Any one waiting for justice on the activities of Fulani Herdsmen may wait in vain because the following people who are in charge of the entire security apparatus of the country are all Fulani men as follows:
President: Muhammadu Buhari ( (Fulani Man))
Minister of defense: Mansur Mohammed Dan Ali (Fulani Man)
National security adviser: Mohammed Babagana Monguno (Fulani Man)
Inspector General of police: Ibrahim Idris (Fulani Man)
Chief of Army Staff: Tukur Buratai (Fulani Man)

Civil defense Commandant General: Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu (Fulani Man)
Director General of Customs: Colonel Hameed Alli (Fulani Man)
Comptroller General Nigeria Immigration Service: Muhammed Babandede (Fulani Man)
And to crown it all Attorney General of the federation who is supposed to dispense justice in case it escapes any of these agencies is Abubakar Malami also a Fulani man

Sports / National Unity Lessons Nigerians Can Learn From The Nigeria Vs Iceland Match by AKAKAK(m): 9:08pm On Jun 22, 2018
Nigeria can learn a few lessons from the just concluded Nigeria Vs Iceland match as below:

1 SCRAP FEDERAL CHARACTER AND GIVE POSITIONS BASED ON MERIT ALONE: The starting lineup did not in any way reflect any form of federal character the North only has a representative (Ahmed Musa) the South West too has two representatives or so most of the team (both the starting lineup and the bench) are mainly from South East and South South, yet we performed very well to get the much needed victory, worthy of note is that the only northerner in the lineup gave Nigeria the much needed goals that have restored hope for Nigeria to qualify to the next stage and even won the Man of the match. Lesson learnt if we put our best team forward irrespective of tribal affiliation we shall move forward and develop and if we continue to use quota system instead of merit we shall continue to lag behind the others.

2 I watched the match in a public space where there were Nigerians from all tribes but surprisingly no one bothered about tribal affiliations, everyone supported the Nigerian team and whenever anyone was about to score everyone shows excitement same when any player misses an opportunity to score everyone shouted in dismay when Ahmed Musa scored the whole place erupted in frenzy, nobody bothered about the tribe of who scored the important thing for everyone was for Nigeria to win the match. Lesson learnt let us learn to give our total support to whoever is leading and those in positions of authority irrespective of their tribal affiliations that way Nigeria can progress and be respected among comity of nations

3 PLAYDOWN ON RELIGION: Just as there was only one northerner in the starting lineup, there was only one Muslim in the starting lineup same Ahmed Musa as a matter of fact there are about just two Muslims in the entire 23 man team Nigeria has in Russia, but during the match Christians, Muslims, Traditional worshippers , atheists , naturalists etc all stood together in one voice to unite and pray for the victory of Nigeria as matter of fact when Musa scored the first goal I heard a lady shouting thank you Jesus repeatedly despite the fact that Ahmed Musa is not Christian, Lesson learnt , as a nation let’s play down on religious differences and come out together as one for the country to progress let us always join hands and pray along with whoever is leading us and in position of authority this is one of the things the developed have imbibed in their character that is making them to progress.

If Nigerians can unite at all times the way we do when the Nigerian team is playing a football match, we would by now have been ahead of the rest of the world.

Admin please let this be moved to front page as it promoted national unity which is much needed in Nigeria at this time.

