FamilyRe: She's A Grandmother -- At Age 23! by Akuviv: 1:13pm On Mar 09, 2011
A gypsy wife has become the world's youngest grandmother - aged just 23.

Rifca Stanescu, from the village of Investi, Romania, told how she gave birth to her daughter, Maria, while only 13.

Despite her mother's pleas to stay in school, Maria gave birth to son Ion at the age of 11.

Happy family: Rifca Stanescu, left, now 25, gave birth to daughter maria aged just 12. Maria then bore Ion, now two, right, at the age of 11

Rifca, now 25, told the Sun: 'I am happy to be a grandmother but I wished something else for Maria - and something else for me.

'Ion is a good boy - and he is already engaged to a girl aged 8. Boys are always good to have - they don't have to suffer as much girls I think.'

Born in 1985, Rifca defied her family's wishes and ran away with jewellery seller Ionel Stanescu when she was 11 and he was 13.

A year after they were married, Rifca fell pregnant with Maria.

She said: 'I wanted to marry him, so I agreed, and of course after we had spent the night together then there was no way anyone could separate us. I had been promised to another boy's family since I was two years old but I didn't want that.'

In gypsy culture virginity is greatly prized and women are married young so that new husband's can be sure their new wives are virgins who affect a good dowry from the families of prospective husbands. Loss of virginity means a deal is cancelled.

Close knit: Rifca with husband Ionel and grandson Ion

She added: 'Before that there was a lot of fighting - once my father had even attacked my husband with a knife. He wanted him to pay 500,000 lei in compensation. My family even took me home but after three days I ran away again to be with him.'

After Maria's birth, Ionel's family paid Rifca's father a dowry and all was settled.

Maria's birth made Rifca's mother a grandmother aged 40.

Rifca said she begged daughter Maria to stay in school and finish her education.

Maria decided to follow in her footsteps and marry herself. Within six months she too had fallen pregnant with Ion.

She told how in Romanian gypsy community it is common for couples to marry young.

Rifca added: 'I did not try to stop my daughter getting married because this is the tradition, it's what happens.'

The youngest British grandmother was an unnamed 26-year-old from Rotheram, Yorkshire whose 12-year-old daughter gave birth in 1999.

A lady would naturally want to connect with a guy she loves. If there's no emotional bond (not talking about sex) and they do not TALK to each other then there's trouble. A lot of women would appreciate their spouse opening up to them and equally play (yes o, play) with them. Sex is just a little very SIGNIFICANT part of the ratio. A wise guy would make the most of this.

Re: Christian Protecting Muslims During Their Prayers In Egypt
« #26 on: Today at 02:43:28 PM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello guys. I hope you guys will read my comments with open minds. I truly hope not just simply by looking at my Nick name you guys will presume things.

90 % of my christian brothers and sisters dont' know that a muslim, either he/she is from any part of the world believes in JESUS (May peace and blessings of almighty be on him, and Merry (Mariyam, May peace and blessings of Almighty be on her as well)
That any muslim, no matter from which part of the world he/she is, do believe that JESUS was born from a virgin mother. And he, without any doubts, Spoke like a mature man the day he was born. God bestowed upon him various miracles, which included raising the dead from the graves, curing blinds and ETC ETC
[li]The word ISLAM means "PEACE", that's why when you see a Muslim saying "ASSALAM O ALAIKUM" it simply means that he is praying for you, or in simple english he/she is saying "May peace and blessings of almighty (Allah) be on you.

For those my Naira Land member brothers & sisters, I wanna ask you a very simple question? Why is it that it's only in JOS there are riots ? why not in the other parts of the country ?Ever thought of it? Did you guys try to look at the broader picture? or let me say, how many of you who have commented in this thread have actually been to the north, and have been a victim of Racial Abuse or Religious Abuse. Or how many of you have been to the north and you have been denied access to Church or any other religious activity? Lets not forget the history of INDIA & PAKISTAN. For those my educated and learned friends in this forum, lets not allow fanatics or tribalists hijack the main message being conveyed in this thread, We Should be more United. WE ARE 1, WE ARE NIGERIA.

Dear Garba,

I appreciate your mindset. I just want to give you a more indepth knowledge of what is happening in Nigeria. I guess you have spent all your life in say, Lagos? To answer your question, there has been series of riots in Kaduna (I witnessed the Zango Kataf Riot, Abiola Riot in 93, Miss World riot  shocked shocked, Sharia riot and the one that originated from a cartoon drawn of Mohammed in far away Germany abi Holland  angry angry) I almost lost my family, a Pastor and his entire family were locked up in their car and burnt to death ! Should I go on to state the ones in Kano, Bauchi, Jos? Yet, we choose to forgive and pray for one Nigeria.  kiss God is able to unite this country. Let's start by educating our loved ones. Please spread the word in your world starting from your family, school, mosques etc. I have done my part, I hope you would too.
Peace!

tyson55:
The problem with some of our muslim brothers up north is that they are not educated. Thereby, they become an easy tool in the hands of the politicians who use them to forment trouble.
Western education is not enough at all. My family was saved from been burnt to death in our family house by Muslim neighbours who were stark illiterates. They told the rioters that killing us was like killing their own family so they should start with them. They never left us until the blood thirsty rioters left. Those muslims neighbours practiced what they believed in. Peace. Most of these riots have political undertone
CelebritiesRe: Ibinabo Fights For The Rights Of Prisoners by Akuviv: 8:51am On Feb 01, 2011
My people I don't think she went to prison, we for hear am now. Not even house arrest. She wrecked Agatha's home in Collabo with Fred himself, had his baby, clubbing and killed a doctor. No justice was done. I guess she is using the connection she had to stay out of prison to set 'fellow' prisoners free.

So enjoying this thread. My own case is that when we were younger (still very much in practise anyways), Mum had this habit of using past misdeeds in xplaining Bible topics during devotions. As far ure nt the one under discussion, u go laff tire. And prayer nko? It goes lyk this
God in heaven, IK haz sinned again. (narrates wth dtail, the sin in question). He's trying me O. Help him repent or ife m ga-eme ya enh (what I'll do 2 him). Even our pets r nt spared. "Pego is misbehaving. She poos everywhere, tears clothes & does not eat. I'm tired of beating her. I will dispose her O." We go chuckle till prayr end.
Our mothers are soul mates wink My mum till date uses devotion time to settle scores. On a particular day she vex commot o na so devotion take end. Good thing is that her constant reporting us to God helped straighten us grin grin
CrimeRe: Robbers Bomb Bank With Dynamite In Lagos: Police Is Worried About Their Safety by Akuviv: 10:53am On Jan 25, 2011
One of the residents stated: “At 1. 00a.m, I heard heavy sound and I stood up immediately. I listened carefully and the sound continued at intervals. At first, I thought it was another Ikeja bomb blast. So, I went to hide under my bed but the sound continued. Later, I realised that the sound was coming from the location of the bank
.”  grin grin

Another resident, Sikiru Iyanda, told Saturday Sun: “When the sound from the dynamites and gunshots woke me up, what came to my mind was that these Boko Haram militants have come to invade Lagos. So, I called my wife and children and we began to pray.
grin grin

Who was doing d counting ?
