pumping777:aaah. i see where u are coming from. i am in the same boat. well done any more charts u'd like just holla |
ON UNIC by the way pumping u are big cahonnes to go for this in the short term one u know. admirable. what time frame are u looking at?
|
PUMPING, I am sure u've looked at the chart but i thot i'd post it here for the others. on MBENEFIT. unic will follow
|
FIRSTINLND: AND THOMAS WYATT LIFTED FROM SUSPENSION TODAY THE EXCHANGE LIFTED TECHNICAL SUSPENSION ON FIRST INLAND BANK AND THOMAS WYATT. from trw |
Fellas who own niwicable for short term trading,(what is that anyway?) it looks like a resistance level is forming at around N13 and may even drop. it opened higher today at N13.84 but the bears dragged it back down to N13 thus closing lower than yesteerday's close. all this on the back of high volumes today. if u are not in for the long haul u might want to consider ur position as of today or monday. |
JAPAUL
|
pumping777:was it here i mentioned that i thought japaul would rise again soon after it did a dragonfly doji yesterday or was i mumbling to myself again. must be. anyway it has risen as expected. ride it whilst u can and enjoy it |
grabdaloot:are u referring to ABC by any chance? |
yodiyokun:u no dey lie at all. its good to see isnt it. elder napoleon, if i turn out like u have, i wouldnt have done badly at all money and investing wise that is ![]() |
Napolean:elder Napoleon. as usual, full of insights. could u expantiate more on the brokers u identified as possible candidates for nairalanders to look at? ie what is their opening balance for example and how long they take to execute orders. would u classify them as ajebo brokers or are they of the agbero ilk? @yodi if u can girl get more of UBA and FBN. oceanic can't hold a candle to them. it would come in a distant 3rd or 4th or even 5th on my list personally. disclosure: i own all 3 shares |
Statistics As At Friday, March 7, 2008 Open Price 28.50 High Price 29.40 Low Price 28.40 Close Price 28.40 Avg. Net Chg. 1.10 Close Net Chg. 0.40 this is from the NSE website. rubbish. does any one hav ethe pricelist downloaded from the NSE official list for the day yet? |
blueband:INTERESTING SIGNATURE MAN. |
windywendy:if u believe in oracles, looks like windy got it right again folks. it dipped today on high volume (3rd highest in whole market). it may stagnate around this price but who knows. need to see te candles for today but looks like it was a doji (dragonfly) or at least very close to one. not a good thing especially with high volume. it suggests traders are not sure they want to buy higher than current price and it portends a further likely downturn or more likely stagnation. how long this will last is anyone's guess. hope this helps the CICO fans. i do not YET own dunlop but watching it closely. Operation code name: tyre strike objective: exterminate dunlop modus operandi: stealth mode expected outcome: HAMMERRRRRRRRR! |
samstone4:GODFATHER! DON ![]() T hey don't know who they're messing with. soon they will say hello to ur little friend! (scarface )@ pumping what are u waiting for, hit them hard, hit them quick! leave nothing standing. Pump action. should u need a topgun just holla. |
Abu-Maryam: ![]() this guy, u must be having a laugh. Me Buy CILeasing at N15.43? in this bear cub infested market? no thanks. as i told blueband yesterday, the bear cubs are coming out, mother and papa bear are not too far behind. its a good thing from the bear end of things the NSE has a 5% gain/loss moratorium on shares per day cuz some of these fundamentally unsound stock (CILeasing not included but still too expensive for my taste now) would fall like rocks ala livestock and ko. so we have the pleasure of being able to jump out before the prices really hit the basement but even then the selling pressure no go gree ur broker see am sell cuz of the overflow of sellers. me i no dey do CILeasing at 15.43, no be moving train be that? i dont have a death wish. so Abu, u no like me at all at all. wetin i do u now? ![]() |
dunlop. All caveats apply. i read it as the charts say it thats all
|
@faketan sorry man, i know nothing about bank PHB. i haven't heard anything either but will share once & if i do ![]() |
beginner:winch!! ![]() are u sure u won't consider changing ur name from beginner? u sure don't sound like one ![]() anyway. we all have investment objectives (i hope) and that should help guide our decisions. each to his own. the fellas who have sold their fundametally sound shares are no fools at all, they have been around the block a few times but ur line of thinking is quite plausible too. As i said earlier, the NSE is ever so unfaithful and unforgiving at that. |
RoughCut: Champions baby!!@faketan respect to who? pretenders to the United throne. Never!! |
easimoni:i already have such a hole in my wall ![]() what the ![]() and this is the same company thta has been rising since the beginning of the year. pat dropping almost 1000% could that be real. as that rough arse supporter would say " NSE we hail thee". this one will drop like a rock but then again na NSE be this o. i wouldnt be surprised if it rose ![]() |
Naijadr:i am sure u have worked out the other part of the equation as well. ie where am i going to put all this dosh from my sale? ![]() |