Just yesterday on Nat Geo Wild, it was announced that a very dangerous snake had just been discovered. Scientists claim that the snake is an enhanced specie of the reptile family. According to Nat Geo Wild, the snake increases 0.5 cm in length every time it feeds and it feeds every 30 seconds or less. This particular snake cannot be killed or harmed by weapon it dies only when it bites itself. Surprising huh? Scientists claim that'sthe only way it can be killed but researches are still ongoing to discover new ways this snake can be killed. This is the most poisonousand deadliest snake ever recorded in the history of man. This snake can only be found in Nokia 3310 mobile phone under game option, Snake Xenzia. Politics / Nigeria Vs India A Call For Reflection by AKAKAK(m): 6:50pm On Aug 10, 2016
The biggest country in Africa that the United Kingdom colonized is Nigeria. The biggest country that the United Kingdom colonized in Asia is India (which then comprised the present Pakistan and Bangladesh). When the UK came into Nigeria and India, like all other countries they colonized, they brought along their technology, religion (Christianity), and culture: names, dressing, food, language, etc. Try as hard as the British did, India rejected the British religion, names, dressing, food, and even language, but they did not reject the British technology. Today, 80.5 per cent of Indians are Hindus; 13.4 per cent Muslims; 2.3 per cent Christians; 1.9 per cent Sikhs; 0.8 per cent Buddhists, etc. Hindi is the official language of the government of India, but English is used extensively in business and administration and has the status of a “subsidiary official language.” It is rare to find an Indian with an English name or dressed in suit. On the other hand, Nigeria embraced, to a large extent, the British religion, British culture – names, dressing, foods, and language – but rejected the British technology. The difference between the Nigerian and the Indian experiences is that while India is proud of its heritage, Nigeria takes little pride in its heritage, a situation that has affected the nationalism of Nigerians and our development as a nation. Before the advent of Christianity, the Arabs had brought Islam into Nigeria through the North. Islam also wiped away much of the culture of Northern Nigeria. Today, the North has only Sharia Courts but no Customary Courts. So from the North to the South of Nigeria, the Western World and the Eastern World have shaped our lives to be like theirs and we have lost much or all of our identity. Long after the British and Arabs left Nigeria, Nigeria has waxed strong in religion to the extent that Nigerians now set up religious branches of their home-grown churches in Europe, the Americas, Asia and other African countries. Just like the Whites brought the gospel to us, Nigerians now take the gospel back to the Whites. In Islam, we are also very vibrant to the extent that if there is a blasphemous comment against Islam in Denmark or the US, even if there is no violent reaction in Saudi Arabia – the Islamic headquarters of the world – there will be loss of lives and destruction of property in Nigeria. If the United Arab Emirates, a country with 75 per cent Muslims, is erecting the tallest building in the world and encouraging the world to come and invest in its country by providing a friendly environment, Boko Haram ensures that the economy of the North (and by extension that of Nigeria) is crippled with bombs and bullets unless every Nigerian converts to Boko Haram’s brand of Islam. We are indeed a very religious people. Meanwhile, while we are building the biggest churches and mosques, the Indians, South Africans, Chinese, Europeans and Americans have taken over our key markets: telecoms, satellite TV, multinationals, banking, oil and gas, automobile, aviation, shopping malls, hospitality, etc. Ironically, despite our exploits in religion, we are a people with little godliness, a people without scruples. It is rare to do business with a Nigerian pastor, deacon, knight, elder, Brother, Sister, imam, mullah, mallam, alhaji or alhaja without the person laying landmines of bribes and deception on your path. We call it PR, facilitation fee, processing fee, transport money, financial engineering, deal, or whatever. But if it does not change hands, nothing gets done. And when it is amassed, we say it is “God’s blessings.” Some people assume that sleaze is a problem of public functionaries, but the private sector seems to be worse than the public sector these days. One would have assumed that the more churches and mosques that spring up in every nook and cranny of Nigeria, the higher the morals in our society. But it is not so. The situation is that the more religious we get, the baser we become. Our land never knew the type of bloodshed experienced from religious extremists, political desperadoes, ritual killers, armed robbers, kidnappers, internet scammers, university cultists, and lynch mobs. Life has become so cheap and brutish that everyday seems to be a bonanza. We import the petroleum that we have in abundance, rice and beans that our land can produce in abundance, and even toothpicks that primary school children can produce with little or no effort. Yet we drive the best of cars and live in the best of edifices, visit the best places in the world for holidays and use the most expensive electronic and telecoms gadgets. It is now a sign of poverty for a Nigerian to ride a saloon car. Four-wheel drive is it! Even government officials, who were known to use only Peugeot cars as official cars as a sign of modesty, have upgraded to Toyota Prado, without any iota of shame, in a country where about 70 per cent live below poverty. Private jets have become as common as cars. A nation that imports toothpicks and pins flaunts wealth and wallows in ostentation at a time its children are trooping to Ghana, South Africa and the UK for university education and its sick people are running to India for treatment. India produces automobile and exports it to the world. India’s medical care is second to none, with even Americans and Europeans travelling to the country for medical treatment. India has joined the nuclear powers. India has launched a successful mission to the moon. Yet bicycles and tricycles are common sights in India. But in Nigeria, only the wretched of the earth ride bicycles. I have intentionally chosen to compare Nigeria with India rather than China, South Korea, Brazil, Malaysia, or Singapore, because of the similarities between India and Nigeria. But these countries were not as promising as Nigeria at the time of our independence. Some would say that our undoing is our size: the 2012 United Nations estimate puts Nigeria’s population at 166,000 million, while India has a population of 1.2 billion. Some would blame it on the multiplicity of ethnic groups: we have 250 ethnic groups; India has more than two thousand ethnic groups. Some would hang it on the diversity in religion: we have two major religions – Christianity and Islam; but India has many. Some would say it is because we are young as an independent nation: we have 52 years of independence; India has 65 years, while apartheid ended in South Africa only in 1994. I am a Christian, and nothing can change me from Christianity. But I think that our country is daily s inking into religiosity to the detriment of godliness. Our land is sick and needs healing. “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” is still a saying that is germane to our current situation. We need more godliness than religion; more work and less of hope; and more action and less of words. Let everyone tidy up his or her corner first and demand fervently that our leaders tidy their areas of governance. Our nation is degenerating at a fast pace and we need to save it.

