got this in response to my query to nigeriansec.co thise guys are good and very prompt, i'm impressed, at this time of night too. Thanks you for the feedback. The green candlesticks represent days that the closing price is higher than the opening, and the red candlesticks represent the days the closing price is below the opening price. We will include a legend in a shortwhile among the enhancements to NS Technical Analyst that will come in our phase 2. Regards NigerianSecurities |
@yodi et al NASCON, already getting out of reach. jack be nimble, jack be quick!!

LondonCool:yep! a black marubozu or in the case of nigeriansecurities.com case. a red marubozu @easimoni ![]() long candlesticks are the Marubozu brothers, red and green. Marubozu do not have upper or lower shadows and the high and low are represented by the open or close. A green Marubozu forms when the open equals the low and the close equals the high. This indicates that buyers controlled the price action from the first trade to the last trade. red Marubozu form when the open equals the high and the close equals the low. This indicates that sellers controlled the price action from the first trade to the last trade. hope its clearer now |
LondonCool:oh, my bad. it was a marubozu brother. no upper or lower candle wicks |
LondonCool:please explain bros. great picture of u by the way. |

LondonCool:Londoncool its not an inverted hammer. it shows sellers were in control. The Hammer is a bullish reversal pattern that forms after a decline. In addition to a potential trend reversal, hammers can mark bottoms or support levels. After a decline, hammers signal a bullish revival. The low of the long lower shadow implies that sellers drove prices lower during the session. However, the strong finish indicates that buyers regained their footing to end the session on a strong note. While this may seem enough to act on, hammers require further bullish confirmation. The low of the hammer shows that plenty of sellers remain. Further buying pressure, and preferably on expanding volume, is needed before acting. Such confirmation could come from a gap up or long white candlestick. Hammers are similar to selling climaxes, and heavy volume can serve to reinforce the validity of the reversal. |
on unic, turbulence ahead. short termers heads up
|
@debenzd ol boy. oceanic is somewhat undecided for now as easimoni pointed out. the candles suggest there are still some sellers around. the rsi is still ok and the macd can go either way. kets give it a day or two shall we |
i got this from nigeriansecurities as a reply to my query. so na ndidi and her people dey cause katakata. nigsec don update their site Thank you for using NigerianSecurities. Your observation may be correct as we have found out that NSE publishes several results during the course of the day. We publish what we get from them as they are the only one that can provide results. However what we do is to however check again and do our updates again 4 hours after trading is done for the day so as to ensure our data is accurate at the end of the day. This is because we can not afford for the integrity of our data to be compromised as it serves as a feed to some of our tools. Be rest assured that at the end of the day , we have whatever it is NSE has published finally for the day. We hope this explanation was helpfull. Regards NigerianSecurities |
shigidi:of course i did, abi didnt i? well fof2, that makes 11 then!! ![]() |
pumping. oh yeah! vitafoam. upswing really close, a day or 2 i think
|
FatherOF2: ![]() this man u no kill me, i dey cry with laughter so! |
fof2 10 long term stock: 1. intercontinental 2. fbn 3. uba 4. oceanic 5. unilever 6. crusader 7. unic 8. aiico 9. Dangote sugar 10.flourmills make i continue ? ![]() |
FatherOF2:baba ibeji, u sef, u no dey read thread. i don talk am say i no be short term player, i just dey answer questions oh ![]() i don talk am yesterday say i dey overbought already and yes i buy fidelity P.O that na why i even look their side. so u sef dey see diamond bank abi, well done. i get tht one too. i get elephant too and the hyena ie uba ![]() investing is long term jo ![]() |
dollyp1cute: oracle ko, deity ni. ![]() fidelity looks good for another few days i think. |
sweetcheek:girl, i don't do short term but i think fof2 may be able to help. abi baba ibeji? ![]() intenegins is due to break out positive i think, but no quote me oh. i dont follow the company, just reading a graph!! ![]() |
@sweetcheeks (love the name) ![]() short term: if u are a buyer of ABCTrans, wait a bit more, it looks like its going south and still has more descending to do if u are a seller then what exactly u dey wait for, u no dey hear fire alarm? . |
