supply Solar Energy In Nigeria!? by ajileko: 11:15pm On Sep 16, 2008
That price probably doubled by now. The PV module alone will cost you about $1200.00, then the inverter, battery, cables, charge controller will cost about the same amount if not more. One draw back about solar energy is that it's not cheap. The more wattage/Amperage you need, the cost tend to triple to say the list. At the moment, it is not cost efficient.
Properties / Re: How Much And How Long Does it Take To Process C Of O Of A Land In Idimu by ajileko: 9:49pm On Sep 05, 2008
Give it some time. It could take up to six month. But make sure you follow up aggressively.