I hope this can make front page so that many can benefit from the submissions.
Career / Wrong Philisophies We Must Avoid In Life by AKAKAK(m): 3:24pm On Aug 05, 2016
To be successful there are some wrong philosophies that must be avoided some of which are as follows:

1. *"WHATEVER WILL BE, WILL BE"*
```Whatever will be will not be; you have to make it be. You have a part to play in what will be in your life, so don't leave it to chance.```
2. *"HALF BREAD IS BETTER THAN NONE!"*
```Why settle for half bread when you can get a full bread or even own a bakery. This is a limiting belief that positions you to settle for less and it is a mediocre to philosophy.```

3. *"A FOOL AT FORTY IS A FOOL FOREVER"*
```A fool at any age can be a fool forever if he refuses to let go of his foolishness. It is never too late to become wise because the day you wake up and wise up is the day you CHANGE!```
4. *"ALL FINGERS ARE NOT EQUAL"*
```Yes! Physical fingers in your hands are not equal but that does not make any of them valueless. Lose one and you realise that they are all valuable. You are not even a finger, so why look down on yourself.```

5. *"LIFE BEGINS AT FORTY"*
```If you are below forty and believe this, I feel so sorry for you because it means you are not yet alive.```
6. *"WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN"*
```Is your age coming down? Is your wisdom and knowledge coming down? Is the price of goods coming down? Think my friend!```

7. *"HE WHO LAUGH LAST, LAUGHS BEST!"*
```Why laugh last when you can laugh always and why laugh best when laughter is not a competition. When we programmed ourselves with these strange philosophies, they limit and restrict us.```
```Change the way you think and talk..
You will change your world.
You have the opportunity to RECREATE YOUR WORLD```

Sports / Cristiano Ronaldo Tops List Of World's Most Charitable Sports Stars by AKAKAK(m): 5:16pm On Aug 04, 2016
Real Madrid star beats Serena Williams, Neymar, LeBron James and Dan Carter to title of world's most charitable sports star

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the world's most charitable sports star, having donated millions of pounds of his fortune to worthy causes.
The 30-year-old Portuguese star was named by Dosomething.org as the most charitable sportsperson, topping the Athletes Gone Good list of 20 stars.

WWE superstar John Cena came second, Serena Williams was third, while Brazil's football captain, Neymar, was fifth in the list.
"(Ronaldo) raised money for various causes including donating more than $83,000 to a 10-year-old fan in need of brain surgery and giving more than $165,000 to fund a cancer centre in Portugal that treated his mother," Dosomething.org said.

"Ronaldo has also used his fame as a global spokesperson for a variety of causes including childhood hunger, obesity and biodiversity."
The Real Madrid striker earns an estimated £230,000 a week salary, excluding endorsements and other deals.
In May, Ronaldo reportedly donated £5 million to help the aid effort in Nepal following the devastating earthquake.

The Portuguese star has a history of being charitable. In 2004, he flew to the aid of Indonesian tsunami victims after he saw footage of a young man wearing a Portugal shirt with his name on the back.
"My father always taught me that when you help other people, then God will give you double," Ronaldo said in 2013. "And that's what has really happened to me. When I have helped other people who are in need, God has helped me more.”

At last, it is with excitement, capital joy amidst jubilation and celebration of over 20 years struggle of Nigerian Polytechnic students and graduates including the staff unions and heads of Polytechnic in Nigeria.
I am pleased to announce to the public that the COUNCIL OF ESTABLISHMENT which comprises of all the head of service of the 36 States of the Federation and the head of service of the Federation approved the removal of this long overdue dichotomy which hinder the career progression of HND holders in civil service in her meeting held in Minna Niger state capital during the week after an exhaustive deliberation, pro and anti deposition which ended with tie vote of 16 against 16 while the head of service of the Federation voted in support as presiding officer after the tie, to earn the Polytechnic sector the victory.
Making the vote 17 pro against 16 anti. Henceforth, This resolution automatically lift embargo on HND holder career progression in civil service as the holder can now rise beyond Deputy Director in civil service as well enjoy all sort of benefits/promotion to the topmost rank due to BSc holders in civil service.
It is on record that this same Council was the sole obstacle for this struggle since year 2005 when President Olusegun Obasanjo pronounced the removal of this dichotomy, the Council called the then president statement a mere pronouncement with out documentation and refused it adoption nor implementation.
It will be recalled that the last meeting of the council which was held at Ilorin kwara state capital witness heavy presence of Nigeria Polytechnic students which I personally led as the National Senate President of NAPS to the council in protest for the need for the council to reconsider her position on the said matter.
A position paper was submitted after the protest as demanded by the then head of service of Federation who was the chairman of the Council, unfortunately, the matter was completely discussed nor concluded at Ilorin until now in her next meeting in Niger state.
The Council often meets every 3 years, On behalf of the entire West Africa Polytechnic students and most especially the Nigeria Polytechnic students, I express sincere gratitude to the head of service of states and that of the Federation who stood for us and with us, the Federal Ministry of Education, the National Board for Technical Education NTBE, Council of Head of Polytechnic and Colleges of Technology COHEADS, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic ASUP, past and present leadership of National Association Of Polytechnic Students NAPS and by extension the Nigerians Union of journalist for their support all through the struggle.
We look forward for immediate implementation by all state of the Federation, Federal government agencies and departments while I call on all Polytechnic student to join us as we Commence appreciation/celebration.