@easi dunlop's uptrend is coming down, it has done well as shown from ur chart but if u look at the right side of the main graph, dips are showing. also see from the macd histogram thats showing decresing positivity. this wave of increase in price is slowing definitely i think but if one is in for the long haul flight then by all means, enjoy! |
crazyT:@crazyT are u entering juli for the long term or CICO? if it is the later then u may want to put that wedding on hold for now, the price is too high now and a drop is coming in a week or so, maybe more, maybe less. if u enter at today's price u may not meet the 20-25% profit margin soon. but if u are in it for longer than CICO then carry go! don't have easi's chart at hand on the fundamentals but i trust u don do ur homework finish patapata ![]() |
@ty. i was answering ur post on dunlop by the way |
@TY ADEMOLU omo from the charts i dey look the fall is likely to continue o! here's how i see it, but i could be wrong ![]() rsi- trending down now even though still above 70-line macd histogram (earliest sign giver for me) is trnding down macd trending down candlesticks show sellers dominated now 2 days in a row, and today ran the whole show from start to finish if u believe in gap theory (still learning this one), the opening price today was lower than opening price yesterday, the decision is still urs, u can stick it out if u are in dunlop long term but if u are a trader, u may want to cut ur losses. |
Gudchoice:shine ur eye bros. it was marked down today as pumping don dey talk since 12a.m this morning |
chei chei chei! una dey see wetin we dey talk so, trw, nigsec, ndidi's pa all have varying info on price, trade, value. which kin thing be dis sef, cant the NSE get this right? and when we talk dem go say make we no complain ![]() the price is the bottom line after all! rant , rant , rant! |
diamond upswing isnt too far u know, watching it closely too. |
@oxfordkid i'll leave easi to fill u in on deapcap and the goings on there. from the tech side, seems some turbulence up ahead. @dollycute girl, really its not too difficult, just time consuming but when u consider its money involved, well u know now. just concentrate on 3 or 4 indicators and master them, u cant use them all, and u wouldnt want to any way. i favor the macd (simple and reliable), the macd histogram, rsi, and ema and of course the candles. invaluable information. add it to the fundamentals and u have a winner, long and short periods |
dollyp1cute:i don't see it dropping below N28 if it indeed does drop further. N26 is unlikely but in our NSE never say never! @Pumping, enjoy ur loot. ditto to fof2 i hear the sound of abundance of rain, no its the elephnant in the jungle, king over all!! ![]() |
E be like say oceanic is stagnating a bit for the short term traders, charts suggest it could go either way from the look of it. . for us long term players hold on, we are coming into some turbulence, oxygen masks are above ur seats. |
aktopgun:to the list now. 1. fidelity - gained 2. fbn - gained (sweet )3. flourmills - no change 4. ikeja hotels - no change today 5. intercontinental - dropped small 6. japauloil - gained 7. nigerian german - gained 8. okitipupa - don't know yet. trw didnt report it, anyone know? others mentioned: crusader - lost as expected cornerstone - lost as expected abc trans - lost as expected continental insurance - dropped small. intenegins - gained as expected and the week goes on. chei, how long can i keep this up for. now i see why i dont have the time for trading, na full time work o!! ![]() |
tiwantiwa:i will do my best once i am done with my day job, its a busy day today. |
samstone4: . bros, i do my job excellently and i'm very good at what i do. My work is based in the community and u will not find me lagging behind in my responsibilites. i'm early to work (sometimes up to an hour early, at least 30mins early DAILY) AND ONE OF THE LAST TO LEAVE. I see all my patients either at their homes, (yes i go to their houses 2 days a week) or they come to me in my clinic 2 days a week. i hold down 2 completely different roles in psychiatry and have done for 2 years now. u wont find me skyving trust me. there are always less busy periods. its winter now so i have mostly depressed patients but the psychotic one salso need monitoring too but somewhat less. wait till summer. we use an internet based computer system in my trust thats city wide and so we have to be online always. . dont worry na because its not busy yet. once it becomes busy very soon una no go see my breaklight! |
