Thank U all 4 ur positiveness on d super eagles qualifications. |
@ Ola, Olorogun1 and BizBooks have spoken wisely but in parables and I will sound it out loud to you, STAY AWAY FROM THAT DODGE MINI-VAN, the agaggravationsater on is not worth it. |
Ola, it's true that the mileage is very high, As much as I will agree that it depends on the past users in regard to maintenance, what u should look for is the cost to replace the engine and transmission at worst case scenario. I have dealt with numerous cars over 200k and those that bought it are still appreciable till date. At times, u may have the odometer very high while the actual engine mileage might be very low compared to the dash board readings. |
oyb:Just d way I see it o , complaining and grumbling for fun. When Sanusi go after the Bank's looters, they say it's 2 much, now BG get pat on the back, we're saying he shoud rot in jail, or face firing squad, Which way NLs ![]() |
fekwenugo2:True Talk, |
malele:kafanchan and others have started saying it already, We always look beyond our nose to find reasons for everything. |
In as much as we all agreed that no Nigerian should be denied his fundamental rights, let's leave it that way. During the regime of Idiagbon and Operation War Against Indiscipline, what happened to those houses that were destroyed for drainage blockage. We all support it then cause we want to go back to the right thing. During the time of El-Rufai, we can sy all sort of things cause it's an open political system where we can criticize. What will happen to Fashola after he leave office, pple already complaining that the poor are not given the opportunity to sell by the road side, driven away from their illegal structures on top of drainages? |
In as much as I welcomed the development of space programs in Nigeria, am a bit skeptical about the implementations when it comes down to managements. It is meant to go well with info. tech but as it is said b4, things do go awry in our 9ja case and I hope this will be different in a positive way. |
SeanT21:TBS and Lifetime series at work. The guy will be pleading insanity soon. |
Abuja, being there, live there b4 and hope it is still improving. |
I believed Ikeymann00 meant 100,000 miles. As per most manual, it is recommended that the timing belt is changed at 60,000 miles. I've bough used and new ones, and it all amounts to maintainability, I don't think I'm ready to sell my new car of 4yrs old yet, however, I still have it behind my head that the used car still have some issues.
Omo, make i kno start my tori. . . . my car show me no b small! It didn't spend up to 4 months b4 i sold it again. Funny enof i went to cotonu wit a mechanic n a so cald expert 2 buy the tin o! It was a Honda babyboy (Accord) 98model, very clean! Changed tyres, radiator, brain box, gear box, gear, redid most of the electrical, changed battery etc. the list is long jare! The last stra that broke the camel back is that one day it had electrical probs again n it almost got burnt! I fixd d demon n sold it off! I lost soooo much
= = = Oyibo hand don comot from your car. |
Well worded interview, she work hard for her success in the chosen field just as we should all try to do our best in our careers. Please spread the love and kill the hatred. |
FBS:True, but we are still awaiting the result of the scan to be made public, while processing it, the PHCN took light and there is no fuel in the gen. |
timpaker:Life is a journey where U learn along the way. At this stage of Life, we are in mid-life-training school in USA and we'll come back home when we finish schooling. |
Just as Bidemi12 and others have posted, Life in US is far much more better if you are ready to work for it, With the minimum wage, U can survive once u know what u're doing and how to manage your resources, Though we do have opulent lifestyles over here but those who have little income found ways to survive even with their minimum. I have seen my fellows 9ja doing house maid, working as apprentices, restaurant help cause they do not have the legal permit to work. This Visa lottery is an opportunity to refine and showcase our skill just as princek12 said earlier. I'm a product of DV-Lottery and it have afforded me the opportunity to improve and acquire skills beyond what I could have obtained back home. It also afford me the opportunity to contribute to the economy in terms of trades. Since no one was forced to stay in USA without freedom of movement, I think it is wrong to define DV lottery as a form of Brain-drain or Slavery. Let us look at it as an oppurtunity to swim with the big fish in a big sea. (Nemo) ![]() |
bidemi12:Now I knew that all the pple both at North and south side of chitown doesn't like me, what is good about it unless there is something to showcase the years spent here, but I still thx Baba God. It's been good but as Price said earlier, I just don't want to be brain drained, still need to contribute what i've acquired here to great utilization back home. |
Bidemi, don't let me open my mouth oh, NJ all the way since 92 nd b4 then, Europe, |
@bidemi12, get a citizen with risk involved? I think Robert gates don employ U as a recruiter for new Agfanistan drafts, Leave my pple alone oh, #of 9jas in Iraq and Agfan is enough. |