Career / WHAT IF IT WORKS by AKAKAK(m): 12:41am On Jul 23, 2016
*WHAT IF IT WORKS?*

```The queue to the ATM machine was something else because we all wanted to withdraw money. Although there was another machine beside it, nobody moved towards the second machine. We had about 25 people on one single queue.
When my sis & I got there, I also went to queue but she asked one of the customers what was wrong with the other machine. 'I don't know', he said, '... but somebody said there is no money in it'.
After listening to that 'somebody' tale, my sis told me to move straight to the machine everyone neglected and inserted my card. Lo and behold, the same machine 'somebody' said would not work, dispensed the sum of N25,000.
As we were walking away like
a magician, others who saw some cash I had withdrawn
broke away from the initial queue and rushed to that machine.
Why did I tell you this experience?
1. People don't get something they need from somewhere because they refused to try.
2. People refused to try because 'somebody' somewhere said it won't work.
3 The somebody somewhere may be an old authority who doesn't believe in evolution.
4. People won't take steps to do what others don't do because of the 'what if it doesn't work?' question.
5. People ask this question because they don't want to take risks.
6. Those who don't take the risk of checking if the other machine is working will remain on the long queue and may not even get what they need eventually. Meaning achieving in 2hrs what they could have achieved in 2min.
Sports / Cristiano Ronaldo Is Opening A Five-star Hotel (pestana CR7) by AKAKAK(m): 11:04am On Jul 21, 2016
Soccer superstar and handsome ol’ chap Cristiano Ronaldo is best known for being very good at soccer and also taking his shirt off in a public setting at every chance he gets, not that you’re complaining. With that being said, he’s about to become a player in a different game: The hospitality game.
Fresh off victories in both the Champions League and Euro 2016, Ronaldo is getting ready to kick off a doozy of an offseason. His Pestana CR7 Hotel is ready for its grand opening this Friday in his native Funchal, Portugal. From the looks of things, it’s not a secret why the place has a five-star rating. It looks pretty spectacular inside & out.
If you’d like to stay in Ronaldo’s digs but have no plans to travel to Portugal anytime soon, there’s still some good news. CR7 plans to open similar hotels in New York and Madrid next year.
Career / After Work, Is What Determines Your Future! by AKAKAK(m): 10:18am On Jul 21, 2016
You finish work at 6 pm, go to bed at 12 midnight.
Within these six hours, how do you spend them?
Watching TV?
In fact, the activities you do between 6 am and 12 midnight,
the importance of it is beyond your imagination.
Too many people believe that,
your career is determined by the 8 hours of hard work and effort you put at work,
and your future and career progression depend on the boss and the company.
But the reality is that for most people, this thing, you are on your own…..
Read on…
“Cultivation”, it’s forever dependent by yourself.
If you found yourself not progressing in life,
you cannot blame and put the responsibility on your company for not grooming you.
1. What you do every night is important
My major in college was marketing, but I expect to become a designer.
So I practiced day and night,
picking up some freelance work to improve my design skills.
It took me a long time.
When I became a boss, I no longer need to involve myself in design work,
So I went back to the Marketing field.
Every day, when my children are sleeping,
I began learning to gain more knowledge, this again took me a long time,
But I begin to realise my returns.
If I rely on my working hours to gain skills,
then I will never have become a creative director and a product manager,
or like today, teaching MBA students on Marketing.
What I rely on, is myself giving myself “lessons”.
And the most successful people I knew, walked the same path as I am.
I have a friend who is a History graduate,
but he is interested in technical sales,
In the day, he does telemarketing, at night he learns how to code,
Finally, he became the vice president of sales in a startup company.
Now, he’s a CTO.
I have another friend, he received a degree in political science.
But he’s very interested in entrepreneurship.
he learnt a lot of knowledge on how to start up a company,
eventually, he founded a company and sold it,
Now he has reaped the rewards.
For them, what they do between 6 pm till 12 midnight,
is what determined their future.
Clearly, we need to balance life and work.
If you have a wife and children, every night, you have to stay with them.
Even if you are single, you also need a reasonable allocation of time to go to the gym, to meet with friends, or be alone to meditate and so on.
Of course, watching movies, playing games is good.
But there are things you do not need to do.
For example, watching the new season of a Netflix drama,
14 hours per week watching television (This is the average amount of time watching television).
The time spent playing the game Candy Crush.
Or spending time stalking your high school alumni on Facebook,
it does not seem to be good.
So what should you do?
2. Read more, anything will do!
My college mentor was born in Alabama,
