Well bros it seems youre just starting and youre willing to learn which is very good.
Speaking of the second inversion of C, inversions have to do with chords, not scales.
I suggest that you learn music theory.
It will give you the essential foundation you need.

Meanwhile, work on this chord chart:

How can you mistake soul prospering for pocket prospering shocked, that is the height of bible manipulation. I know a lot of pastors have mis-quoted this passage when they are preaching their favorite subject (prosperity of the pocket) if you go back to the scriptures were apostle paul spoke about soul prospering read it from the beginning, you would understand he was talking about salvation and not material wealth. tongue
Precisely. I did not misquote anything. The degree of our material prsperity is proportional to the degree of our soul's prosperity. That is how I interpreted the passage. Read agian.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastors Should Not Love Or Emphasize Money by AKO1(m): 5:46pm On May 23, 2008
lol I get what ure saying. I was actually not referring to Pastors alone and sorry if you feel I am in any way deviating from your thread.

What I mean is that we are not supposed to hate money in the name of not lusting after it.

at least three different types of offerings and tithes are collected during each service under different guises
If you cannot prove it then its better not to make wrong assumptions. But if you can, seriously consider packing your bags from that church.

I beleive money should be seriously de- emphaisized in the church, the church should focus more on salvation of souls than prosperity of the flesh.
Yeah, the bible says that God wishes above all that we prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper.
Christianity EtcRe: Celestial Church of Christ: Your Experience And Opinion by AKO1(m): 5:32pm On May 23, 2008
First, let me point out that I do attend the Celestial Church of Christ. I have been a member for 28 years
In that case no one should expect to convice or convict you. Only God can at this stage.
Christianity EtcRe: Celestial Church of Christ: Your Experience And Opinion by AKO1(m): 5:30pm On May 23, 2008
"Celestial". That speaks of angels, right?

Does not the bible say that angels are minstering spirits sent to us who are the heirs of salvation?

Would God name His church after you?
Worse still, would God name His church after your servant?

Christianity EtcRe: Pastors Should Not Love Or Emphasize Money by AKO1(m): 5:25pm On May 23, 2008
I think that they and we all need to strike a balance. The bible says the love of money is the root of all evil, it also says that money answereth all things.

I am not one of those that believe that God is a dum-dum, that He contradicts Himself. So there has to be a Godly balance.
Christianity EtcRe: Adam Was Not The First Man by AKO1(m): 5:19pm On May 23, 2008
Multioption:
Bible is highly suggestive of a pre-adamic world, and I will not attempt to speculate on what humans lookid like at the time.
Yeah, I agree with you although the bible doesnt say so in black and white. Some theologians believe that between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2, there is a massive time lapse. The sense behind it is that if God created the "heavens and the earth", how can the earth all of a sudden become without form and void"? There must have been a time lapse between the first and second creations.

They also argue that it (Gen.1:1 and Gen 1:2) cannot be the same creation because immediately after the 2nd, God saw that it was good. Why would God who is the same yesterday, today and forever make a void earth and immediately after make a good one?

Like I said this is not written in black and white in the bible, its sort of in between the lines.
Christianity EtcRe: Adam Was Not The First Man by AKO1(m): 5:11pm On May 23, 2008
Speaking of having a fixed mindset, this is part of what the new testament has to say about Adam:

1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
If there were creatures before Adam,they could not have been men or human beings.

Incidentally, the Greek word for man is Adam. That's probably why God refers to both male and female in the bible as 'men' because it's about biological make up not gender.

KunleOshob:
@AKO
The other children Adam and eve had were long after abel died. they couldn't have been the ones that could have killed cain that was being refered to in genesis 4 : 14-15.
Adam and Eve were still alive, right? Could,nt they have been the ones? I really dont know.
Christianity EtcRe: Adam Was Not The First Man by AKO1(m): 1:58pm On May 23, 2008
27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
Let me correctly interprete this for you sir. If you recall, God took a rib out of Adam to create Eve (female). Hence, what the passage is essentially saying is that the resource(s) for creating both male and female were created once God created Adam. Eve was inherent in Adam.

Passage Genesis 2:7-8:
the LORD God formed the man The Hebrew for man (adam) sounds like and may be related to the Hebrew for ground (adamah)
Just because two words sound alike in any language does not make them synonyms. So in this case Im afraid youre wrong.

15 But the LORD said to him, "Not so [a] ; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.)
this was a conversation between cain and God after he had killed Abel. The other people being refered to there is another pointer to the fact that God created other people apart from Adam and Eve.
Adam and Eve had other children after this incident, right?

Is that really your smartest answer? Why wont more and more people be discouraged to travel to SA when they know they might be killed not by natural causes but by some xenophobic individual(s)? Your response was very rude and totally uncalled for. An eye for an eye makes the world go blind.

I'd like to ask from those who have some experience in this stuff: in what practical ways can you convince the embassy pple that you would return to your country? Of all the usual questions, I think this is the most difficult to answer. Thanks.

@ako
i get what you mean,and i must say i have learn from reading the comments and it has also challenged my reading more into these things but when it gets to the stage of my religion is better than yours,then what is the essence of our own personal beliefs, the way i see it is that if i am a good practising christian or a great one an atheist or pagan that admires my way of life will come to me and ask me what kind of religion i practise,look at the religious wars if both christians and great ones expend all that energy of fighting either physically or intellectually into being good xtians or great ones ,this worlds problem will have been solved long ago and we would be living in near paradise on earth, most people read the bible and the great book so that they can score points and maybe browbeat the other into acceptng their point of view instead of focuse on the positives from both religions ,marry the two tgether and forget about the negatives, whatever we believe either right or wrong,the authors of both books are not presently with us so whats all the fuss about, i don't see hpw a a great one in these days can be a mouthpiece for the great prophet and i don't see how a christian in this days can be a mouthpiece for jesus christ
I appreciate and understand what you are saying. But I must confess to you that it is difficult, very very difficult to be silent when someone says something that disagrees with your beliefs. It is even worse when you dont know them, and you are miles apart from each other and hence would not suffer any of the consequences of being intolerant. This is the scenario on Nairaland. It is only on an online forum that you can insult someone that is twice your age or build without any fear or threat of a black eye, etc. That further compounds the problem. And think about this, in my immediate environment, there is not as much 'heat' concerning religion as there is on this forum even though the dissagreements are as stark as they are here. I guess this must be the same in your own environment and I'm inclined to think that the reason(s) why are similar to the one I mentioned above.

i don't see hpw a a great one in these days can be a mouthpiece for the great prophet and i don't see how a christian in this days can be a mouthpiece for jesus christ
Ermmm, I dont know about Great Ones but Jesus instructed christians to go into all the world and preach the gospel. In other words, Jesus was saying " I gotta go boys, continue what I started". So in essence, we are mouthpieces of Jesus today. But I dont think that Jesus would recommend us always attacking the other person's beilef as a way of convincing (or convicting as some people try to do) them. When youre trying to convince a brainwashed person otherwise, the last thing you want to do is attack them because thats like slapping them in the face and expecting them to smile at you; even children wont smile.

Truth really is that both religion's followers and aethists are brainwashed. It would take more than harsh words to convince them otherwise. It would take a logical counter-argument. Logic and fury do not complement each other.
