Islam is a very rigid religion and gives its adherents the belief that they have a divine right to ensure subservience/acceptance of the teachings in the quaran to all even by Force. For that reason there is no middle ground with them. My point remains - Putin has captured the territory he wants - The self declared eastern republics. Let Ukraine take them back first then we know they are winning. That will not happen. Also top Russian Commanders were killed beacuse the Russian millitary doctrine differs from the west - In Russia Generals lead from the front unlike the West where senior commanders lead from the rear. There is a reason for this that stems from imperial days when Russia was serially invaded but that is a discussion for anothet day.