A poor African family.
He was admitted to West Point Military Academy, and he became the first person in the family to go college.
Before going to Havard for his MBA, he’s a trained officer.
When I met him, he has already developed his career in the city of Colorado Springs.
I asked him, what’s his biggest success?
He replied, because he kept the habit of reading,
and he never stopped.
He believed that if you want to get what you want in life,
knowledge is the key.
He often asked his interviewees what book are they reading now,
the excellent ones can give an answer immediately.
Reading can give you a good headstart,
this is often what your peers cannot obtain.
Compared to others,
you are more likely to know other industries strategies and tactics,
and that may be helpful to your company.
You can transfer your knowledge within the organization,
create new possibilities for your company.
Moreover, your conversation topics will become more interesting.
Anthony Robbins said:
“If you spend one hour a day to learn about a topic,
a year later, in this regard,
the knowledge you gain will be more than 99.999% of the world’s people.”
Even if you have 30 minutes every night,
each week you can easily read a book.
You may not be an expert, but I promise,
you’ll know more than what your peers know.
3. Do some projects
You can apply the knowledge learnt to real work scenario,
this is only an ideal state.
If your company did not give you this opportunity,
create opportunities for yourself.
You can do some volunteer projects. They can bring you fame.
Working with a team,
you’ll understand how things work.
In the practical application of the industry,
and how it ultimately affect actual customers.
You’ll learn how to perform the task and meet deadlines,
and get feedbacks on what you are doing,
and benefit from it.
When you are not strong enough, these experience may not have any value to you.
But you are still a novice.
these experiences are far more valuable than the miserable pay you are getting.
If you can really convince others of your pockets of fruits of labour,
Then go try it. But do not let these private jobs affect your work.
4. Actively build your connections
In your career path,
a strong network of connections will make everything accelerate.
If you have not set up your own personal connections,
you’ll need to divide a portion of your time to do this.
A strong network of relationships, can enable you:
contact smart friends, and learn their opinions
get information and knowledge that are difficult to obtain
help the company look for more potential partners
or income generating opportunities
Go get to know your work colleague or boss…..
If you are an entrepreneur,
your network connections will be your early customers,
your staffs are a source of capital
rather than go home, or going to a bar,
you should find some inner circles.
There are many small groups which are highly relevant to your career.
You should try to integrate into these circles.
Every week, you can drink coffee together with new friends,
go drinking or have breakfast.
You can also look into everyone’s career developments on LinkedIn.
And establish a network with mentors in those professional industries.
They may be your next job employer, who knows?
Your connections will be your most powerful asset in the workplace.
Since you have time to watch “The Voice of China”,
you have time to build a social network.
5. The CHANGE of your LIFE starts TONIGHT
6 pm to 12 am, you go home, though physically and mentally tired,
you are free to do anything and do not have to take orders from others.
During this time,
you can switch off like switching off your computer at your workplace, switch off your brain.
But you can also do something,
make you smarter, stronger, have a wider network of people.
From the start tonight, take an hour a day to do these things,
I guarantee that after a year,
your career, and life will change.
LikeAfter work, is what determines your future! Spend one hour per day doing these 5 things and your life will change forever!Comment
Foreign Affairs / Donald Trump Attacks Buhari, Other Africans Leaders by AKAKAK(m): 12:49pm On Jul 20, 2016
Donald Trump has harshly criticised African leaders for turning own people into slaves and promoting corruption – “Africa should be recolonized because Africans are still under slavery.” Republican presidential candidate in the United States presidential election of 2016 Donald Trump is at it again, as he has lashed out at African heads of state. Mr Trump was adressing reporters in Nebraska last week, where he condemned African leaders for having insatiable desire for power and wealth, while their people are living like slaves. Responding to a question a from South African journalist on African countries considering mass withdrawal from the International Criminal Court (ICC) Trump said:
It is shameful for African leaders to seek exit from ICC. In my view, these leaders want to have all the freedom to oppress their poor people without anyone asking them a question. I think there is no shortcut to maturity and in my view, Africa should be recolonized because Africans are still under slavery. Look at how those African leaders change constitutions in their favour so that they can be life presidents. They are all greedy and do not care about the common people. When I saw them gang up against ICC yet they can’t even find an amicable solution for the ongoing quandary in Burundi, I thought to myself these people lack discipline and humane heart.
