BusinessRe: Hotel Or Private School: Which Business Is More Profitable? by alanbolo(m): 3:27am On Mar 24, 2008
While both are intended 4 profits, I believed hotelling biz have much more to offer in that regard.

As said earlier by Salvage, it also depends on personal quest 4 establishing the entity. I've always dream of imparting knowledge to my brethens whenever I can and the ultimate goal is to establish a center where knowledge can be gained that will transform the life of the less privilege.

Based on sentimental @ d moment, I rather establish the school first and if it produce the cash-inflow, okay and if not, I'll live with the satisfaction of equipping those that benefited from it.

It'll be better to sign the form for him now, make a photocopy of the form and when the share certificate is out, you'll have to fill out the transfer form to his CSCS account with the same signature used in buying the shares then.

It's also better to open a stockbroking account with a broker "they'll assist him on opening the CSCS account as well" which will make all his/her transaction easier to handle. I do this most time for pple - though not in 9ja but my broker handles it effortlessly , most times wink

PoliticsRe: Yar'adua To Rule For 15 Years? by alanbolo(m): 9:27pm On Sep 10, 2007
@Denex, I feel yr writeups and sentiments, the watchword is positivity.

@warfy boy, I feel u too but I'm not too sure to engage u in yr negativity. during the April 14 election, u promised to check out soonest cause u've lost hope in 9ja - maybe that'll be better 4 u den, as u'll be so preoccupied working at the oyimboland that u'll not be able to have time to post a tread at all. I'm not in support of all the govt. policies but it seem u're not ready to give mr president a little chance at all. grin grin grin

let me ask u, have u ever being a leader of an organized club or association? What are yr experience during yr tenure if any. huh
BusinessRe: Robert Kiyosaki: His 'Rich Dad' Does 'Not Exist'? by alanbolo(m): 9:41pm On Aug 20, 2007
@easimoni,  yr point is well noted about integrity which is what everyone of is concerned about.

The same argument u post about CSL analysis on Access Bank at another tread, u adviced not to jump to conclusion without confirming all the actors and scripts about the manipulation of the cooking the books. I will also enjoined that in as much as meant good, can negativity be subdued.

I do subscribed to RTK articles from yahoo.finance and most of his points are well taking, just as other have said b4, his write-ups has actually assist me in decision makings and which I've passed on to my kids at their early age.

Pple will actually go against all forms of things either knowledgeable or not, and i wouldn't like to associate with likes. We all do have personal opinion in all things and while u may be right, I'll like to leave with the impression that RDPD is actually a financial stimulus that we all need.

PoliticsRe: My Ordeal In The Hands Of The Netherlands Police, By Osoufia by alanbolo(m): 7:34pm On Aug 03, 2007
Just as Militia have rightly said, this things happen a lot and it's one of the price you have to pay if you're insignificant in a certain environment. is Rodney king a Nigerian, what happen to all other black folks or Latinas that have been mishandled by the NYPD of recents,

Do not let be over sentimental, the more informed the world is, about the activities of a country law enforcements agent, the less racist they'll be, NJ have the same issue with police profilling against blacks driving on Newjersey highway, and after more exposure and criticism, it seemed to have die down NOW.

He who must dine with the devil must have a long spoon. huh

Well said, pal

So people can only invest their money if they are sure of short term profit.
Bussiness is not a Charity organisation.

Enjoying all the post.   I don't we should direct our anger to denex, all he's trying to do is to open our eyes to the unknown info that aren't open to the populace as it should be.

I commend you on yr brave write up, it takes more than an individual to go to that lent.  I believed u're not connected to the information ministry one way or the other,   smiley   and no intention of collecting advanced payment from Yar'adua? if not, then it's good.

No one is supporting what the govt did in raising the past but a compromise is what is need now and find a way to deregulate the energy sector - oil and power.

Would it be normal to inform the house that averagely, a working class american spend btwn 40 to 70% of their basic salary on housing?  As at today, i was jubilating to see the prices of gas at $2.79 from the initial 3.13 all due to market forces and thx to the militants in delta state for freeing the 10 indians.

Either way, there are pains and informed public will be able to manage the pains just as denex noted in his post.   All we need is enough information that will be able to carry us along govt or corporate decisions.

@ diamond, it's not for u but for those who value it's purchasing power.
As it's been said, U're a big gurlie and that amount may mean nothing to you while it's alright with lot's of folks.

Don't compare the expenses over here with that of 9ja.
PoliticsRe: President Yar'adua Is Dull? by alanbolo(m): 5:08pm On Jun 06, 2007
@ denex,  thx and thx again for your comments and observation.  it's people like who always take advantage of any situation they find themselves.     I could not comment much on wafarian notes due to my location, people will think I got it made that's why i could comment just like denex.

