Seems there's some quantum entanglement between the Indian and the hair. |
Eklektika: They always have this nasty irritating odour-yes. Both male(house boy) and female(house maid/ house girl). No matter how many times they bath. They are often dark in complexion(a sign of being dirty) with the females often dark, squat and having large bosoms. They present a connundrum. With the advent of kids in the home comes the need for a house-help. But they are a menace. Treat them well and they'll turn and backstab you. Treat them badly and you'll be the fall guy. They steal. They just cant work until you flog them. And how they can lie. Worse than d devil. Even when caught red-handed. And dats just d beginning of their vice list. The house-boy abuses the little girl, the house-girl introduces the little boy to his first and subsequent sexual experiences. With sex readily available in movies and the 'net, its better not to imagine what fantasies that these house-helps practise on the poor children. Perhaps your children. Some even initiate the children they are meant to baby-sit into witch-covens. I had a neighbour about 15years ago whose house-help almost initiated the child she was meant to baby-sit. And they overtly or covertly seduce d Oga. I have heard tales of how some house-helps infected the children they were meant to take care of with STIs. Scores of books could be written on how house-helps have broken many homes. But its almost unthinkable to say you can run a home without them. I stayed with my Elder Sister for 3 months helping her to baby-sit her son and I have admit ruefully that their services are almost indispensable. So what gives? Would you employ a house-help? Or Would you get a daily paid house-keeper? Do you have one? How are you coping? What do you know about your kids and your house-helps? Or would you ask your wife to stay at home and take care of your family? If you would get a house-help,what precautions would you take to ensure that they dont break your home? I'm thinking of getting married and I've been thinking about this issue. Ladies,Gents and married wo/men your comments would be appreciated. They are smelly and sweaty cos u contantly overwork them. Yes they maltreat your children cos they are child themselves deprived of love and wondering why you children should be so pampered. Yes they will try to seduce your husband cos thats what they see on africa magic. Having househelp is glorified slavery! |
@Poster You willingly allowed your personal space to be invaded, now you are complaining. If you dont want these people to eventually kill you, pack there things out, lock up the room, stay away from the place for about 2wks. |
Part of my growing up was at okokomaiko in a reverse FMIFY. i.e the opposite rooms r back 2 back. No toilet, no kitchen, bathroom was palmfronds structure and the door was your mum's wrapper. No need to further explain toilet was shotput in an expanse of land behind the compound. Kitchen was just by your doorway. 3 rooms away was aunty chika- a prostitute. Behind was Baba ijebu an agbero who smokes igbo (I buy rizla for him). Iya Segun (RIP) sells paraga in front of the building. Papa Chika(RIP) was a footballer. Baba wata, father of 7 was a bus driver . Iya mosun mistress of an herbalist runs an hair dressing saloon in one of the shops, always bringing water to chill in our fridge. |
Its a greater torn in one's flesh when we have Judaizers as parents or siblings, whom we love with all our heart. |
No big deal if the water is clean. Cos water is in dispenser container does not mean it must be bought. |
pdozie: I just started using both sets over the past weekend. They are still operational. Yea, I used my meter meaure the voltage. When the inverter said 'battery charged', I got 51.8v. I really dont know how to measure the current. If I put the meter terminals on the +ve & -ve of the batteries and push the meter button to Amp, it doesnt read anything. Please advice....Careful there so you dont blowup your meter. The current limit (usually 10A) your meter can measure is usually printed near the socket where you plug in your positive lead for current measurement. Ensure the current you want to measure does not exceed your meter range. Otherwise go for a clamp on ammeter. |
Logicboy03: how foolish.Declaring a great writeup as foolishness is the real foolishness. If you have a beef with God, state it elsewhere. The article is about injustice in society. |
ile naira: @life707, do you still have these how much per unitI got mine thru a friend in a telecomm company. They were phasing out the 2v volt type back then replacing it with 12v slim profile type. Another guy I know, says the 2v used battery is available in the market, 1000ah 2v. His name is Arthur 0702 580 3611 |
Your idea is bordering on teleportation. If teleportation can be achieved your idea will sell. |
Price mothers pay for abandonning their babies. The fact that the nanny is a woman and matronly does not make her suitable. Women u cant have it all. |
Could anyone who managed to read thru help list the major points of the article. |
Its a good way to "reset" a relationship. Me and wifey do at least once year. But it shouldnt last more than a day. |
israel7732: sound proof gen at what cost?Do the maths yourself. Your proposal for inverter and 4 deep cyle is childs play vis-a vis the air conditioners the man wants to power. If it were just tv, fan, lighting , your proposal is fine. Air conditioners are energy guzzlers. |
Afam4eva: I just saw the news...I hope Queen Eliza will follow her lead. Abi that one wan die for throne? And charlie is not getting younger. |
Just get a sound proof gen. |
deyour: Hello,Very nice as desktop/ bedside fan. Dont expect same airflow as metal grill ox fan. It provides soft breeze |
No wonder 0yaks packages himself like Whitey. |
the small square shaped enid blyton books were my favourite. I always borrowed from my ajebo classmates. I got fascinated to african novels with the pace setters series; christmas in the city, the deliquents, bloodbath at lobster close, the worshippers, sisi, vicious circle etc. |
that guy is just blowing hot air. unless he proves pvc is carcinogen, he has no case, |
why now? The schools have always been like this. Its a nigerian thing. The toilet in many homes are worse, yet you see the occupants in flashy cars. |
The super eagles are irredeemable. No coach can perform wonders. These guys are "big" boys by naija standard. They have become what every nigerian want to be ; stinking rich. Ever wonder why the age group teams perform better? |
Nice concept but poorly executed. I can imagine how much the poor groom had pay. |
not in naija where bullshit, who u know, willingness to "cooperate" is the order of the day. Such candour works in a more advanced society. |
Your driver needs to be tough and strong to handle d stress of agbero, police snd bad roads. Make an hire purchase agreement with a reliable guarantor. Pray everything goes well. For me though its not worth all d stress. Wouldnt advise anyone to venture into it except you plan to drive or be the conductor. |
I just googled it. Its pure fiction. |
It definitely would be easier than afghanistan. Its all desert, no mountains. |
Way to go bro Splendid job. Na Uduaghan suppose commission this your project o. . Congrats |