They can’t lead by example. The only thing they are interested in is accumulating wealth from poor tax payers.”
Sports / Neymar Backs Ronaldo To Win Ballon D,or by AKAKAK(m): 7:03pm On Jul 18, 2016
Barcelona and Real Madrid players are not usually fond of praising each other, but in the case of Cristiano Ronaldo, perhaps an exception can be made.
Neymar, Barcelona’s princely jewel and the heir in waiting to Lionel Messi, says his Madrid rival Ronaldo is the clear leader in the race to win the 2016 Ballon d’Or.
Winning titles plays a big role in the race for the Ballon d'Or," Neymar told Lance, the Brazilian website. "Ronaldo won the Champions League and now Euro 2016 as well. So I reckon he is in a good position.
Neymar finished third in the 2015 Ballon d’Or voting behind Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, 29, his Barcelona team mate.
But Ronaldo struck the winning penalty in the UEFA Champions League final and then captained Portugal to Euro 2016 glory in France, beating the host nation in the final.
“Ronaldo is a great player. I have no qualms in saying that," Neymar, 24, added.
Messi took the Ballon d’Or, the award for the world’s best male footballer, back from Ronaldo in February, following two years in which the 31-year-old had won the prize.
Career / Women Are Taking Over The World by AKAKAK(m): 6:12pm On Jul 18, 2016
The control of WORLD POWER is being handed over to women, amazing times. Angela Merkel the de factor leader of the EU, Teresa Mary May now prime minister of the UK, Hillary Clinton may become the next American president. No more business as usual in the kitchen and in the bedroom. Hey babes, conquer your world, whatever it is you're into, do it so well that you cannot but be recognized because of your excellence, professionalism and profitability. No more....what did she have? 'A girl' and they frown because they didn't give birth to a boy. I'm not being feminist, just stating the obvious. African guys, if you have an ambitious wife, don't stop her, instead encourage her, that wouldn't reduce you in any way. I still believe in "wives, submit to your husbands". Staying on top of her game career wise, financially or politically won't stop her from loving and respecting her man.
Politics / 10 Most Damning Revelations From The Latest Presidential Arms Audit Report by AKAKAK(m): 5:52pm On Jul 18, 2016
An investigative panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to audit procurement of arms by and for the Nigerian military between 2007 until he assumed office in 2015 submitted another interim report on Thursday.
The Committee on Audit of Defence Equipment Procurement in the Nigerian Armed Forces completed the first of its piecemeal reports in November 2015 in which a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, was indicted for allegedly mismanaging over N13 billion budgeted for procurement of arms.
Mr. Buhari ordered immediate arrest of Mr. Dasuki as recommended by the 13-member committee and he had since remained in detention amid disputes about how he should be prosecuted.
In February 2016, the committee, which consists of individuals pooled from mainly military or security background, visited military facilities across the country to carry out a physical examination of military weaponry and equipment and verify if new deliveries were taken, how they were purchased and their quality.
The panel then found over a dozen former military chiefs culpable in fraudulent arms deal within the period under review.
A former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, and Adesola Amosu, a former Chief of Air Staff, were subsequently indicted. They are facing trial in various high courts.
The report submitted to President Buhari on Thursday is third in the series, and it uncovered how ex-political appointees, private individuals and former military chiefs, including two erstwhile Chiefs of Army Staff, were suspected culpable in alleged fraudulent diversion of funds meant for arms procurement.
Azubuike Ihejirika and Kenneth Minimah, who both served under President Goodluck Jonathan, were recommended for further investigation by the committee.
Mr. Buhari was, however, criticised for allegedly doctoring the outcome of the latest report.
Critics said the panel indicted a close ally of Mr. Buhari and the current Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, but that the administration compelled the committee to have his name removed before publishing the report.
The government denied the allegations.
As supporters and opponents argued over the impact the alleged protection of Mr. Dambazau would have on Buhari government’s much-avowed zero-tolerance for corruption, PREMIUM TIMES looked at the 10 biggest revelations from the latest arms panel findings.
1) Receiving big to deliver little:
The committee, led by Jon Ode, a retired Air Vice Marshal, found that, “3 contracts with a total value of N5,940,000,000.00 were awarded to DYI Global Services Ltd and Doiyatec Comms Nig Ltd (owned by the same individuals) for the procurement of military hardware including 20 units of K-38 Twin Hull Boats and 6 units of 4 x 4 Ambulances fitted with radios.
