Full Pidgin English breakfast : Fried Yam strips + Pan toasted sausages + Tomato & onion sauce Eku gbadu oga Dickson. They've initiated you into the yam strips gang chii8: I'm warming up to make meatpie(Nigerian) for the first time and went to Cocoandy's thread and found out that baking powder is not needed for meatpie. But I was wondering, what gives meatpie, the crispy (a kind of dryiness) feeling? You don't need baking powder for meat pie. The flaky nature is due to the way one mixes, the coldness and crumb nature of the dough I think Eulalia: Do people still eat white beans? I heard it more nutritious than the color ones. looks like beads though
Nice. Thanks. I don't know about the "more nutritious" part. I know it is cheaper than the brown ones Liposure: custom made. armyofone: 3 plantain for 200 naira is cheap now
I'm thinking the reason why we say food is expensive is because people tend to eat too much. 1 plantain should be enough for a meal. What do you think? It ain't cheap. Two of the plantains were 80% rotten. 1 plantain is enough as side dish not as mean this....I don't know how others view this though |

RickTisci: lunch...come and eat. Eku enjoyment! When plating, don't use flat plate for your stew or soup (most especially if it's runny). You'd have used a small deep plate to put the stew or just place on the rice. Pass me one of those meat. Only you day chop full chicken (egg) and 2 meat huh? |

By the orderofthe Peaky blinders Thanks. Yes I did. It was my favourite alongside English, Economics and Biology aeion: Yes; I can wear size 8 or 10 jeans comfortably, depending on the cut, albeit these aren't my size. I love jeans but I used to find shopping for them tasking, as it seemed most were catered towards tiny frames. I could barely pull them up my thighs let alone my behind while trying them on, but thankfully I know where to shop for jeans that are true-to-size now.

cococandy: Yes you can. I just think the wet pap is fresher and tastes better.
Thanks Thanks. I'll try it with my corn flour and give you feedback VeeVeeMyLuv: if you are designing anything or making presentation for aesthetic appeal it is advisable to use odd number patterns instead even numbers.
Odd number designs are naturally appealing to the human eyes. Check Toyota logo for example to confirm what am talking about.
Gnocchi is an Italian pasta. Thanks for the tips Mariangeles: The recipe happened by accident. I stored flour and some yaji spice in one airtight container, by the time I was ready to use the flour, it had absorbed the aroma of the yaji . I used it to make puff-puff, it smell and tasted really really nice, and so I thought "the next time I'm going to make puff-puff, I'll deliberately add yaji spice to it. Surprisingly, the flour that absorbed the yaji had a more intense flavour than the one I added yaji to. Maybe 'cause I was being too careful not to add to much to make it overpowering. Interesting! Na to go beg Mai Suya for yaji o. I will try this one day! pocohantas: Akposy, do you share them? Really nice bread o. I need to learn baking. Initially, I do share with my neighbors but now...I eat alone o |

Mariangeles: I came up with a new puff-puff recipe, then I made it and it was a YaY! I call it Yaji-puffs
I went easy on the sugar to make it more savoury than sweet, and the flavour of the yaji was on point. I wish I could taste this. The thought of yaji in it is making me crave for it |

For Coco, she really know how to cook and present also. I don't like quoting her most times, because her reply is like TV series that have episodes.
For real, one day you will claim the title, just do it with love.
Whenever I see you, I'll take does materials you always put under your plate(backdrop)
Respect my Princess cococandy: I found corn flour in the store and made pap. Didn’t realize how much I missed it . But I can testify that fresh pap is much better. However this was sufficient to curb the craving. Had it with akara and bread. I don't get you. Do you mean I can't make corn flour to form white pap? Your table looks divine! BoleAndFish: I think I'll learn how to make bread. This looks good. Yeah. Bread making ain't hard. Thanks |

Goose/Goldenberries have small, edible and blendable seeds; much like tomato seeds. Perhaps the ones in Nigeria are a different variety. Okay. The ones I bought had big seeds with a sour taste Prestonn: I was somewhere in the Bush camping Thanks Bro.
