@ akanni, nice one. A quick one please. What if you don't wanna let them know @ work place you planned leaving for school, is the study leave really compulsory for one's application? Sure other docs can fit in? For visiting I know leave letter is Kul.
Lol,well, it's your call, just add prayer join for favor if you don't include.
However, at least your organization should be able to give you a letter of introduction stating that you are going to be on leave so they should offer you their usual assistance. If like you said you have other documents, then i guess you could decide not to include the study leave letter.
You have your employment letter, salary acct statement, work id, etc, that can suffice i think.

Good Day Nairalanders...please i need clarification on my visa application documents to canada;
Include your leave letter from your office, office can also give you a covering letter for the tax certificate, i worked in a bank too and that was what my office gave me with the letter of introduction to the canadian embassy.
also, let your host send you an invitation letter/mail, and if you can show evidence of the relationship, the better e.g biodata page showing same surname of mum or dad, etc.Since she will be accommodating you, statement of account of your host will be key too, showing that she can host you.
all the best!

[quote author=damkollins post=30847560][color=#006600][size=10pt][b]Congrats on all updates and best wishes to some of us still preparing for WES and/or IELTS and speedy positive news to applicants already submitted.
My apologies to all and sundry for my abrupt absence on the thread.....even though I was not active,I have been passive to some reasonable extent.....

Nice one Dam, which province are you landing on?
I would like to holler when you reach anyways, cheers.

it's really ludicrous that people don't want to read anymore, just asking for handouts.
For all the newbies on this thread, you just have to go through the thread from at least pt.5.
Most of the people answering questions learnt this way and you have to just sacrifice that time.
@Mrnilobrawn, great job though.

That was what I did this afternoon. I was told they uploaded the test results about 2 days after I took the test.
Do you have anything to show, maybe ask the hospital to forward evidence to you to upload. You can also do a mail informing them about the feedback from the hospital and upload it so they will see.Again, check if there is any information in your CIC account on reason for request.I hope it's not an issue with one of the test you took which they need you to retake.

Hello valeriann.

I observed you got the call for your medicals about the same time I got mine. Please have you done the medical test? Has it also reflected on your CIC account and has there been request for your passport yet? I did my test on 05/02 and found out the the medical test shows "passed" but there has not been any update on my account since then, neither request for my passport. Moreso the deadline to upload my medicals is 17/02 which is tomorrow. Do you feel everything is okay please?
try and call the hospital, check the internet for their number and hear what they have to say.

I might actually leave by May also, though not sure yet.smiley
but what can do from March till I resume by May.
once you get your social insurance number, you can work full-time till school resumes when it has to be 20 hrs weekly.
Note though that you cannot say exactly when you will get the job so be prepared with enough funds for rent and living expense.
I honestly do not know who has successfully gotten work before school resumed though.

chief, this site is strictly for those desiring to study in Canada, reason why your question has not been answered.
You determine which route you want to take and if it's studies, then, go through the thread and ask any questions you have challenges with.
If you are in Cyprus, just google and see what the canadian office has to offer in that location.
whatever you want to go for, almost every application can be submitted online,so,......

Reading from d beginning is stressful cry, just kindly help me out.would really appreciate
chief, how do you think most of us got to know what we know if not based on research and other's experiences? My first response was to get you hungry and going, not to spoon feed you, lol.I know a lot of us are used to that but guy, google is your friend. i spent almost 9 months of research, then help on this forum before i got my breakthrough so to speak. With the 2 options i described, go through this forum and read from part 5, you can skip those that look like gist. Google how relatives can sponsor you to canada, schooling in canada, options of moving to canada (try cic.gc.ca) and then you can ask questions based on what you find.Note that this forum is really for schooling in Canada, mrnilobrawn has also said some stuff you should listen!
All the best and try graduate with 2'1 o or the talk go plenty when the time reach, lol!!!!!!

Hi everyone in the house, its a privilege to ve seen a lot of testimonies been circulated here nd m quite happy for them .m new here and i need answers to some questions.
Waiting patiently for any answers, thanks in anticipation. smiley
There are 2 options in my opinion; your relatives filing or nominating you for immigration or school.
You as an undergraduate i guess has no work experience so you cannot apply for EE (Federal skilled worker Prog).
So, look at a program and try school, that should be your best option.

Pls any experience person in the house to help me out. Still waiting for reply. Thanks.
Soji0509 has done justice in my honest opinion.Do your research on schools offering your program and provinces that offer immigration plans for International PHD graduates. Provinces such as Ontario in Alberta,Ontario,Manitoba, Saskachewan just to mention a few do have this, so, check for your program and see the salary and wage in each province, then how the immigration is for that particular province, then, you can look at the schools, preferably get like 3 schools so you can have options.Hope this helps?

