Life itself is not fair. Suffering and pain is part of human existence.

You are in a dilema any action you take now you will still end up hurting someone.

If you report: you are going to put your co-workers and their family in trouble, they will lose their job and they will also go to jail if not for life.

If you choose not to report you will be harming the md and she might lose her business.

either ways you are going to hurt people.

And as such i will advice you to focus on yourself and mind your business.

You are not a trustworthy person.
I pray in my life time may I not be unfortunate enough to trust someone like you or have someone like you as a friend.

@op let your conscience lead you.
If truly you are a Godly person do the right thing and leave the rest to God.

Absolutely! members of the public, customers and your employers will respect you, take you serious and be very proffessional with you.

Once you start expecting meagre cash gifts, begging and bowing down for every dick, john and harry, licking every ass. that's it. You are no more a security personnel, might aswel start washing dishes, cooking and cleaning for your employer. cheesy

True.
People will address/treat you base on how you present yourself to them,

Absolutely! your etiquete and class matters alot in a security job, if you go about carrying hand bags, holding umbrellas or opening door, running unnercerssary errand for your employers then you have just turned yourself to a pleb.

That's what most people don't understand.
As I security personnel you must have self worth and dignity else people will insult you.

Doing eyes service, begging and going for errands because of 200/500 naira change was a very big No No for me back then.

I first gave myself some level of respect And dignity before expecting anyone else to respect me. Funny enough my self confidence and dignity is what attractted the person that gave me my first Big major opportunity that pave the way for who I am Today.

If You've Done This Job Before, Pls Tell Me Your Experience Too

This my thread is just mainly for single men and guys outside there and I would like to share my experience with you guys on what I have undergone and experienced as a Security guard.

To be a security guard is not a job I can advise my enemy to opt for let alone my friend or relation. The job is a regardless one and very disgusting.

As a security guard, you are more or less a beggar in the street, should I say beggar has a little regard more than you.

When people see you, they see nothing in you. Most especially when you're trying to speak to them in English making them to know that you're educated...(laugh..) You just did it wrong, to them it means you are having mental problem.

The image impression of 98% of people on guys who do this job to hustle for their lives rather than involving in criminal practices is that they have no future; is that they cannot make it in their lives; e.t.c.

Since I've started this job when I finished my program in the polytechnic, any lady I made to know about the job I do turns me off later, some said it's a beggars' work.

And currently, I hardly have female friends not to talk of girlfriends or marriage.

Though, I didn't mean to start this job before if not condition, but now I'm planning to quit the job and find another.

Sometimes, I cried in my room, begging God to show me another way.

One of the workers in the place of work that I'm guiding once told me that his dog is better off than me. This is even the person that cannot even compose simple correct English, he said his dog is better than me.

Your experience too is allowed... Thank you.

I once worked as I security guard in one of those oil companies in port harcourt. The salary was manageable (70k) 15 days on 15 days off. till I stopped that work nobody ever looked down on me because I never gave them the opportunity. My dressing, character, communication and attitude towards the job and people around me is always top notch.

You can not be begging people for money and expect them to respect you. The way you dress and your level of confidence matters a lot.

Instead uniting against our selfish politicians for them to account for our Annual financial Allocations...we are busy fighting ourselves on social media

Tribalism, hypocrisy and religious sentiments has cloud our sense of judgment

This is very very Terrible!

Extremely Terrible.

The most Terrible thing to ever happen to northern Nigeria is the Almajiri system of learning.. Which was leta bastardized...

But at least our leaders are now looking inward and taking effective measures against it...

Poverty in Nigeria is just everywhere the reason why it is more obvious in the north is because of our population...

The north is not that poor...

Some northern states if you check their GPD is higher than many southern states...

The north is badly stereotyped!

Another reason for all these stereotype is those Nigeriens in the south doing shoe maker, selling sugar cane and cutting fingers...

Southerners see all of them as Hausafulanis... Which is making them think that up north is entirely poor!

My Good friend reading this your write up I can feel and understand your pains.

For it is the same kind of pains I feel whenever people see every igbo man as a drug dealer or a potential kidnapper.

The major problem we have in this country is that the masses/ youths have refused to hold our leaders accountable, instead we are fighting ourselves on social media shouting ipob/ Afonja up and down.

The sooner we start asking questions and demanding for accountability and productivity from our leaders without being sentimental about it, things like this and many more will continue to happen.

May God Grant Nigeria youths Wisdom and boldness to demand for their rights.

Or are you insinuating that such massacre is acceptable collateral damage as long as he donates from his shady blood money?

Why don't us allow the security mechanisms we have in this country to investigate and if found guilty persecute him ?

