I'm asking whether having the faith of Abraham is a prequisite to be saved. I have done some research and come up with this:

Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

This is what the bible says in concerning salvation in relation to Abraham:
Ac 13:26 Men and brethren, children of the stock (or genealogy) of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

just like my priest said at mass yeterday evening that his desire is to make heaven and to carry as much people as he encounters daily with him; let us concentrate more on how to please God with lives, and refrain from passing judgement.

This was directed at Jesoul but I'd like to say that I would really like to see how Catholics get out of this thread's topic with a biblical explanation to what is in the Catechism concerning it. If you can do this convincingly enough, I'd acknowledge it even though I may not accept it. But as it is now, you have not been able to and that's probably, probably why you are accusing others of "catholic bashing"

IMO, Catholics teach what Christ taught as well as what is contained in the Catechism, Papal declarations etc. However, many of these extra-biblical materials cannot be convincingly backed up by scripture. For example, I decided to visit your thriving Catholic thread today and saw this:

This is an example of something that I can't find in my bible. I'm not out to bash anyone. IMO everyone has the right to question beliefs that are contrary to theirs and to feel dissatisfied when an answer is not convincing enough.

Lazarus was described as being in the bossom of Abraham in heaven.

Abraham who let's assume is the least in the kingdom of heaven is also greater than John the Baptist.

What is the basis of this assumption? The bible in Matt. 11:11 didnt state any characteristics of the least in the kngdom so which are you profering? I genuinly want to learn.
