Good evening house. Thank God for what he's doing out here pray that God will favour all those who are still on this missionary journey despite all the odds. For us boot is hanged. Please for those who have booked accommodation on Airbnb before , how did you make payments because it seems as if they accept only credit cards and PayPal. Has any one ever made a booking from Nigeria? Please help a sister its urgent
Last time I went on vacation, I used my Nigeria GTB debit Naira card to make payment on Airbnb.

Hello house and thank you for all the detailed accounts given, its taken days to go through all the threads but the time spent doing so was worth it!

On to my peculiar situation: Currently a FTM planning to birth in the US and still have a valid B1/B2 visa that was issued while I was working outside Nigeria. I am back in Nigeria now by the way.
LO is due early may but visa expires end of may. Can any one advise on the best option for visa application, if to apply with DH (his first time, I have been to the US before) and if to buy a return ticket beyond visa validity?

So please pardon me and my many questions
1.To have LO, do I...:
a. Apply for dropbox - same B1/B2 - and declare medical tourism reason

Thank you my fellow nairalanders!
Someone has answered you already but let me iterate more.

No need to renew your visa if you are going before expiry date because even if you have only one day left and you are in US , you would be stamped in for six month.

My advise for you is just to write letter of change of intent to embassy if the VISA in your hand is not stated for childbirth.

I hope this doesn't happen...... really, I don't pray it happens. Birthing is another revenue channel for USA and I don't think it would take effect anytime soon, just hoping though.
Goodday my people. Please I've read through this thread over and over again and I discovered that budget spreadsheet would also be required as part of the documents to hold to the consulate or embassy, please, will I prepare this myself? What is it really Al about or if possible can I get a sample of it? Please, I need your reply urgently.
Actually, I've googled it and saw quite different things but really could not tell which is which...... For our mamas in the house while have done this before and even our papas who are highly experienced in this, kindly explain what it means, if I'll prepare it myself like a list or even a sample of it, I really don't mind.
Thank you so much as I await your kind reply.
Yes, you will prepare it yourself and if you use a search button on nairaland by typing
budget sheet and navigate to travel you should see many sample that has been dropped here for DO IT YOURSELF PURPOSE.

All the best

Bro everything is not just all about money money money. I will prefer to base in a sane country and have peace of mind than stay in a country where my life and that of my family are in danger.

Think about the sane environment country like Canada will offer you. Think about the life of Op children which supersede money.

As far as he is with his permanent resident visa, he needs no soothe sayer to tell him to stay back in Nigeria. Couple with the fact that he will also get his citizenship in five years time after arrival, is enough reason to make such move.
@Bolded, no where is safe in this world. Last two weeks, a boy named Timothy oyebola was killed by bullet in NYC when I was on vacations. This will not be on their news. Also, like 4 to 5 girls are missing in the same NYC.

@OP, please follow your mind. I have been to most part of these countries and the standard of living is good but if you have good thing you are doing in Nigeria I don’t see any reason for you to relocate.

To anyone that care to listen:
Nigeria is not a shithole. If you call Nigeria a shithole so shall it be for you and the rest of your family still living in the country. Stop the negativity. Our leaders are bad!!! we all know that but your negativity would not heal the country either.

Very long Journey. I recently flew Emirate to Los Angeles last week and its 16hrs long and it was hell. Whereas, Turkish airline was a just 12hrs distance to the same location.

Flying too long has a very bad side effect like swollen legs, high blood pressure et al. So I won't even recommend this to my enemy.

ipob loser, den do lie to you.

Osun state has the 2nd lowest poverty rate in Nigeria, unlike your poor ipob villages..
This is the problem with our youth. Believing everything you see online. See, I lived in osun state for more than 29years and I have seen it all. Osun state capital that can’t boast of a stable company apart from CBN which obviously a lot of Osogbo people don’t even know it exist. Abeere for state people and what else. The rest are DMBs, school and Buka. Ilesa has international breweries that was brought back to the Work 10years ago and an Engineering company opposite redeem church apart from that you may go ahead and name some other things I missed. Osun state is a poverty state which 80% of the workforce are teachers that they refused to pay. If you have a business in osun you may not get customer for up to a week because they refused to pay and you claim that people in these situation should still go ahead and vote for APC. Then it is well with them if they still want to continue to suffer. The state is dry as hell.