“The Committee found that the 2 companies collected N5,103,500,000.00 representing 86% of the total value of the 3 contracts worth N5,940,000,000.00, but only performed to the tune of N2,992,183,705.31.”
2) Inconclusive delivery:
In another instance, 2 contracts were awarded to Baram International Nigeria Limited, amounting to N420,726,799.20 for the procurement of 53 Armoured Vehicles Spare Parts at the cost of N169,916,849.77 and that of Ballistic Vests, Night Vision Binoculars and 3 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles at the cost of N250,809,949.50. Sadly, the contract worth N169,916,849.77 with 90 days completion time is yet to be completed 5 years after.
3) ‘International embarrassment’:
Similarly, between 29 April 2005 and 19 October 2010, the MOD (Ministry of Defence) awarded 2 contracts to Progress Limited for the supply of 42 units of BTR-3U Armoured Personnel Carriers and spare parts for the Nigerian Army.
However, neither the MOD nor the NA could provide the contract agreements to ascertain the cost of the APCs. Although 26 of the APCs were delivered in 2007 and immediately deployed for Peace Keeping Operations in Sudan, the APCs scandalously broke down on induction.
The Committee observed that the APCs did not meet the operational requirement for the Army, caused Nigeria international embarrassment and deprived her appropriate reimbursement from the United Nations.
4) Circumventing due process:
With respect to contracts awarded directly by the Nigerian Army, the Committee found that many of the contracts were characterised by lack of due process, breach of extant procurement regulations and tainted by corrupt practices.
In this regard, a review of the procurement carried out by Chok Ventures Ltd and Integrated Equipment Services Ltd established that between March 2011 and December 2013, the two companies exclusively procured various types of Toyota and Mitsubishi vehicles worth over N3,000,000,000.00 for the Nigerian Army without any competitive bidding.
Though the Committee found no credible evidence of delivery of the vehicles, the vendors were fully paid based on job completion certificate authenticated by the then Chief of Logistics.
Also, analyses of the various banks accounts of the two companies showed transfers to individuals related to the then Chief of Army Staff.
5) A brave colonel paid the ultimate price for the greed of his superiors:
Furthermore, the post- delivery Technical Inspection Reports revealed that the APCs were unsuitable for the North East operation. However, sequel to the deployment of the APCs in the North East, one was destroyed by RPG fire, killing a Colonel inside.
As at 13 May 2016, only one of the 10 Igirigi APCs deployed to the North East was serviceable.
6) Double jeopardy for troops attached to Operation Boyona:
It was also found out that following a request by the ONSA on 13 May 2013, the Government released N1,340,000,000.00 for OPERATION BOYONA, aimed at dislodging terrorist camps along the borders with Cameroun, Chad and Niger. In August 2013, ONSA requested and got approval for additional N2,000,000,000.00. However, DHQ (Defence Headquarters) and the Services confirmed non-receipt of any additional funds for Operation BOYONA.
7) Fictitious firms as conduit for fraudulent proceeds:
Similarly, in January 2015, the then Honourable Minister of State Foreign Affairs (HMSFA II) requested N7,000,000,000.00 to urgently fund the operation of the Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in the Lake Chad Basin which was approved and released to ONSA.
However, the Committee could not ascertain the utilization of the funds from ONSA, DHQ and the Services. The returns made by ONSA to the Committee showed that about N1,500,000,000.00 was withdrawn in cash while several disbursements were made to some companies that appeared not to have any relationship with the MNJTF or any operations against Boko Haram.
cool How dollars became orphaned:
The Committee observed that contracts awarded to SEI and its two associated companies, APC Axial Ltd and HK-Sawki Nig Ltd, fell short of established norms. Between May 3, 2014 and March 2015, the ONSA mandated CBN to release various sums totalling $386,954,000.00 to SEI and the two associated companies for ‘procurement of technical equipment’, without tying the money to particular items of procurement.
Thus, the allotment of the fund was left at the discretion of the vendor without input or consultation with ONSA or the Nigerian Army.
9) When NIMASA sub places with the CBN:
The Committee also noted that between September 3, 2014 and 30 April 30, 2015, NIMASA funded accounts of the Joint Task Force Operation Pulo Shield with various sums totalling N8,542,586,798.58 purportedly to enhance operations of the Joint Task Force in the Niger Delta.
Analyses of the accounts of the Joint Task Force showed that transfers totalling N6,277,698,885.13 were made from the account. The then JTF Commander could not justify these transfers but confirmed that the sums were changed into dollars and handed over to a private citizen. Additionally, he could not account for the balance of N2,264,887,914.45
10) Looting without limit:
Finally, going by the last flag raised by the committee, it appeared there was no limit the suspected looters couldn’t go, as even accrued tax revenues were not remitted to the appropriate authorities.
