thanks naijadr. hope the practice is going well. what field are u in anyway? do u have any results or figures on them i could have pls |
i will go for it once the bull frenzy cools , around christmas probably. Just hope it will be more affordable then. anyone know when the year end for Nig german cchemicals is? |
fellas, i see nig german chemical is knocking up seriuos dosh on the exchange in the last 11 days have to admit i turned a deaf ear to all the noise about them they are 1 0f 2 in their sector as far as i see and therefore won't have much competition really. they do have sustained profitability from my research and have good variables i wonder if its too late to get on this candy train , FOR THE LONG TERM OF COURSE. WHAT SAY U FELLAS? |
it does look tasty i have to admit especially short term but not for me just yet i don't think. will close my eyes to it for now |
temmie10 point taken. i don't own Access for the reasons i stated earlier plus the better options as u said i does look tasty though! |
Temmie10, have a look at their figures and tell me what you think http://www.accessbankplc.com/subminor.cfm?id=139 http://www.accessbankplc.com/graphical.cfm?id=140 |
temmie10, comparing it with the other players in its sector its still really a newby but the young shall grow i am just a bit concerned cuz my sources tell me AIG is quite aggressively in pursuit of the share price going up no matter how. for me this is a worry with all the shall we say shady practices of our banking institutions so do u think that the investors suddenly became savvy to these numbers that have been in the public domain for so long? i doubt it i smell a rat but maybe i'm just being overly cautious with Access, they definitely have head room to grow |
Access on the move again fellas, fundamentals not great, so why , oh why?? gained 4.98% again today well this horse seems to have finally bolted or is about to anyway me thinks the brothers with this stock are set to clean out or is it all smokescreens and mirrors from AIG? thoughts, ideas, comments fellas? |

GTB'S results are fair but fall short of expectations. they now have to double efforts to meet their full year forecasts price will not appreciate much i don't think, with this below expectation results |
@naijadr i spoke about this when the issue about MTN's offer came up. unfortunately as good as the idea is and the friendships that have obviously begun on this forum, the brothers have a really hard time trusting each other. its a shame really but completely understandable. there are many root causes but here isn't the place to go into that let's see how much we can make individually ![]() T.E.A.M - Together Everyone Achieves More lets make some money I'M managing to hold on to my crusader as temmie10 and bros wanajo rightly stated, DON'T PANIC, as long as the fundamentals remain the same enough said |
i would be up for it jehoshaphat i wonder what our fellow nairalanders think about it though the issue of mutual trust comes to play u know. I trust the fellas on this forum but the question is do they trust me or u ? lets wait and see about the PP when more info is available |
temmie i take ur point on japaul |
thats right temmie10 i just thought it interesting that such well established companies would stake their reputations as it were on Japaul its a profitable company no doubt but N4b, that seems a lot even as arequirement but u take ur point |
by the way, just found this and thought i'd share it wonder what u'all think First Inland, FutureView commit N4bn to Japaul’s offer By Goddy Egene | 18 September 2007 First Inland Bank Plc and FutureView Financial Services Limited have committed N4bn to the forthcoming public share offering and Rights Issue of Japaul Maritime and Oil Services Plc. Japaul is the only company which provides oil and maritime services that is listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. It provides offshore oilfield vessels, dredging activities in oilfields/locations, pipeline construction in swamps, maritime logistics and other maritime services. In order to boost its operations, the company will from September 24, 2007 offer about 1.007billion shares for public subscription at N3.95 per share and 291.549million shares at N3.50 to existing shareholders as Rights Issue. The company is expecting gross proceeds of N5bn from the offer. However, First Inland Bank and Future View Financial Services, which are the joint issuing houses, have agreed to provide N4bn in form of firm underwriting. Although the N4bn will only be provided if the offers fail, the Managing Director/Chief Executive of First Inland Bank, Mr. Okey Nwosu, said "We have implicit confidence in the management and board of Japaul. That is why we have undertaken to be joint issuing house to the offer and have gone a step