@ whiteroses, while no one is attacking you, all that is needed is for you to edit your comment before posting. If you're a lover and not a fighter, I believed you should watch your writing language as being vulgar will not win anyone to your side. Just my 2 cents. |
Congrats to NL, the site itself is very valuable to me as it afford me to keep abreast of what's happening on the ground. To Seun and all positive contributors, I say thank you and I believed as mambaneje said, NL still have more to offer. |
@ Fhemmmy, please add pix so that we know what quantity is which just as Amaka always does, am awaiting the recipe for my late lunch 4 today. @naijaman12, one of my favourite , |
October 10th. |
@ mikeansy and Gbawe, Thanks for your posts. @netcracker, I concur u on who Gbawe is, a concerned activist. We all need to speak out and denied any wrong doing being mettled out to all. During OBJ regime, we got better treatment around the world than the present. |
waow, this pix na something, the hanger and planes should be preserved for tourist attraction. ![]() |
rabamajah:I like ur style, ask the veterans. The more reason I enjoy this forum and I hope we continue to get more useful info. |
@ Richiecookie, german007, thirdeye and all others, I'm really grateful to stumble across this post which I've eventually send the links to a whole bunch of friends on-line, We all need these types of forum as to enable 9jas in diaspora to come back home, I really appreciate of the courage of german to return home just after 9 years, I wish i can say the same too. Stuttgart - Amsterdam - London and USA (finally) while communicating most of the times with people going and coming almost every two months, and living in 9ja community here in NJ. I did not really miss home. I visited last in 2003 until Dec. 2008, things are so different but determined to enforce myself back to the roots (Ile Baba omo, k'nba omo l'eru). I was proud to be in the blue and red line buses from Ojota and Dopemu to Marina. I have the luxury of staying in the fully airconditioned guest house at Island as well as staying up to a week in Agege suburb without lights or generator at nights, above all, I drank pure water without any typhoid or malaria. Back to New Jersey with full Glory to God. As it was advised earlier, no showing off, mostly in native attire and when pple ask me of my looks, I quickly replied that I've just returned from Port-Harcourt and Abuja. Above all, it is all fun and was glad to be back home. Just as you and german007, my broda, it's not easy oh, paper- with kids and all that, mortgage, etc. With wealth of experiences in corporate America IT industry, I believed one is better to give back to the roots and enjoy the fruits thereoff. As for my experiences, though, I have something on the ground, i think it will be better to rent first, even for a year than buying, this is common in any new city that one moves to. it will accord u the opportunity to know who, what and where for , and will not tied u down when u jump with both feet to purchase a home. @ richiecookie, 9ja it is, all the way and God will make u fruitful as u determined to go back to motheland. |
Les, Can u handle CH and CX Mack trucks direct from NJ ? |
@rrexport, It is okay that u're providing the service (s) but it is better u state fully that the transit time is from the date of the vessel departure and not the date u took possesion of their vehicle. U also need to state if your shipment is RORO or containerize via ACL - ZIM or CMA. Does your price also includes the transportation to the port or that will be borne by the primary consignor? |
MT:thanks for the source, May Her Soul R.I.P |
@ izeek, I do agree what u said, but u might not be agreed with cause u're a dude, To me, I believe the pressure is on the guy especially with his financial downess. @ Carvone, I believed, u know where your heart lays or directing you. If it is a family you want or if it is surface love that matters to you? You have been with him for 5 years and you know what you've been through with him, sunny and rainy days, how does he put smile on ur face, , if his aura cause goodness in your life or bring bad omens to you. While am not clamoring for you to marry a poor guy, sometimes, the association of those around makes life more productive and enjoyable. ![]() The best thing in life is to be happy NOW cause tomorrow promise no man. |
Dr Ferlie and others, Thanks for a tread like these, it's what we need as an empowermeant means. I also appreciate your leveraging of Texas experience with that of Nigerian field work in the way you are advising those in need of getting into the production aspect. I hope all other professions who are yet to contribute their quota to these type of forum will start doing so. Question: What happens after the Oil finish from the ground or depleting and as we move towards renewable energy just like the US is doing right now? |
oyb:that was the end of ovation for me, wondered how the magazine could be celebrating the abachas and blaming the govt. for hounding them at that stage of our economy when we are trying to get back at the looters. ![]() |

It is meant to go well with info. tech but as it is said b4, things do go awry in our 9ja case and I hope this will be different in a positive way.