crazyT: ![]() i wa shtere when the treaty of CICO was signed on nairaland but i no append my signature sha. i was there as an observer. ![]() but i thought when i read the treaty document it said in the fine print that when u reach ur target exit. abi was i reading another treaty? As we say in psych, when u enter a room to interview a patient, always identify ur exit points on entry. same applies to the treaty of CICO I guess ![]() enjoy ur loot and BTW no self respecting united fan would buy UTC from u. i would suggest an auction at that polo field, u know the one called the emirates ![]() |
dejavoe:thats a new development then cuz up till yesterday it used to open at 10.30 a.m and close at 12.30pm. |
the NSE website says the market has closed for the day. did they start trading early today, anyone know whats up? @ beginner on fidelity, if u believe in reading charts, the price hasn't been trending much in the last couple of months but the indicators interestingly are not looking bad re: RSI, MACD and MACD Histogram. it may still see some upside dare i say. (u are looking to reach ur exit point abi? ) |
mastermove:u see what i mean. i am sure u have learnt and that is why u are wanting to sell now. some rich guy (very rich guy) once said he never learnt anything from his successes and everything he knows he learnt from his failures. i agree with this even though it sounds extreme. well done. |
aktopgun:'@MECATCHA see what i wrote on it yesterday above. i couldnt say when there results will be out though, i dont have my spreadsheets in front of me so i am not sure when their end of yr is. i usually just estimate anything from 2weeks -3 months after the end of the quarter or year to get a sense of when the results will be released. anything beyond this time frame then i get suspicious cuz if the results are good they usually dont take that long. in the NSE the phrase delay is not denial has been battered too many times and very few companies leep to the guidelines of when results should be released and we usually have to go by history and in Japaul's cas, i am not sure what their history suggests |
crazyT:ojukokoro lo n worry e (na longer throat dey worry u )u obviously didnt set an exit point on a stock i am almost certain u bought for CICO puposes (abi i lie? ).have u noticed it is slowly getting harder to make even the proverbial promised land of 25% lately? the market is overbloated and u are wondering if u should sell after 35% profit post charges? ole ole ole!!! . U know i am only kidding i hope. i dont mean to be disrespectful at all.seriously, no one can ever predict the market, it is fickle and is promiscous. ie she is not like a faithful wife, she(the NSE) will leave u at the exact time u think all is going well with ur relationship with her. For all u know the same UTC could lose 20-30% of its value in the next few weeks, especially if this rise has been manufactured. Once u've hit a comfortable target, sell and move on, close ur eyes to any further gain, u don chop ur own, that way u defeat that feeling in ur gut called GREED aka the green eyed monster. just my opinion though but what do i know. |
mastermove:WELL DONE MAN. what needs to be done though is with every stock u buy, after doing due diligence to info gathering and research (this takes anything from a few minutes to a day maximum with a good browser and internet connection ) , then look at the last 1 or 2 support levels and set a stop loss target to accompany the buy order to ur broker. keep a record of it and keep ur eye on ur money, that way if ur share price goes below that price then sell. also remember to re-evaluate this sell order price cuz u dont want a situation where u bought a stock for N10 and set a stop loss price of N9, then the stock goes on to N15 and ur stop loss mandate is still at N9. if u leave it at this level u will lose all the profit u've made and even go into the red but if u re-evaluate and put a new stoploss mandate at say N12.50 then u still get some profit. remember this will work best with stock u plan to trade with and not with those u want in ur long term portfolio. chei! i need to take my own advise sometimes sha. i for don clean out on NGC and CILeasing too ut sha i did get cutix and took out some profit to get NASCON. happy investing. |
@pumping if the <50,000 units getting full alottment ratio is correct, then i get full allotment which can't be bad can it ![]() |
nkc:why do u htink it wont get to N8? because of what i said? it may get to N8 but the question is when? i dont know how long u hav eto wait for it but if N8 is ur exit price originally, why sell now cuz of some little turbulence? Patience is always a virtue in this and all other investments abi. dont be surprised if any downturn doesnt last more than a few days. lock some in and watch is what i would do |
CI leasing everytime i see this comapny's share price i cringe. it pains me too much. it is on its 5th cycle since mid november 07 and has no signs of stopping. A stock i looked into but was able to talk myself out of it at N5. shows u what i know doesnt it |
@rasputin on ABC ur guess is as good as mine. i believe its windy's baby and my best guess is that its on net bid & is scarce on japaul, i haven't seen any allotment document apart from the one posted here. Japaul's fundamentals arent good and i am one of those waiting for a listing to sell off the shares i bought before i was treated for P.Oitis. |
