Kobojunkie:
You mean the thousands of governors/presidents/governments around the world who respond to most every petition and still find them to accomplish so much more are not of this planet"? Can we please stop making excuses and bringing up dishonest reasons for why rule of law/tenets of democracy should be trampled upon, even in this case? Jonathan, who has only been acting president for 2 minutes is himself having to respond to tons of petitions requesting he intervene in one case or another and yet you are here lying that it can not be done? Come on!!
I'm a realist and studying the Nigerian situation, you will spend 4 years facing petitions and you will be a massive failure in governance. This is not typing stuffs online mate.

PoliticsRe: There Is No Stopping Fashola’s Probe —keyamo by akinalabi(m): 5:08pm On Apr 30, 2010
If you want to govern a state in Nigeria and you find time answering petitions, you will achieve NOTHING in four years.

That is the reality of the system here.

Although this sounds undemocratic, Fashola must ignore all these and trudge on doing his work.

We have a choice. He faces petitions or he faces governance. Its up to us. Personally, I'll pick governance.

What I've always believed is doing it (as in winning trophies) over and over again is what makes a great coach.

Jose is getting there.

We need to see how Pep will bounce back from this.

I didnt know who to support. . . But I'm quite happy Inter won.

I was waiting for a situation where Pep was at a disadvantage position and how he would react and turn things around. He failed miserable.

Too predictable all through with their triangular passes. With 11 Inter men, they wont score even if they play for 10 hours.

@labiyemmy:
I needed noone to encourage me to move back home in 2006 when I did so, I saw a market, and I tapped into it, as many has done- we didnt see the hardship, we didnt see NEPA, we didnt see bad roads, only fools look at those things before deciding what to do - and ask me, 4 years after that- it has been a very good story, with three offices and many more in the pipeline, I surely needed noone to encourage me or neither did I need to wait till the country is better before going back home.

What do you want to do in America or Europe that noone else have done? Nothing! But bring one unique idea to Nigeria and stay focused on it and see how you will reap the reward of your hardwork.
GREAT ATTITUDE!

Some people will tell you that you have to save the whole of Nigeria or you've not done anything meaningful.
PoliticsRe: Top Ten Most Corrupt Nigerians Alive by akinalabi(m): 9:48pm On Apr 25, 2010
Are we talking about corrupt politicians or orrupt Nigerians.

There are countless Nigerians on the street, in different offices that are more corrupt than the names listed here.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Barcelona Fans Thread. by akinalabi(m): 9:29pm On Apr 21, 2010
~Sauron~:
I am not a Barca fan but they were robbed last night.
Mourinho used his strong-arm tactics perfectly and he got the rub of the green.

Inter's 3rd goal was clearly scored from an OFFside position and Daniel Alves shoulda copped a penalty and a RED card for Sneijder(tackle from behind)
Based on those 2 incidents, game might have ended 2-0.

On top of that all, Barca were tired after the long coach ride and i heard Jose Mourinho refused to water the pitch in San Siro.
The ball didn't zip at all so the passes were nowhere. I still tip Barca to destroy Mourinho.

To keep Messi quiet in front of his fans is a big ASK and i won't be surprised if Inter concedes 4 goals in the first 60 mins next week.
I back Barca to go through but I dont want to hear excuses about yesterday. They were roundly beaten.

Referee? They should remember Ovrebo

Dry pitch? They are sounding like Wenger. Its flimsy. They should be ready to play anywhere, anytime.

is what Giggs is doing these days.
PoliticsRe: Bbc, Olusosun And Nigerian Middle Class Hypocrisy by akinalabi(m): 6:29pm On Apr 17, 2010
How on earth did you come about the middle class hypocrisy?

I have NEVER MET any middle class or even rich Nigerian that says the economy is good or the slums are not bad.

Because some people (including me) claim you can go past the terrible state to make a good living for yourself does not traslate to saying the country is in good shape.

You're the hypocritical one here.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread! We Are The Red Devils! by akinalabi(m): 6:36pm On Apr 14, 2010
@ Eastbay,

I'm so sorry to hear this. Our Maker knows best.

Meanwhile, don't worry about Dayo. We've all been long enough in this sport to know that anyone
that wins has the right to say anything. He has the bragging rights, so let him enjoy.  cheesy

Even the most die hard Bayern fans can't say they disgraced Man Utd. Watching the game, no Bayern
fan would have complained if it ended 7-1.

But like I said earlier, all na story. Bayern qualifies. Thats all that matters.

Review of last Wednesday? Rafael's inexperience caused us the day. That game was meant to be another
Roma kind of mauling. If we had won 7-1, NO ONE in Europe would have been surprised.

But like I said, that na story. Who goes through at the end is what matters. Congrats Bayern.

The only people allowed to make mouth now are Dayo and Chelsea fans. Bayern eliminated us (even if they had nothing over us but dat na story) and Chelsea is racing towards the league.

I just cant believe Arsenal fans too are talking cheesy

We are dissaponited but we can't win the league forever. We have to relinquish it at some point.

There forum does not even use to approve any applicant. This has  happened to me nd my friend, Any comment can b sent to  'hadjibabaondrun@gmail.com, JUST BEWARE,
If your withdrawal was approved on the 11th of April (Sunday), it simply means you have to wait till a
working day to get paid. Were you expecting us to go and deposit into your bank account on a Sunday?

If you have not received it today, it simply means there is an issue with it and there is a customer service
line you can call from 10am to 4pm.

It's not. . . . .No Pique, No Puyol.
Barcelona are in trouble but their atmosphere should get them through.

Arsenal on the other hand are without Cesc going to the lion's den.
I think they will get pasted 4-0 in the first half at Camp Nou.
The odds are against Arsenal. But we all know this game and how it can turn.

At 2-0 down, Arsenal to win this game on Bet365 was 75/1

After the equalizer, it went straight down to EVS
