Is that boiled egg? Beans with Boiled egg? shocked
Yes.
Like someone said up there. There aren't any rule that prohibit beans and egg. After all we buy rice, beans and egg...we eat together grin

You should try it. Fry the boiled egg with the beans sauce and mix together

Munzy14:
In the business move to monetize your pastry skills to produce snacks. Consider the concepts in economics;

1. what to produce.

2. whom to produce for

3. Where to produce.

For this case, you know what to produce. Now whom to produce for; Students cluster off campus is huge market especially those small shops around there.

Secondary school areas. You can have an out let or sub distribution by proxy using smaller shops around these areas.

you will also, supply restaurants and bars that demands for small chops.

Where to produce is another aspect, this has to do with proximity of your products to your target customers. You can produce from home and supply early morning or late evening against next day morning sales.

You can also advertise your new business via watsapp, facebook, instagram, twitter etc... and other means to people around u. Where you can be contracted to produce for occasions like birthday party, graduation ceremony, weddings and other get together etc....

Also, small provisions shops, super markets within your area are targets for a daily supply of your products.

Make your product affordable for everyone.

Ensure you have records and document all your expenses during production. So you can know how much you spent and how to work out price for sales of your product.

See the actual calculation.

lets say you spent 5000naira to produce 75 fish rolls.
for you to calculate what price to tag the produce;
#5000 / 0.7 = #7142.857.

Your gain should be 7142.857 - 5000 = #2142.857

To know the price tag: #7142.857/75fish rolls = #95 naira.

Never despise your little beginning.

cc Akposy the biz tips as promised.
Thanks boss. I will try and start somewhere with this. It ain't easy though.

I appreciate

Growing up as an only child, everything I ever wanted was at my beck and call as long as I behaved despite my mum's effort to teach me the ways of independency, my dad's toxic masculinity would always object as "a man had no business in the kitchen", I got so used to being pampered that I became useless to myself (kitchenwise i.e). Now, I got a job and it's a job that gives me more time to myself, i'm just getting into this whole bachelor thing (I hope I get it right though) and now I reflect to the teachings of my mother.
I've been a spectator on this thread for a while but looking at the meals made by my fellow men like blueraydick and akposy made me step up, big ups to you man. I've been ordering and eating out ever since so I decided to try something new for breakfast today, I wanted to whip up some fluffy pancakes and bean pudding (moin moin) and scrambled eggs to be eaten with a custard tart, downloaded the recipe off the internet and boy did I make a mess.
Just look at the disaster called pancake (first attempt) that I tried to make.... At least my custard, moin moin and scrambled eggs(both are first attempt) turned out ok but i'm so ashamed of myself. I called my mum and showed her what I made, she laughed to the point she couldn't laugh no more. I deserve and need the criticism so that I can better myself, please feel free to point out my flaws and tbh, I enjoyed cooking and I want to cook more

P. S: it's my first food post, at least whilst critical, abeg show me some love.... At least I wan step up
grin grin Permit me to laugh small jare. Your pancakes are funny o. What did you do?

However, I started like this year's back (as a child). Every trial was a lesson, every lesson was an elevation. Don't give up Bros. Before you know it ehn, you'll do culinary exploits. Shame your shame bros

Also, get a non-stick pan. You can PM me for a non-fail pancake recipe

Thanks for saying No to toxic masculinity. Na man you be. Happy kitchen adventure!

I've been too lazy to post.
I doubled the recipe because of the number of peeps at home.

This was how mine turned out

Pics
1. Coconut milk and shredded coconut
2. Activated yeast
3. Added the egg(s) to the activated yeast.
4. Added the dry ingredients with the shredded coconut.

While kneading, my though was sticky and I kept adding flour and I got scared at a point if the bread will come out hard so I decided to bake like that.

Rolling was difficult hence it's looking shapeless.
I'm so happy you tried this.

One mistake most bakers/beginner bakers make is adding excess flour while kneading. Excess flour will alter the recipe. Just knead with little flour...knead with the base of your palms (the side closer to your wrist).

Alternatively, you can oil your hands well and work with it. After minutes of kneading, the gluten will form and the dough will come out less sticky, elastic and smooth.

Well done