Pls I need urgent answer
Must I apply for school admission before I can get canadian visa?
sad
What would you need the Canadian visa for sir? You have transit, visit, student, work, etc visa.
so, depending on what you are going to Canada for, you get the required visa for it.
However, if you want to get study visa without admission, please come back and share your testimony, lol.

Guys I need your help and advice please. I want to apply to two different Canadian colleges-SAIT and OLDS. Among the requirements is the scan of high school transcripts and this is a big issue for me. My friend who has been admitted into another Canadian college(humber) said my University transcript will cover that of the high school. In essence he is saying I dont need the secondary school transcripts. Do I really need it or not? Please help.
if it's for Olds, they don't require your transcripts, however, whatever certificate you want to present, it must be verified by WES or any of the educational assessment bodies in Canada because they do not have an int'l admissions department that verifies authenticity of transcripts or degrees.

cheers

Good day my good people. Am planning to resume @ U of Calgary this May for an M. Sc. in Sustainable Energy Development. Got TRV already. Please I would like to know the prospect of getting job in Canada upon completion. I will also like to know anyone in U of C/Calgary. Thanks.
You suppose get job for Alberta, you still have a long way to go though.Even if people say jobs no dey, how e take affect you? It's what you believe sir/ma that will work for you.Come over, face studies and do well, package yourself and look at the various opportunities in your field, the sky is your starting point. The only downside really in my opinion is accommodation but who cares if you earn $40/hr and your rent is $1500 for a 2 bedroom monthly? In a week, you don pay your rent wink. You will get job even before completion of your program.Since you are coming to alberta, check this link and look at wages in your occupation

bro with that your age,its a big problem for diploma program..
my advice is to go for either professional course like PMP or advanced diploma.

NB. all undergraduate of diploma applicants shouldn't exceed 23 yrs old.
take care.
Haustraliah, u lie o,i had a B.Sc and still got TRV for diploma and i am over 30.
Like someone said earlier, it depends on the reason you give in your sop if it flies with the VO.
If it has to do with your present role at work, enhancing your skills, etc it will fly.
the guy must be able to explain why another diploma, bottom line!

Guy,

I have gone through the various threads for migration to Canada as a fed skilled worker. The requirements r numerous. Please I need help oooo. I don't hv d ielts result,i don't hv d eca report. Am so confused. Please where do I start from?
Start from there: sit for IELTS general and begin processing your ECA i.e your highest qualification, you can use WES canada, just google it and read up the process flow(request for transcript from school, register on the WES.CA site and follow the steps).

Thanks bt my case quite different. I deferred to fall since I was delayed for winter session but I haven't heard from the school for a month and some weeks! I have sent mails upon mails and no response yet I even called notin encouraging. Am tinking of applying to another school and then a different course (sometin very close to my work experience) wld have loved to wait till march bt application for fall in the colleges I want to go to closes on February 1st. Just want to knw if it won't raise a red flag if I apply to CIC wit a diff school and a diff course.
Go ahead and get the admission first from the other school, hopefully by the time you get it, the other one would have responded.
You can still hold on with your visa application till around April, you will have 5 months before fall.
Change of course will raise a flag especially if you submitted a SOP before except you are going for an upgrade to your earlier prog i.e masters/pgd instead of Ug/diploma.

@akanni, I realised u got delayed on your first attempt for a study visa, did you change school wen you applied the second time? Pls I really need an ans on dis pls.
House and Nlers in Canada, pls is there anyone who got delayed on his or her first attempt and changed school and course on his or her second attempt? I need your help. Gracias.
Well, i reapplied like 2 weeks after my initial delay; i corrected the reason for delay.
I was expecting that i would still meet up so i still applied using the same docs and school.
My school got back to me saying I had to reapply next fall since I was not going to be able to make resumption based on my mail telling them i reapplied and would not make resumption date.
I got the visa a month i think after resumption but of course I tried to look for other schools resuming in Jan since september was no longer possible.
I chose one of the 2 schools and logged on the online application and changed my DLI, first to another school, then after the second school gave me admission, i changed again to that.
Summary, depends really, i think you shouldn't change school but if they have resumed a while back, get a letter for the next resumption date and reapply but if the other school you changing to is offering the same prog, you can go for it.
My thots

Good morning peeps, what's your advice on Uni of Manitoba? How good is the skool, heard its so cold out there in Winnipeg.
Are there people living there?yes!
Are they surviving, yes!
Is the school good? Google rankings of schools in Canada to have an idea.
On a lighter note, Canada is generally a cold country so if you don't want cold, try schools in North Africa, lol.
Its a good school by the way, if you get admitted,i was denied for my masters smiley