The Committee observed breaches of the laws and regulations on payments of With-holding Tax (WHT) and Value Added Tax (VAT). The unremitted WHT from 2007 to 2015 amounted to about N862,962,065.99, $2,093,710.06 and €2,700.00 respectively.
However, through the intervention of the Committee, some companies remitted N109,843,495.40 to FIRS. The Committee is of the opinion that the Federal Inland Revenue Services should liaise with the Nigerian Army to recover all outstanding payments of WHT.
Politics / 20 Things You Do Not Know About Nigeria. by AKAKAK(m): 3:00pm On Jul 18, 2016
You may already know that Nigeria is the largest black nation in the world and the most populous nation in Africa.
You may already know that Nigeria has great dependency on crude oil, plus all the other opinions of David Cameron. Here are 20 unpopular facts about Nigeria.
1. Are you aware that all over the world Nigerians are setting the pace and becoming the standard by which others measure
themselves? Do you know??
2. In the US, Nigerians are the most educated immigrant community. Type it into Google
and you'll see it. Not one of the most educated, the most educated.
3. 60% of Nigerians in the US have college degrees. This is far above the American national average of 30%.
4. Nigerians in US are one of the highest earners, typically earning 25% more than the median US income of $53k.
5. In Ivy League schools in Europe and America, Nigerians routinely outperform their peers from other nations.
6. A Nigerian family, The Imafidon family, have officially been named the smartest family in the UK.
7. The designer of the famous car, Chevrolet Volt, Jelani Aliyu, is a super talented Nigerian from Sokoto State.
8. The World's fastest supercomputer was designed by a world renowned inventor and
scientist, Philip Emeagwali, a full-blown Nigerian whose patency was awarded in 2015. This means Nigeria has the patency to
the world's fastest computer: a Black Nigerian.
9. The wealthiest Black man and woman on earth are Nigerians, Aliko Dangote and Mrs.
Folorunsho Alakija. Both have no trace of criminal record of any kind.
10. South Africa couldn't have ended apartheid & achieved Black rule if not for the leadership role Nigeria played.
11. Of the 3 South African Presidents who ruled after apartheid, two of them once lived
in Nigeria under asylum. Both Nelson Mandela (60s) and Thabo Mbeki (70s) lived in Nigeria before becoming President of South
Africa. We gave financial support, human support, boycotted an Olympics and our politicians, musicians and activists
campaigned relentlessly.
12. Nigeria spent over $3 Billion and lost hundreds of soldiers to end the wars in both Liberia and Sierra Leone which the world
ignored because they have no oil.
13. When there was a coup in São Tomé and Príncipe in 2003, Nigeria restored the elected President back to power.
14. Before there were street lights in European cities, ancient Benin kingdom had street lights fueled by palm oil.
15. 500 years ago, Benin casted metal alloys to create magnificent art including the world famous Queen Ida Mask.
16. Amina was a warrior queen who ruled Zaria Emirate in Kaduna state, Northwestern
Nigeria 400 years ago in 1610. Google and see what she means to Africa.
17. We gave monetary gifts to Ireland during our oil boom and built a statue for France
free of charge. We are not poor blacks. Nigeria is rich and don't be lied to.
18. The first television station in Africa was NTA Ibadan (1960) long before Ireland has their RTE station.
=========
Wherever you look in this great country, Nigeria, heroes abound both now and in our
recent and ancient past.
If all you do is listen to mainstream Western media, you'll not get the full picture of your Nigerian heritage.
Do not listen to any leader who says Nigerians are criminals, no matter who he is, or his height and position. We're not a nation of scammers, drugs &
corruption, but a people with a verifiable track
record of greatness.
==========
Here is what CNN, BBC, Aljezeera and western media will not tell you about Nigerians:
19. On the 7th May, 2016 at Howard University in Washington D.C history was made. Out of 96 graduating Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, 43 of them were
Nigerians and out of 27 awards given, 16 went to Nigerians.
They will only tell you how Nigerians are scammers and cheats, how Nigerians are into
drugs overseas et al.
If you don't blow your trumpet, no one will blow it for you. VIVA NAIJA!!!
20. There are over 180,000,000 Nigerians world over and only less than 250,000 of this
figure have traceable criminal records. This is about 0.14% of our entire national population
in the last 20 years: nothing close to 1%.
Shame on global media. Listen Nigeria, dont let anybody woo you into believing that you are a criminal just because you are a Nigerian. Nigerians are NOT
criminals. You are NOT a criminal. You are topnotch; second to none around the world.
Be proud of Nigeria wherever you go. Take out your Passport with pride. Be proud of our
GREEN HERITAGE. Be enthusiastic of our FUTURE GREATNESS #CelebrateYourNi
gerianness !
NIGERIA: GREAT NATION, GOOD PEOPLE!!!!
If you truly believe, kindly add anything else
that you remember about Nigerians and the
greatness of Nigeria
