Correct guy. I have one major disadvantage as I don't have an agbero broker. I try to anticipate and buy early but hopefully near the lowest price of the day when the price is still falling. If the price spikes on Monday and the stock goes on bid, na story my ajebo broker go dey talk  grin grin

Fellas who own niwicable for short term trading,(what is that anyway?)

it looks like a resistance level is forming at around N13 and may even drop.

it opened higher today at N13.84 but the bears dragged it back down to N13 thus closing lower than yesteerday's close. all this on the back of high volumes today.

if u are not in for the long haul u might want to consider ur position as of today or monday.

pumping777:
I can't recall who brought up the issue of Japaul.

Like I suspected, the fall of Japaul has been halted and it spiked 5% today after some gains yesterday as well. This is an opportunity for you to test your greed level again. I asked that you wait for another short bull run to sell. Are you ready to sell tomorrow? You would have cut your losses or increased your gain especially if you try to sell at the high for tomorrow. If you decide to wait to see where it gets, hmm, note that it can come down again.

At around N12, Japaul was too obvious a CICO stock. I could not resist it.  grin grin

Happy investing.
was it here i mentioned that i thought japaul would rise again soon after it did a dragonfly doji yesterday or was i mumbling to myself again. must be. anyway it has risen as expected. ride it whilst u can and enjoy it

Daddy Napolean,

I no qualify to be your 2nd born sef. By the time wey you get your first pikin I no sur say my mama don meet my papa. This web/internet sef. Anyway I throw way my own greeting and maximum respect. Just the thought that you could be older than my Dad makes me shudder and my Papa don work retire since.

BTW
Latest information on The AlphaBets Company (for those that were in on the discussion last week) I had earlier said that the board would sit this week that we are in and the last gist emanating from there is that there will be a bonus issue this year. Secondly Fidelity Bank is set on increasing their stake and have since started doing that so expect to see increasing volumes on a daily basis. Lastly the PO issue was still left undecided till the next meeting before the AGM but it is more likely that it will happen
.

As with all quotes these days here I have to empty the cavity.
are u referring to ABC by any chance?

@

Abu Maryam

is APT securities meeting  your needs or treating you the way you would like? I do not think they are very serious, they cater for a lot of agege hausawa. How long have you been with them?

you need to use an efficient broker. Consider www.tiddosecuritiesltd.com  www.finmalfinance.net or www.newdevco.com

Finmal are good, they are quiet but discering wealthy arewa use them. Check out the board. Kin gane ko?

I dot believe in all those large brokers that have thousands of clients and a fancy website. The more you look the less you see. Any firm that has thousands of clients and fifty staff or less should worry you. How efficient can they really be. You need to be able to be talking to the MD and the actual trader and if necessay text/call him during trading. I do not believe in all this account officer waste of time, that does not trade or understand your objectives.

Does anybody know if these guys are serious http://www.piconigeria.com there is something quietly happening but I have no previous information on the company until two weeks ago and I do not know any of their board members so I personally am not interested. I suspect they are small time contractors.

MBC bank was absorbed by First bank. Their stockbrokers which was an affiliation is doing a quiet placement, however listing may not be a soon as you would expect. www.mbcsec.com their Chairman is a sound guy.

I will not bother mentioning what I feel may be out of reach to newer investors, over N100m to enter or very restricted.

@ Blueband we come from a culture of respect. My first born came in 1971 so let your youth not lead you to give your elder a hand shake that will pass the elbow.

Did any Londonites go to the waste of time at the institute of directors yesterday? The MD of Interswitch said his company had been inundated with calls from a forum demamnding pp. That will not make them release documents faster, as you know most comps raise funds ast different levels of placement. Tomorrow 3pm at trader vicks there will be a small late lunch discussing some telecom companies that are planning more quiet goodies this year, two MD will be there.

Will log in tuesday. Where is Wanaj0 I did not see him online today
elder Napoleon. as usual, full of insights.

could u expantiate more on the brokers u identified as possible candidates for nairalanders to look at? ie what is their opening balance for example and how long they take to execute orders.

would u classify them as ajebo brokers or are they of the agbero ilk?