We are many like that in this forum unfortunately we choose to to read comments silently without contributing much.

Most of the tribal bigots in this forum are either emotionally and mentally immature or highly frustrated individuals that are trying extremely hard to be relevant either in social media or in real life.

Please don't take their rants serious and try as best as you can not to bring yourself down to their level of reasoning. Someday we shall overcome.

it's very painful seeing fellow Nigerians celebriting death and misfortunes befalling the north in this critical time...

I have igbo friends here in kano... Truth be told

The igbo friends I have are not tribalistic as the Igbos I do encounter on Nairaland!!

We have thousands of Igbos here some are even citizens...

I used to be surprised by the evil machinations against the north by some elements of Igbos here on Nairaland!!

I never knew they're some other tribes that used to disguise themselves as Igbos to cause nuisance for reasons best known to them

Unfortunately some people don't know when to stop playing politics and tribalism in this forum.

I can assure you in all honesty that majority of igbos in this forum are not tribalistic. Unfortunately our silence in this forum has given some uncultureed elements the guts to be misbehaving thereby giving other tribes the impression that the igbos hate other tribes.

Secondly some people from other tribes because of political reasons have decided to pretend to be igbos just to cause more enormity between the igbo tribe and other major tribes. The give away I did last week in this forum really open my eyes.

Sadly the activities of ipob members are not really helping matters for the reasonable igbos.

Our prayers are with you guys.

Dear arrewa
In my effort to render some fainancal assistance to some people in this forum I have come to realize that some of the people that claim to be igbos in this forum are anything but igbo. One even told me it was just for fun.

I understand your hanger and pains about the death being witness in the North but please note that while we have some frustrated, uncultureed INDIVIDUALS in this forum who seems to rejoice over the death of a person , not all of them are easterners. Some are even pretending to be igbos just to continue to damage the image of the igbos.
Remember we have millions of our igbo relatives living and doing business in the North.

Please don't mistake the antics of some frustrated ipob members as that of the responsible igbos.

When you add up the years (as given by the different genealogies in the bible) you arrive at about six thousand years of age from the earth.

The Bible was talking about the years an event took place and the time it took before another one took place.

For example if the Bible say Jesus was born 10,000 years after Adam was made, Does not mean the earth is 10,000 years old because there was life before Adam.

Science can't give you the EXACT date. The EXACT date is increasing every second, every minute, every month, etc. However, various reliable techniques have demonstrated that the earth is ABOUT 4.3 billion years old. The abrahamic holy books give the earth's age to be about six thousand years.

Martinez39s can you please tell us the chapter and vers in the Bible that said the earth is 6000 years ?

These are the kind of remarks I find entirely annoying. Ignorance will make you guys argue with people that have dedicated their lives researching this field.

The bones you see are called fossils because they were buried/preserved in natural conditions that oxygen couldn't decompose them. In some cases, the fossils were so well preserved that some flesh and their entire body structure were intact.

I don't know..maybe the used the said years of Adam and his descendants and made the conclusion..but you can't get an accurate number even if you wanted to..at a point the lineage to christ was broken (in terms of the age of his progenitors)...because the Jewish people were mandated to keep a record of their family lineage from the time of moses..those records weren't exactly accurate.

Openbusiness:

He said according to BIBLE SCHOLARS, not bible so to speak. Some bible scholars are of the opinion that the earth is about 6,000 years +- old, basing their calculation to like saying Jesus died about 2000 years ago, then trying to work or calculate back the date with the various civilizations that were recorded to have been existing before Jesus came, trying to estimate how long each lasted and push it up all the way to Abraham time etc, but the thing is before Abraham, time frame or references to time passing is vvery sketchy and almost non-existent. And besides even from the Bible it can be deduced that the HUMAN BEINGS OF TODAY ARE NOT THE FIRST OR ONLY HUMANS THAT EVER WALKED OR LIVED ON THIS PLANET. And science also catches a glimpse of this, with their theory of human evolution. So d koko is that there's so much about human history that we are BLANK about, especially the humans that lived in the world during the dinosaur era, or the humans that lived in the world post-Garden of Eden era. And the humans that lived in the world before God made Adam and Eve in a new world. Even this Earth is not the first Earth. So much mystery dey dis life abeg. What we know is infinitesimal small compared to what we don't know. But knowing that God exists is the fundamental proof of intelligence. If you are not even smart enough to figure out that it's true God exists, then such people are the biggest fools in existence.

Thanks a lot .
Because people fail to understand the mysteries and Ultimate Divinity of the supernatural, the conclud and say in their hearts there's no God even when the evidence is to for all to see.

May God forgive us of our unbelieve
