akanni: Hayek- Yes, state all the kids going with her. They will see from their passport the nationality they claim.Family form should include all your immediate family members and it is important you are sincere. If you claim they are your kids, how would you prove to them that you don't plan to come with them really, you get? US citizens DO NOT NEED A VISA to enter Canada. At the border, it will be determined how long they can stay for, and being minor, it will be for the duration of the prog-in my opinion.I checked online on this particular issue but the only fact i can ascertain is for US citizens that are not minors; they will follow the path @fablady mentioned,i.e visit permit not longer than 6 months max (though a school of thought says less than 6 months). |

hayek: Hello dear forumites: I need your advise regarding my family visa. My wife visiting visa had been declined 3 times but recently applied for spousal work permit since I am doing a graduate study here. She had done medical as she had been called for one with one of my kids who need a visa as the other two kids dont need a visa to enter Canada. But CDHC sent an email asking that my wife completed a family form. My question is do I state there that the other kids would be following her? Of course they would be following her. And I am wondering why they are sending this family form at this stage. Ihope that other more experienced members can be helpful. HAyek- Yes, state all the kids going with her. They will see from their passport the nationality they claim.Family form should include all your immediate family members and it is important you are sincere. If you claim they are your kids, how would you prove to them that you don't plan to come with them really, you get? |

checkyink: Bro, I would suggest she waits till she gets an unconditional letter before she extends her study permit. Once she submits her official transcripts, she will be issued one. She has to attach the unconditional to the initial conditional one to apply for study permit extension. Thanks bro, finally, if the school says they require original certificate, what do they mean? Is it a certified true copy, notarized, or just the original that is with her? |

WoodcrestMayor: Dear Applicant
CIC has informed WES that they cannot verify your ECA report. This is due to the incorrect application choice as the WES FSWP customized application was not selected.
In order for Citizenship and Immigration Canada to process your immigration application, they will need to verify your ECA report using WES’s online service. To allow CIC access to your ECA report, you will need to order a duplicate report at https://www.wes.org/ca/apply
Best regards,
WES Customer Service
I got that from WES last week and I've since ordered a duplicate copy. Does dis mean CIC is working on my application and what stage are they cos i've not received any correspondence from dem since I sent in my application last year december...Cc solomonwis i believe they are verifying your docs and if all is ok and they receive your wes, you should expect your PER. All the best. |

There are so many scenarios that can be played and really, we can only base it on our experiences. I had a different opinion until i saw sense in what some of my peeps said. Yea, let your wife apply since you have a business, then, after the first semester, you can apply for visiting. Especially if she is looking at fall (September), by November, apply for visit by Christmas. With your visiting visa, you will mostly get a visa for the duration of your wife's program. When you enter, you can change your status and get your work or study permit. You can also read up on their site especially on spouses of international students in Canada. cheers |

I wish you God's grace!!! Team12, what have you decided now or you still undecided? What's the latest? |

Gomera: Now I have applied and obtained USA student visa and have started my masters here. However I would like to get a credit transfer to Canada and I have contacted the Canadian university I got the offer letter from and got that sorted. Now I want to apply for visa for fall semester. Do you think it will be wise to reapply in such a short span after getting two rejections? Do I have a chance to get the Canadian study permit this time? If so then what documents must I show to increase my chances to obtain the visa? Please let me know since you are in the US, apply from there online and there is no problem applying after 2 denials since circumstance has changed. If you applied when you were in Naija, this time, it will probably be processed in the US especially when you attach your US study permit (F1) to the application. I guess you will have to provide evidence of sufficient funds and proof that you will be coming back to Nigeria after your program. Also, why you want to transfer to Canada.Try and also google to read up whatever you can get online. This is my humble opinion, all the best! |

o2: Hello Everyone,
I need an advice from you. I actually am planning to put in for the Express Entry this year. I have done IELTS (SCORED 7.5) and presently processing my WES ECA. I also have applied to schools in Canada. Got admission for a PG one year programme and also an MSC admission in view. This is my question. Can both application go side by side. I feel it might be a confusion since going to study implies i have a mind of coming back while going through immigration means i want to stay there. I am a BSC Graduate, 30 years lady, married with two kids. I have 3 years experience in Accounting. I have been to two countries (Dubai and LOndon) for a visit.
My question is can i apply for both? @O2, yes you can and i am a supporter of it.Even if you get your PR through the EE route, it's an advantage for you with a degree from Canada. They will pick you ahead of someone who didn't study in Canada, when push comes to shove. They are very particular about their education,so, if you can afford it, please go ahead. |

Please are we good to go?.thanks From experience and i think with the funds you guys have, it is in your best interest for just one of you to go then during your first semester break, the rest of the family can come visiting. It's quite challenging getting everyone to go, my first application was bounced until i applied alone.so, amend your plans and go alone first. |

audreypatrick20: Good Evening Mr. Akanni, you have been very helpful to me, may God bless you! 1. i just got the visa 2. i have a relative in canada (first cousin) 3. Yes, i have a letter from my own doctor (not canada's official docs in Nigeria) 4. Yes! i have more than enough to pay the fees... Do you plan to have your baby there? If yes,.. I advice you get your cousin to help you book an appointment with a doctor over there and if possible get an estimate of the medical bill. You not declaring before getting your visa that you were pregnant and have intention of having your baby in Canada, is a sore point and you will definitely be asked why at the point of entry. In my opinion, you can always have a change of mind so ask your cousin to find out on your behalf from CIC where you can mail informing them that you would like to deliver in Canada and what is required just like the US.They should reply you via mail which you can print out, and this should cover your not declaring initially, evidence that you have enough funds, evidence of interaction with a doctor over there, your Nigerian medical report and also maybe communication with your cousin stating that she feels comfortable if you have your child there because of the excellent healthcare. The link below just captures a little but you can also see that declaring upfront and availability of funds is key. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/processing/birth.aspYour cousin just has to help you do some ground work, it's easier for her/him since she/he is in Canada to call their office and get you all the info you require. I am very sure if you do the above, you will be covered. All the best though and keep me posted on your cousin's feedback. |

I'm Nigerian and I school in Ukraine...I'd like to pursue a masters degree in Canada....can I apply for a study permit here in Ukraine or I'd have to come home. I would prefer to apply from here if possible . Can one use up to three sponsors if they are willing to provide u with stipulated amounts....thanks guys for ur anticipated intelligent responses. Application is done online and via paper, you have the Canadian office in Kyiev so you can proceed with your online application in Ukraine as long as you have a valid permit to live in Ukraine.Three Sponsors should be ok though i normally hear of 2 but i am not sure there is a limit to sponsors really. You can still google the cic.gc.ca site for more info.cheers |
