Most of the people coming to the healing school are not Christ Embassy members. Often times, they are not born again. They only give their lives after the healing.
Okay. I wasnt aware of that neither do I have authentic researched data to this effect. Hope its avaialable someday smiley

fyneguy:
Bro AKO,

If Jesus were to be around now, I'm sure you would ask him not to heal the sick but ask them to go and pray to God.

You would criticize him. Dont try to do a rejoinder to this. You and I know your mindset on such things as this.

Frankly, I suspect some envy.
I don't get it. What is it about my post that speaks of envy or criticism of your pastor? Why do you feel that you know my mindset when you don't even know my skin colour? Why do you feel that you have the jurusdiction to tell me what I should say or not?

I wrote in very simple english. I am not saying that Jesus would not heal people. Here's what I said:
Why can't they learn and then go and pray for themselves? Does that mean that they would have to go all the way back to Lagos when the next sickness/handicap comes? No be fight oh, na simple question.
I reserved my comments about the authenticity of the miracles done through your pastor, which is the crux of this thread. You may speculate what my comments are, feel free, but remember that there is a 50/50 chance that it is true or false.
What I instead chose to adress was the people. Too many christians have an unhealthy over-reliance on MOG for every small and big thing. They behave as if Jesus did not die for everybody and His power is not available to everybody that dares to believe it. Regarding what you said, Jesus did not even expect His disciples to pray to Him for everything. On the calming of the storm, when the disciples woke Him up for help, He called them men of little faith. In other words, their faith could have calmed the sea without having to wake Him from His sweet sleep.
Similarly, there are many things people run to MOG for that they can handle themselves. That's why I wanted to know if such people would have to go all the way back to Lagos. And Donnie answered appropriately by saying they are given a free book to go and learn for themselves. That's all I needed to hear. So all this your talk about envy was absolutely unecessary. By the grace of God I don't have any physical handicap so there is no need to envy the people that go to your healing school. Neither is there any reason to envy p. Chris because to everything there is a time and a season under the sun.

Listen to yourself. . .  do you sound like Jesus?

You are asking that question to the wrong folks because over  80% of candidates who attend the healing school are from other churches including

yours. In Christ Embassy, we know how to excercise our faith. The Word works at Christ Embassy

Are you aware that  there is something like the doctrine of laying on of hands in the church of Jesus Christ?

If it were for you, i will not respond, but for many others who might be misled by this your lack of compassion;

We are moved by compassion the same way Jesus was.

Many of those who come are actually given up to die. For many of them, it is their final bus stop.

A lot of them have tried everything they could, many are too weak and cannot even begin to exercise faith without the patience and love that is

lavished on them with the Word at the healing school.

The come, they hear the Word, their faith is built up, then they make contact with the healing annointing at Work in the Man of God and then a miracle

is inevitable.

Let me tell you something. Not many churches in this country can have such an outpouring of God's power as we experience at Christ Embassy.

The reason is obviuous. . . they have not love.

They may shout, speak in tongues, sing, jump, dance but there is no power because faith worketh by love.

They are selfish and greedy, there is envy hatred and malice; therefore God is far from their midst.

And like you, they neither have respect for the things of the Spirit nor for God's annointed.

We lay hands on the sick out of compassion and of course because we know we carry something in our hands. Something that can change the hurting

world around us; something which the world needs; something we received freely and which we also give freely.

They are not only taught how to recieve their healing but how to live in divine health. There is also a book which everyone of them is given free of charge:

How to keep your healing by Chris Oyakhilome. Follow the teachings in it and you wouldnt have to come back for healing.
This guy men see as you just carry this thing go kentro level shocked shocked, shebi I talk say no be fight. grin grin grin grin grin

Speaking frankly, myself and many others who come across your post will see that you are already very bitter about the negativity of this thread, and you are probably out to e-tongue lash anyone who is asking simple, innocent and constructive questions. This is because as innocent as my post was, you still say things like:
And like you, they neither have respect for the things of the Spirit nor for God's annointed.
Secondly, this statement:
80% of candidates who attend the healing school are from other churches including

yours
has not been researched neither can it be verified by you or me. So for now, it is a LIE and definately does'nt
sound like Jesus
. See how your four fingers were staring at you when you pointed that one to me?? wink wink It also seems as if you have contacts in most of the 'non-public-miracle-working' churches since you know that they don't exercise the love of God!!! Such negative and generalised statements are not Jesus-like brotha! Youre making non-factual assumptions, and concluding that CE is the most loving church!!! Only Jesus can verify that for now brotha and you don't know errbody.
Now back to the essence of my post: The only thing you said regarding what I said is
They are not only taught how to recieve their healing but how to live in divine health. There is also a book which everyone of them is given free of charge:

