Too dumbfounded for now.

@ OP, Thanks for sharing this event and I strongly believed that while we help as much as we can, we still need to bring govt. attention to the plight of the forgotten ones. I strongly agreed with "Alusi Okija" idea.

Kunle - Real Talk.

The reality on the ground for our people is different. How can we expect someone earning 30,000 naira per month to save up and buy a car of N2,000,000.

Impossible.

The gap between government legislation and our people is reality. We live in it, while they peer at it behind fortified windows, walls and new spec cars.
True talk.

@ Sienna and Fhemmy, what  u guys are advocating for is definitely right. I also believed that Kunle is saying no difference as far as he sells his cars. the question is are we in this biz for a better tomorrow or just to get along?

As for me, I have never and will never sell a care without air-bag to a client despite its cover-ups.  So many deaths on our roads that could have been prevented if the car-airbag is present.   I'm in it for the money but my conscience will not let me sell a defective cars as others do.

Nice write-up from the blog-spot.
In as much as the subsidy removal will favour Nigerians in the long run, other avenue should be exploited first and then phased removal approach.

>>  We have become a very religious country, to the point of sheer laziness. We now believe in God for everything. This has been the focus of most of my posts.  I accept your handshake. Even brothers fight.
First, thank you for accepting we are entitle to our views. You're also entitled to yours. I've no beef with tithes and offerings. In fact, I steer away from such arguments as best as I can. Do I believe in tithes? NO. Does it matter? Well, would paying or not paying tithes earn one salvation?

1 Corinthians ,
>>> 11) My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas[b]”; still another, “I follow Christ.”
13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Romans 14
Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

I don't believe God would give me something in order to throw it to the wind. If one suspects a pastor is stealing or eating his tithes, he has every right to question the pastor,  God didn't make us fools. How can you feed wrong? And ask God to judge? That pastor go fat wella o,

It's also amazing how most Nigerians would run to the Europe and America whose economies are 'crashing' now,  don't deceive yourself. I suspect if I got you a visa, you'd be on that pulpit next Sunday testifying to God.
Remain Blessed.  We need to wake up to REALITIES of LIFE,   Lack of knowledge have blinded us inwardly.

It's time we access ourselves individually and stop follow follow for Grand Name sake, I belong here or there.

The fact still remains that oyedepo should not be the centre of this topic but boko haram. That why I love americans. They know how to bury their hatchet when fighting a common enemy. During sept 11 anybody that curse al_queda will receive a resounding amen even if he is a criminal. All the energy that most of us are directing against oyedepo shud av been directed against boko haram. Agreed. He waited till his church is affected before talking but be sincere wit urself, how many of u wake up to curse a thief until the thief personally rob u. It is normal. Maybe by the time boko haram kill one of your people and u start cursing them we too will be waiting at the corner to condem u.

Car TalkRe: The Confessions Of A Crooked Car Dealer. by alanbolo(m): 6:12pm On Oct 10, 2011
@ Fhemmy,  I understand ur concern about the VIN check.  Here in NJ / NYC, we have dealers who ran the vin and tamper with the odometer to bring it down a bit more to what the VIN check reported last.

I ran a MDX vin recently and what was reported there is totally not corresponding to what Acura have in their database -  and always oil change / tune-ups at the dealer.  VIN is good to check reported cases and not necessarily the TRUE mileage.

Have we noticed that most of our road accident with head on collisions have no Air-Bag deployed at accident time?  Bag-less SRS or huh

If he thinks he has good reason for neglecting those bad roads, doesn't common sense tell him that FG has equally good reason for not throwing money and resources at the Airport Road and Apapa-Oshodi road. What is good for the goose, is good for the gander. Fashola should do his jobt, rather distracting Lagosians by screaming - FG! State roads in Lagos are terribly bad, Fashola should fix them!
Thank You.

Was so dissapointed after coming home to Ayobi in August. Word for thought; if you think insulting someone higher than you, a president or someone who holds higher office 20million better than you make you smarter, think AGAIN! On the contrary, it make you look foolish, and one will think Nigeria and Nigerians who are known for respect will give respect to whom it's due unto will lead by example, yet it's people like you and your cohorts above who give Nigerians bad name. It's only on NL that I have seen people carelessly using cuss words to associate with a president. People dislike Obama, they call him weak, clueless etc but I've never heard someone call him a re/tard and it's like. Well I guess it's what the forum is and it attracts its like, hey what can I say?