further to underwrite a significant portion of the offer." According to him, the company has had a good track record since becoming quoted in 2005, paying dividend and bonus shares. He said that the company operates in a sector that is a key driver of the nation’s economy, saying "We are certain that the offer will be massively oversubscribed." Speaking in the same vein, at the completion board meeting held in Lagos Friday, the Managing Director of Future View, Mrs. Elizabeth Ebi, said that Japaul was throwing open its doors of prosperity to investors to take come and become part of a bright future. According to her, Japaul is the only oil service company listed on the NSE because the company is bold enough, magnanimous enough to share its wealth with other investors. "This is an opportunity to existing shareholders to increase their stake and for new investors to buy into the only oil/maritime services company listed on the NSE," Ebi said. |
$2 million is a bit steep for individuals but could be done as a collective. any takers? wanajo, can u reveal ur source or would you rather not? can u say how believable it is though |
As any stock investor knows, one should be in this for the long term and Temmie10 just reminded me of that. thank you fro that i go back to why i bought crusader in the first place, its been around for a while and though nothing like the banks, its fundamentals aren't bad these results are just a bit disappointing man!!! i had hopes they would reach good results and end up in the N6 range but so much for that, at least for the next few weeks to 1st Q '08. as temmie10 rightly reminded us, lets keep our eye in the longer term if we have the liver for it! the bulls have it for now ikeja hotels is gone, AIICO P.O is to come, Zenith is at the door, we wait and watch, sharpening our knives |
with these results i wonder how successful those POs will be and if ther will be the usual bull run post TS for these volatile coys i just wonder about them u know fundamentally untested i think wonder what the broker will say tomorrow when i tell him my decision to sell crusader after a 10% gain |
anyone talked to their brokers yet about these absurd results from crusader plc? what do they think will happen to the share price now, lke i don't know already ![]() could they offer any explanations for it? |
@pumping custodian and who? i hope u see my point i think for now fellas, we should leave those insurance coys to their own devices and see them again in '08, if they have their act together that is what say u? |
@PUMPING ![]() my brother with this NSE, i don't blame you at all!!! i've asked my broker to come up with a list of companies outside the banking sector with good fundamentals for fiscal year beginning 1Q 2008 ![]() |
anyone got any ideas or do we just sit on cash till 1q 2008? |
anyone got any figures on thomas wyatt (do people even know thay are quoted on the NSE? ) |
Not in it for the long haul then easimoni? i might join u need to sleep on it though i honestly can't believe it, after all the effort as u said, wetin person go come buy now seeing the bulls are in town u won't believe i was actually looking at someone like thomas wyatt today, a turn around since moorehouse took over |
still searching but no joy yet fellas NOTHING!! anyone got better luck with digging? |
@yodiyokun they would be daft to do that seeing that they've only recently gone on their first bull run for a while it would be stock market suicide to do that but this confusion doesn't help them one bit i'll tell u that the soner we can see if we can clear this confusion up the better for them cuz the fear of nairaland ivestors is the begininnig of wisdom really ![]() |
I AGREE PUMPING BUT IF THERE WERE SUCH A LARGE CLAIM WE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE GOT WHIFF OF IT or am i blowing smoke? |
sorry if there half year was 593.2 and just suppose this is a 3rd Q result at 576M THAT WOULD MEAN THEY ARE LOSING MONEY WOULDN'T IT ![]() ![]() |
thanks pumping so their half year was just 400,000 less than 4th Q results ![]() ? |
apart from nsepro.com, anyone else report these results then? there seems to be a mistake re: the dating from bro pumpings' post above we hope this is just an error or i will be jumping ship on this company big time interstingly TRW stock brokers (my brokers ) have a bullish view of itwho listens to them anyway |
hold on bros easimoni we need to ensure we have our figures and time scales right isn't crusader year end dec.? could any of the fellas who get daily reports check this for us pls |
if this is as we think a 3rd quarter result, do we really see crusader making another 500M in the last quarter? (unless their share of that money recently released to ins coys is up to or more than that). this is not encouraging in the least fellas |