How to keep your healing by Chris Oyakhilome. Follow the teachings in it and you wouldnt have to come back for healing.
Now that was what I was looking for but you insisted on taking it to the next level. In asking that question, I was only suggesting that
over  80% of candidates who attend the healing school
have an unhealthy over-reliance on men of God and so called men of God for everything; they never understand that the promises of God are for everybody and every christian has the potential to receive all of the will of God for them, including healing by and for themselves. So that the people
wouldnt have to come back for healing
because of the book is a good thing and has impressed me a bit. Yet you say I have no regard for the things of the spirit,  chai. undecided

Cheer up, the word works for Donnie and A_K_O and Pastor Chris and everybody who dares to believe it!!! smiley

It is simple. Just dial 125 from your glo line, listen to the voice prompt then, press 2, listen again, press 1, listen again, press 3, listen again, press 2, listen again and finally, press 1, the phone will hang up after some seconds. It is that easy. The midnight call rate is 5kobo per second glo 2 glo from 12.00 midnight to 5.00am. Dont borther to cut your call when it is 5.00am, exactly one hour of your call time, they will cut you off why you are still charged at 5kobo per second. That is, if you get connected at let say 04.59am, your call will be terminated at 05.59am if you do not cut off. Your charge is still 5kobo per second. Try it now. Their day time call rate is 48kobo per second glo 2 glo on classicplus.
Thank you luluosas. God bless you.

There are obvious contradictions. I can post a whole lot of them here for you.
bawomolo will be pleased to see them.

Good. Now, apply this to the verses I posted earlier.

Good. Now, pray, and get to work resolving these issues.

I have not even started.
Pray for understanding. God will give you. Goodbye to this thread. You can 'start' with yourself.
Christianity EtcRe: The (so Called) Deleted Books Of The Bible by AKO1(m): 1:13pm On Apr 25, 2008
The following emboldened adjectives are used to describe the word of God in the bible:
Ps 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right;
Tit 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught,
Ps 119:160 ¶ Thy word is true from the beginning
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Joh 17:17 ¶ Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

None of these adjectives is synonymous with contradiction.

2Co 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
This obviously connotes that the word of God is not corrupt, or contradictory.

Also,
Nu 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

If two things contradict, obviously one or both of them is wrong, or lying. So if God cannot lie, His words cannot lie or contradict itself.
Like I said, if the problem is understanding, it's okay to ask God for it, He wont mind. But just because it looks contradictory to us does not make it contradictory. Again, I refer you to the virgin's conception and the empty grave. Makes sense, does it? I dont think so.

I hope you are content cause I'm not in the mood to continue this and am very unlikely to.
Christianity EtcRe: The (so Called) Deleted Books Of The Bible by AKO1(m): 11:19am On Apr 25, 2008
imhotep:
More dogma?
Bros you hav'nt said anything. I am dogmatic enough to believe that God CANNOT contradict Hmself because He is not DUMB. Everything He does does not have to make sense to us anyway; and sometimes everything people do does not have to make sense to others. The fact that it does not make sense does not make it wrong.

Abraham for instance, must have looked like a dogmatic slowpoke when he went about telling people that His 90yr old wife was going to have a baby, that his 100yr old self would be the father of many nations, without a child at the time. It didn't make sense when Noah was building the ark and those who chose not to believe paid dearly for it. It doesnt make sense for a virgin to conceive, neither does it make sense for a used tomb to be empty.

Cheer up bro, because the scriptures look contradictory does not make God wrong, and does not make His words wrong. I'm dogmatic enough to believe this particular fact with all my heart.

@A_K_O and Jesoul

My brother and sister, the verses speak for themselves. You guys are making dogmatic statements.
Well, I've just discovered among other things you doubt the integrity and reliability of God Almighty, that he would be so foolish to contradict Himself, that you could have even done a better job than Him im writing the bible. Oh, He was so silly to put 'contradicting' scriptures in the bible. Isn't it? This is not dogmatic, right?

I told you, if you don't understand why they are like that, ask for wisdom. He said He will give you freely. It CERTAINLY cannot be that He contradicts Himself. Like you say, learn to live with it.

@ those it concerns:

It is very very unwise to suggest that GOD ALMIGHTY contradicts Himself in His word. It is blasphemous and it does'nt make Him happy.

It is one thing to admit you don't understand something or that in your opinion, something contradicts itself and pray that God reveals it to you which ever way possible. But to suggest that God contradicts Himself, No No NO!!!!!