@yodi

if u can girl get more of UBA and FBN. oceanic can't hold a candle to them. it would come in a distant 3rd or 4th or even 5th on my list personally.

chei, i'm just seeing the price list for today. All of una wey get tripple g, I hope you sold o, because I remember sounding a warning here like 2 days ago. Don't come and cry on here if you see your spreadsheet profit disappearing, because na me go first say "told ya so" grin. Same applies to afprint and livestock holders. at this rate sef, I suppose dey collect tax for making the right call on sale warnings  cheesy

Oya o, eyin dunlop-ites, make una begin ready o. If you know you're not in for the long haul, prepare to parachute now and re-enter later. From the looks of things, it might take a dive sooner than later. Looks like there was selling pressure today. Same applies to ABC, but me na medium haul I dey for that one and I doubt seriously that it will fall by more than 10% if at all it does -- won't be worth cico if it doesn't fall by more than 10%. My opinion though, plus caveat empty, temptress, etc etc well well

disclosure: I don't have dunlop, but have loads of ABC  grin
if u believe in oracles, looks like windy got it right again folks. it dipped today on high volume (3rd highest in whole market). it may stagnate around this price but who knows. need to see te candles for today but looks like it was a doji (dragonfly) or at least very close to one. not a good thing especially with high volume. it suggests traders are not sure they want to buy higher than current price and it portends a further likely downturn or more likely stagnation. how long this will last is anyone's guess.

hope this helps the CICO fans. i do not YET own dunlop but watching it closely.

Operation code name: tyre strike
objective: exterminate dunlop
modus operandi: stealth mode
expected outcome: HAMMERRRRRRRRR!

this guy, u must be having a laugh. Me Buy CILeasing at N15.43? in this bear cub infested market? no thanks.

as i told blueband yesterday, the bear cubs are coming out, mother and papa bear are not too far behind. its a good thing from the bear end of things the NSE has a 5% gain/loss moratorium on shares per day cuz some of these fundamentally unsound stock (CILeasing not included but still too expensive for my taste now) would fall like rocks ala livestock and ko. so we have the pleasure of being able to jump out before the prices really hit the basement but even then the selling pressure no go gree ur broker see am sell cuz of the overflow of sellers.

me i no dey do CILeasing at 15.43, no be moving train be that? i dont have a death wish.

on japaul, i haven't seen any allotment document apart from the one posted here. Japaul's fundamentals arent good and i am one of those waiting for a listing to sell off the shares i bought before i was treated for P.Oitis.
'@MECATCHA

see what i wrote on it yesterday above. i couldnt say when there results will be out though, i dont have my spreadsheets in front of me so i am not sure when their end of yr is. i usually just estimate anything from 2weeks -3 months after the end of the quarter or year to get a sense of when the results will be released. anything beyond this time frame then i get suspicious cuz if the results are good they usually dont take that long.

in the NSE the phrase delay is not denial has been battered too many times and very few companies leep to the guidelines of when results should be released and we usually have to go by history and in Japaul's cas, i am not sure what their history suggests

seriously, no one can ever predict the market, it is fickle and is promiscous. ie she is not like a faithful wife, she(the NSE) will leave u at the exact time u think all is going well with ur relationship with her.
For all u know the same UTC could lose 20-30% of its value in the next few weeks, especially if this rise has been manufactured.

Once u've hit a comfortable target, sell and move on, close ur eyes to any further gain, u don chop ur own, that way u defeat that feeling in ur gut called GREED aka the green eyed monster.

well I put in sell order for japaul today kind of fed up of seeing profits go
WELL DONE MAN.

what needs to be done though is with every stock u buy, after doing due diligence to info gathering and research (this takes anything from a few minutes to a day maximum with a good browser and internet connection grin) , then look at the last 1 or 2 support levels and set a stop loss target to accompany the buy order to ur broker.

keep a record of it and keep ur eye on ur money, that way if ur share price goes below that price then sell. also remember to re-evaluate this sell order price cuz u dont want a situation where u bought a stock for N10 and set a stop loss price of N9, then the stock goes on to N15 and ur stop loss mandate is still at N9. if u leave it at this level u will lose all the profit u've made and even go into the red but if u re-evaluate and put a new stoploss mandate at say N12.50 then u still get some profit.

remember this will work best with stock u plan to trade with and not with those u want in ur long term portfolio.

chei! i need to take my own advise sometimes sha. i for don clean out on NGC and CILeasing too ut sha i did get cutix and took out some profit to get NASCON.
