EducationN Y S C: Need Repakaging If Not Scraping! by akinolasam(op): 10:25pm On Apr 25, 2011
This year has turned out to be the worst for the graduating students of this Nation who are supposedly to be serving their father-land across the Northern parts. This is not the first and I want to say (not as a prophet of doom) it will not be the last time that young LIVES and TALENTS will be cut short by the uneducated fools.

To many of us, N Y S C was a place of fun, but that was in those days. An average copper now will tell you how horrible the life in Camp has become, couple with the truth/fact that some communities are not hospitable at all.

I will want all and sundry, who knows about the pains and agony encountered during service year and the recent trends of murder of Youth Coppers to speak up now. Let us demand for a repackaging of this compulsory national exercise if it must continue, and where good conditions can not be provided it is better to completely scrap it now than wait for when some hoodlums and religion fanatics will just walk into a camp/coppers lodge with explosives.

As for me I am even asking that COPPERS BE MADE TO GO AND SERVE IN THEIR STATE OF ORIGIN where they will have VALUE than sending then to the lions dens in the name of serving the fatherland.

Everyone is entitled to his or her view,
but if you had narrowly escaped death from this people before
or someone close to you was affected in any way, then you will
appreciate what Mr Bologi did for those families.

I just hope and pray that someone will put an end to all these killings one day.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Suspends The Minister Responsible For Internal Security by akinolasam: 7:57am On Apr 20, 2011
NAIRALANDERS, we should not let any man fool us. The president action is totally political.
The minister refused to deliver his senatorial seat to PDP, and was also seeing on the election day talking to some youth to vote for APGA against the PDP candidate (Chief (Mrs) Chikwe) because of some personal reasons.

^^^ Not they say. they say.
I was on the spot on the election day.

So more heads will still roll.

It seems most of the people praising any of the SELFISH leaders this country ever had do not reside in Naija.

If you do, CAN YOU TELL US HOW MUCH IS A LITRE OF KEROSINE IN YOUR AREA.
Lets take the argument from there.

I DON'T THINK THERE IS ANY PLAN FOR ELECTIONS
WHAT THE FEDERAL GOVT IS PLANNING IS SELECTION.
THERE WAS OPEN CONFRONTATION TODAY BETWEEN PARTY LEADERS IN SOME STATES.
HOWEVER, THIS TIME AROUND RIGGING IS LIKE CALLING FOR SIMILAR TROUBLES LIKE IT HAPPENED IN IVORY COAST
PoliticsRe: Imo Supports Governor Ikedi Ohakim, PDP by akinolasam: 8:14am On Apr 01, 2011
Was at Owerri, the Imo State capital for few weeks now, and going by what I witnessed along Weatheral Road (a major road in the municipal) yesterday (31/3/11) where Ohakim of PDP had rally in the Stadium, and the main opponent Rochas Owelle of APGA had part of his street rally, the sitting governor is in for a tough time come the election day.
The convoy of the Governor and his people were openly disgraced with people throwing sachets of pure water on them and their vehicle despite the hundreds of regular & mobile police, while along the same street you could see people jubilating to have Rochas driving at a snail slow speed without any special security cover. If that is what you call IMO's SUPPORT for GOVERNOR OHAKIM (PDP), then he is on his way out of the state house.

Nothing Spoil.
So far she is not going to be saying any of such @ international level.
If she shoot such bullets in even just Ghana, the embarrassment will not be small oh!
I think if it is still within Naija, we go manage all the BOMBS though not the best.

According to the poster, this is a new development after she returned from NYSC assignment.
when a lady (girl friend, spouse or wife) all of a sudden begin to stop her man from accessing her phone (which she was not doing before)
then the hand writing on the wall does not need the NAIRALANDERS to interpret.

apart from the regular bleeping that you may enjoy, and someone coming around to do your dirty jobs (sweeping+washing+cooking) there is not much advantage in neighborhood dating.

in fact, experience has shown that when the bubble finally bust (which is bound to happen sooner or latter) you will be in for some shameful and embarrassing moments.

any way, like someone has said earlier, experience is the best teacher.

and when I called an old lady-friend of mine, the line went through immediately at about 12:37am.

the truth must be told at these trying times. only a good muslim who has the fear of God will condemn such acts sincerely.as one, i totally condemn this acts even though by fellow muslim brothers will not like it, i will say it any way cos it has already been mentioned here and its d truth.
the clause in the quran has given room 4 any body to interprete his own way.

Mohammed first revelation; Islam is a religion of peace

Many of Mohammed’s first revelations tell us the Christians and Jews are God's wonderful people;

(Surah 10:94 And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those (Christians & Jews) who read the Scripture (that was) before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the waverers.

Mohammed's second (final) revelation
The Quran tells Muslims to kill the unbelievers wherever they find them (Surah 2.191), murder them and treat them harshly (Surah 9:123), slay them (Surah 9.5), fight with them (Surah 8:65 ), strive against them with great endeavor (Surah 25.52), be stern with them because they belong to hell (Surah 66.9) to strike off their heads; then after making a “wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives” for ransom (Surah 47.4).

This is the reason for much of the confusion within Islam as Muslims will quote you the more loving verses of the earlier revelations while ignoring the facts. However the Islamic fundamentalists know this well and they are condemned to hell by the Quran if they do not follow the last revelations.

(Surah 4:89) They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks,
(Quran 8.12} I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them,

I have done my research on the quran and bible and i have made my decision. all muslim brothers must embrace peace and help in eradicating terror and unjust killing of innocent blood. d radical few have painted all our good deeds black, lets make nigeria a better place because even major islamic nations dont have peace. peace can be attained thu diversity. the truth shall set nigeria free !!!!
[/b]
if all these instructions are given to blood thirsty fellows, what else do you expect: of course mass killing (plane bombing, car bombing, market bombing). May JEHOVAH GOD deliver this generation from violence - amen

If you are seriously looking for sincere advice, I think you have one already.
Just go back to post #33 @reference .

as for marriage, why it does not not work sometimes is because we often look for way out even after we have said
it is for better and for worse, till death do us part.
