OK....thanks
But is it 54days from when u arrived Canada or from when you got ur PPR? Or from when?

It's from when you arrive in Canada.

Zandora, she might not be able to land in a month considering the time before she gets her PR card.
I guess she will probably take her vacation during that period so she has to have it at the back of her mind that PR card sometimes takes over 3 months. I also learnt it is more difficult now sending it through courier back to Naija.Any contrary opinion?

Thanks a lot. You have been so helpful. I will make sure she studies hard. And again, do I have to be building the account from now? Because, the thing is I have an uncle that's ready to give us the money as soon we are readily in need of it. Coupled with the fact that we have some properties we will sell when ready to move. If they see the money at once in the account, will there be a problem.? Do we have to be building the funds up from now?
You can get your uncle to gift the money to you, the most important thing is being able to explain the sudden funds. If you sell a property, as long as you can prove that it was sold with documents, etc, you are good to go.Also, i guess if your uncle gives you the money, as long as you can prove it was given to you as a gift by your uncle, you should be good, those that are more knowledgeable will also advice you.

Hello guys, you guys have been so helpful. Kudos to Jesusdway, Zandora and everyone else. I have few questions here. I just got married like 3 months ago and i and my wife wants to write the IELTS exam for the express entry programme . The name on her passport hasn't changed, can she still use her passport for ID when putting in for IELTS?
Secondly, she's 26yrs, but she has master in public and international affairs and has 3yrs working experience with Lagos state inland revenue service (which I think there's no correlation between what she studied and where she works). Will that have any effect on her points, because I want her to be the PA because of her age and qualification.
I'm 30yrs, have just BSc in economics and I have 3yrs working experience as a cashier in an hotel, which is on NOC level D or E, but I earn more than her in salary . So, I will also like to know who is in the best position to be the PA.
And lastly, she's 2 months pregnant.i hope that won't give us any kind of delay. And in fact, will it be possible for her to give birth in Canada.. Thanks
I think you should call British council and find out what they have to say to be on the safe side. I believe she can go with an additional identity card with documents to support that the two names are for the same person. Points is based on job,as long as youcan find her jon on the NOC, she is good. It is better if she is the PA, has education and age on her side. Pregnancy is not an issue, if everything works out fine, you both should be there before she delivers and if she delivers here before everything clicks, you will only have to inform the AVO and add the baby as a dependent.

No it doesn't. The fact that you score above 400 doesn't guarantee that Ontario will send you an EOI. They only choose a select few because they have a quota to fill. Now that they haven't started their 2016 program the EOI's have dried up.
you are right Zbabe, my sister has deleted her profile thrice now, no EOI from Ontario, she scored 401.

Good day friends, i would like to know if Ontario has stopped sending invites to people with scores above 400.
My sister scored 401 and has recreated her profile twice now, still, no invite.
Anyone gotten invite in the past 2 weeks please?

Congrats Zandora and you have proved indeed that trusting God and not giving up is key.
May this job be the least paying job ever for you in Canada o,lol.

The chances of you being hired are almost impossible. Even me that's in Canada I'm getting almost frustrated. So far I've had 3 interviews, each involving various stages.

@Zandora, there are lots of immigrants in the same category as you, as such, competition is high.Depending on the specific role you looking at, a good option for you is to get at least 1 certification in banking.I don't really know you have been looking at but you might have to stoop before you conquer, based on experience.Canadian experience is really a big deal here so, back to drawing board (smile), sorry dear.

Course applied for; PGC Marketing management
Qualifications; HND in mining Engineering 2002, PGD financial management 2009
Occupation; banking, am a marketing manager
Age; 38yrs

Reasons for denial;
travel history
Purpose of visit

Hi tundd80, i think the issue might have to do with your sop.
You studied mining engineering, PGD financial mgt and now another PGC, not masters.
How convincing was your SOP? Were you able to convince the VO on why the PGC prog?
If and only if you can do this successfully, you should get it.
Travel history is not a biggy so concentrate on your SOP and refire.

Lolz yep @ "highly indebted". Thankfully our economy is going so well now, and the USD is now very strong. The USD to CAD rate makes me a bit happy lol.

But then the idea that some of these political candidates (i.e. Trump, Ted Cruz,...) have a noticeable number of supporters is scary for the economy and our world. Thankfully, the chance of any of these near-sociopathic candidates winning is low.

I just hope they won't make it, especially Trump who is so vocal!!

You are our rich and highly indebted neighbour, lol, i heard things are looking up over there, economy is our of recession and unemployment at an all time low (story).
Yes o, still in school in one cranny in Alberta, you seem so learned in this Canada runz ni, i just wanted to know if you were in here.

Hello my people, almost done with exams so i will be in this space more.
Congrats to all with visas, intending students and spouses, lol.
For those applying, always ensure the program you are going for supports what you studied in your undergraduate or linked to your job.
Always go for a postgrad instead of diploma except you can convince the VO about the importance of that diploma and why it is what you need.
You also must be convinced of the program you are going for, it helps when you writing your letter/statement of purpose.
All the best again friends!!

Thanks! My application was 19th Dec...really looking forward to a positive response from them...feed up of my present job.

If you look thru dis page,u'll see the POF/conversion rate dichotomy. How did u go abt arriving at your required $ fund from the naira balance u have?

Lastly, what are the chances that an interview session will take place?

Well, I had some extra funds which i kept aside, and fixed so, as long as CAD no reach 250, i am okay, lol.
I am not expecting an interview session o,kilode?
Its usually when there are issues they ask you to come for interview.
Its PPR i dey look forward to now once they are ok with what i sent.

Wow!! Am really amazed at the maturity in this group. Kudos to you guys. I have taken some time to read some comments and really want to take out this time to get some information as I commence. First of all am 28years,a have a Bachelor's degree in botany and just completed a postgraduate diploma degree in geography and environmental science. God bless.
Hi fizzile, your ielts scores is quite low and I will advice you resit and target like 8.0 all round.note that CRS scores above 460 will give you a good chance of getting selected in the draw.i am sure your pad will help a bit.you can try and calculate what your CRS score will be using the online CRS calculator.

Hi Akanni! I started filling my EE profile online and I was able to indicate three of the provinces. I know that depending on the province(s) you should, you may be asked some (Yes/No) question about allowing some particular province (I'm sure about Ontario) to access your EE profile. Click on check for completeness after indicating the provinces and see what happens.
Thanks waleprizu,will check.

it's VFS Canada that opened an office in Abuja to complement that in Lagos. They are on the 1st floor of the silverbird cinema in central area.
