there is cash in it and i have contacted my financial institution they said i should activate the card to do online transaction which i did there in the bank, want to try it now or submit paper route tomorrow. no time
try and do balance inquiry on an ATM or if possible withdraw a little amount on it.
Invalid number most times is when a card is not activated.
you are meant to have 16 digits on the face of the card, might also require the last 3 digits at the back of the card and your address must be correct.
try and revert.

was also refused on Monday am done with refiring d same reason again purpose of visit refused 4times now want to request for my file to know d reason for dis 4 refusal b4 submitting any app again and thinking of chilling atleast 2yrs to apply with my husband and by then a child for vacation.since we have travel history but am not giving up just giving dem time and d most important tin request for my file to no d main reason for dis frequent refusal
Hi seunalasho; Purpose of visit:What course are you going for and is it undergrad, diploma, masters?
What is your highest level of education?
what is your present occupation? Have you changed the course you plan to go for the 4 different times you applied?
If you are working, are you taking study leave? How is your SOP like?
These are some of the reasons that can contribute to being refused on purpose of visit.
let's discuss.

@Ipain: From everyone's reaction, you can see you are on the wrong thread. What we do here is assist each other with legitimate info on how to study in Canada. If you say your guy in Canada wants to sponsor you to study in Canada, then, there is hope but with getting you visa, work, etc, you will be on a longgggggggggggggg thing.Try and also google to see the various ways of entering Canada, then, you will understand why some people believe education is more than finishing from school but learning from the real world/life (smile).
all the best.

I will be going to BC by Gods grace. Did my medicals on monday
hmmm,BC, it is well o, learnt things are on the expensive side around that axis though good weather compensates especially vancouver.
How is their application for PR for int'l students like?I think you can only apply after you start working or so.

Its always best to invite them once u settle down. They can never refuse unless u dnt ve sufficient funds shown. I wrote in my SOP that my daughter will visit with her nanny and mum when am on break. If I want, my daughter and her nanny can stay back and my mum will leave. Everything depends on how d 1st semester goes. Am not jeopardizing my future cos of my daughter that will be well taken care of in naija. If I go with her, it will mean leaving her in d care of people I don't know and I will practically be in d library wit less attention to her
i agree completely with you, i had to try going with them at first due to pressure from my better half (grin) and after it was denied, she then understood why i asked i go alone first. Its all gud tho, they will come later definitely.Which province you in?I should be coming last week in December tho i have not decided on the school yet but i know by month end, will have a handle on which-Alberta or Manitoba

I guess I wasted my time calling to explain things yesterday. Its best u do what u want and wait for d outcome. If its works, we learn from it, if it doesn't, we will also learn from. And NO u can't apply with ur nanny cos I tried that option and was given a red card. Godd luck
sorry Mesh, didn't know you had spoken with her in details already. You know how we humans are, wanna hope against hope for things to work in our favour.I also applied for fall with my wife and son but was refused so I had to apply alone and got it.The plan is my family will join me once i settle in, will apply for them again and by then, my account should also be buoyant than before.Best advice, do it alone!

Hi Mesh2003 or anybody that can be of help

quick question....is your baby with you now? if yes, did you have to send her PP to the embassy for anything obviously not a visa, or will they just stamp her in at POE considering she will likely be staying more than 6months with you. i Know as an american citizen she can go into canada freely but probably for a stipulated period of time...if I am wrong please i stand to be corrected. So how do you manage that if she will be there longer than stipulated period? Isnt it just best to apply with my 2 boys only...Husband not included in my application as he is standing in as my sponsor. Just a little confused....
9jabiggurl:Since your boys are minor and US citizens, they can stay as long as your visa validity is.I tried getting an answer online directly for this a while back but i could only piece this together from different comments and feedback online.
On applying for your boys, i guess you mean after you have settled down?If you want to apply with them from start, you have to convince the VO that you have finances to take care of them since you will be busy studying.Honestly, aside the finances, convincing VO that your studies won't suffer with your kids with you and no one to take care of them will be a big deal.I have a lady friend who left in September for her program and she was telling me she missed her kids but was glad she didn't come with them, studies alone is very demanding.
my advice, go alone, settle down and if you are on top of your studies and can combine this with time for the kids, cool. Also, make available money for child care for the period of your program.

redribs:
He should be able to change schools after he gets to Canada but not without notifying CIC. The study permit, is a document that will be issued at POE, and it will most likely carry the details of the school he used to apply for his visa. Now if he takes that document (the study permit) that way to the other/preferred school and that school sees another school's details, then there's a conflict and that can raise a flag.

You should understand that study permit applications are assessed in accordance with the details you submitted in your application. The cost of living and tuition for both schools will definitely not be the same so the permit will have to go back to CIC for re-consideration and applicable adjustment, which MIGHT take a fresh "processing" time again (not sure tho)...

But conversely sha, he can also take the first semester in red river and after that, use his transcript to apply to Lambton again. If it's not the same course or a related course, then I guess this is really not an option.
Hmm, kindly note that on the platform used to process your study visa, there is a window for you to change DLI. My sincere thoughts are that if you can change your institution on the CIC application before getting to Canada, it should take care of that problem of going to the initial institution used to process the TRV.

Hello everyone
I'm so confused right now huh huh . Last week I submitted my application for Spring admission to Northeastern University but everything seems not to be working out fine because I have 3 (three) transcripts and only two has been sent to WES. The last one will be sent out next week from Babcock University through FedEx.
Do you guys still think I still have a chance to be considered for admission. (You know the whole evaluation period and all.)
My other issue is that I did not write a standardised test because I have a PgDip from a UK university and I wrote IELTS in 2011 and the GRE is being waived because of the course I'm applying for (MS Health Informatics). I sent a mail to the school regarding this but no response over 3 days now.
Lastly, even if get the I-20, I only applied to one university(I don't believe in applying to several schools). What if the VO reads meaning into it.
check out the deadline for admission in your school as long as it gets to them before it closes, you should be good.
Also, check the admission requirements, it will solve the question you asking.
Lastly, you cannot determine what the VO's state of mind is.
You believed the school you saw satisfied your requirements, hence, you stuck with the school.
You just have to convince the VO if she/he asks you why only 1 school, don't put yourself in knots jare, you are still ok.

Thank you for your reply. Like i said in my post, i have visited the bank - twice, but the guys seem clueless. For now, maybe i'll try to contact Interswitch, i'm not sure how but i'll have to try. Frankly, this waiting game is painful - i pray i laugh at the end of all this
i think you can also call their contact center on the internet to verify that the card is activated.
Better still, try and do a test debit on it just to be sure it's ok.
also, at the back of your card, there should be a number to contact for any enquiries.
i hope this helps a bit.

A spouse of student on study visa is eligible to apply for a spousal open work permit visa.

It can be done at the same time but you need to be careful.

There was proof of adequate fund. Also, you have to be careful selecting ur sponsor
What i learnt a while back was that the student must enter canada first before the spouse should applies.

when yous ay careful, can you kindly expantiate?

Heard tickets are expensive in Dec....maybe you should consider early Dec and book on time. considering Lufthansa or KLM
Air france is having a promo, you can buy your ticket now, make it a return cos 1 way is even more expensive.

i checked earlier to toronto and it was around $1600+, you can then check other airlines if you will get cheaper.

try emirates, egypt air, ethiopian also, and check out worldtraveland, got a good deal for a friend to the UK, you can check their site also to see if they have any good deal.

all the best!

Thanks.. please what about the one for admissions, any ideas?
Like they say, google is your friend.
I didn't write any for admissions though.
I guess you just have to let the school know why you want to come for the program.
Let them see your passion.

Realone1, ManTiger, siga, akanni, amefrica, eddy20, meritdee

Please u guys should help me.

This is my em ail..:-.

adedapoabolaji650@gmail.com
Pally, below was the guideline given by the pros way back when i wrote mine. Follow these steps and you should be ok.
1. introduction of yourself and course of study in Canada
2. briefly explain your previous education and its relevance to your intended course of study
3. briefly explain any gaps from your last education to date or relevant work experiences acquired
4. briefly explain the impact of your course on your future career and your home country(e.g NIGERIA)
5. emphasis on leaving Canada after ur studies and what you intend to do on return(reasons should correlate with study leave and employment letter, if u submitted any)
the SOP should not be more than two pages and less story telling, go straight to the point and avoid reminding the VO constantly that you are not going to abscond

N.B You can also check online.