@Wafarian,  I feel yr pain even as I read yr sad notes.  U definitely have a right to express yr opinions likewise everyone else, but it seems u put 3 much hope on the so called foreign ideas as being publicized in the media.  As u might observed, more and more Nigerians are coming back to the motherland than those who are going out, have U asked yrself why this is so?   By God grace, my kids will have their secondary education in Nigeria when the time comes for them.

Of course, if you have the means to travel out, please do so but do not expect bed of roses.  As am talking to you, if I can get the job i'm proposing back in naija, I'll move down asap because i still believed in the country and it's potential.  Where on earth will i be able to raise up my head straight on my shoulder and fell proud for doing something for my country - expect 9ja.

Most developments and fanimorous activities u see or hear about are by individuals and not governmental in totality as u might have expected.   I have family back home and always seem ashamed when I compare myself to them,  they've moved on while i'm helping contributing to the development of other nation.

We do blame govt for all our ills as described by denex, but what have we try our best to do in contributing to the betterment of our family-neighbours-nations?     It wasn't easy b4 and we survived, back home, I've hawk goods and work in a farm to make my family better,  God is still in the business of those who diligently do their work and performed their civic duties.

All I'm saying is try being positive and let the karma flow with your efforts to elevate you to better plain than the bitter state you are right now.     I agreed, it could be better but have U looked at it that it could've been worsted just like Liberia and Sierra-Leone?

Remain positive and received positivity in return.

PoliticsRe: President Yar'adua Is Dull? by alanbolo(m): 11:08am On Jun 05, 2007
@boladez and denex

needless I say more about the likes of wafarian.   We're moving forward, whatever anyone thinks otherwise.   We've gone beyond the Roman Era.

Believed Yar'adua is as smart as he is.  So far, so well, he's been able to hold the forth and tough times define tough men.
InvestmentRe: Investment: Bank Shares Or A Plot Of Land? by alanbolo(m): 10:05pm On May 29, 2007
Definitely, I'll go for the land as a stable means of investments. Shares do go up and down, and are bound to be subjected to geopolitical influences, if you miss out now, you can also buy a similar share type but Land on the other hand will not depreciate.

Ensure you purchase from a reliable source, otherwise you'll pay triple the amount for the omo-onile(s).

@ frankiriri -  I think yr contribution is needed on which stockbroken firms are worthy of our investments?

I have one right now -- www.Capitalassetsng.com   but would like to have a backup in-case I started experiencing some poor customer services as experienced by others.
PoliticsRe: Bush Refuses To Meet With Yar'adua by alanbolo(m): 4:09am On May 12, 2007
@Bankole01, was wondering why u have to post an old news but could now see the underlying factor of yr war with PDP and the president elect. huh    This information have been published number of times in 9ja newspaper and it's noted that USA doesn't meet president elect not even that of France "where it's claimed that lives and properties were destroyed as well" sad

@Iyke-D,  thank u 4 d observations and post.  But remember that 1st week of April when the Shanghai Stock Exchange index went down by single digits, the DOW lost about 30 points that same day due to China markets.  If China?Japan coughs, we get cold - in terms of financial only.  u could recall that most US banks have The Japanese and Chinese investors as major stakeholders.

He who donates the donates the Piper, dictates the music.

No matter what anyone said about China, they were able to assist us in building our NigerSat-2 after the Suffolk-UK firm assist with NigerSat-1.  Their product may be cheap but it's a safe haven for bunch of immigrants here with their products as evident with Walmart and 99cents Stores.

While not condoning evil or rigging, what have I to say if Gov. Tinubu and gov-elect Fashola can go and congratulates Yar'dua while Atiku and AC rejected the results in 14 states, does that means Tinubu and Fashola are stupid or decided to play along and get the much needed federal development for Lagos State?
AutosRe: Price Inquiry: I'm Sending Vehicles To Nigeria by alanbolo(m): 3:23am On May 12, 2007
@Boston,  thx 4 d observation and comment, some pple can go to any length to ,

@Okejazz,  of course u wouldn't send a car to 9ja without a market awaiting u or where to display yr products.   U might search loads of treads on this forum for an idea of prices and might as well check out www.autotraderng.com   What I use to augur my shipment is a newspaper called market place and sometimes used another one called Castles.   If u decided to send them and get yr cash, asap, u might need to go with the prices of cars as sold in Berger - Lagos State.

At best, delay sending yr cars unless u have loads of money afloat,   it's risky and returns are not guaranteed.  Though familiar with prices, I'll enjoined u to do yr research without the obvious questions of please`- i need these and that.  As a business man, check them yrself as a buyer and go on from there, do not over exposed yrself as U're bound to fall victim,   talking from experience.

Wishing u goodluck.
