A Nigerian entreprene. , Adewale Aladejana, who owns Sapphire scents - has shared how he started from the bottom to get to where he is (which is relatively a good place). The young man who said he started his business with 30,000 naira in 2015( 2years ago) - has met with a lot of top shots in Nigeria including former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.) and others.

Yesterday the young man launched the Sapphire scents 2 flagship stores in Lagos and Abuja.

Read his words below;

This is the day the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it. In April of 2015 Sapphire Scents started with just N30,000 today we are opening 2 showrooms in Lagos and Abuja!

I want to encourage someone today, a little spark can become a fire, a little drop can become an ocean. Believe in what God has given you, don't look down on your talent and gifts, God is a world class God and whatever He gives you is world class!

Banish small thinking! Although it's okay to start small but trust God for expansion and enlargement.

These are the things God can do and it is marvelous in our eyes, I strip myself of every confidence and I give all glory to Jesus.

You too can be a social media evangelist, kindly share and repost this Gospel of Jesus Christ so that others can be blessed just like you have been blessed. Thank you for reading.

This is one of the small business owners that I said need finanance/accounting training. I don't known how he wants me to believe.

This little information that he passed made it clear to me that he does not have background in business discipline and if he does not find help from those that do there may be a big problem that he is not giving attention now.

These are some certain things that he did not put into account

1 he failed to understand that capital of a business is not only the 30000 naira cash but also but all the family furniture, family house, your personal computer, phone, room that put into it are also your capital and they must be given monetary values so, if you add all this your capital may worth 500000 that time you started. You need consultant

2. It is not possible or almost impossible to use 30000 to start a business 2 years ago and to have grown to millions you claim except if you are behind the ponzi schemes we are seeing around, don't spoon fiend me, are you into bunkery... except along the line directly or inderectly you have injected more capital from another source. You need to understand owners equity

3. Abuja and Lagos offices are they assets or expenses? If they are expenses what is your circulating capital/capital ratio? If you know why do you think the business will be financially heathy in the nearest future? You need finacial analyst.

Well...matter how good you are in business the theory can not be denied. Those who went to university to study business related courses and those who just practice business from experince or training can be compared to mechanical engineers and mechanics

Christianity EtcRe: Nigeria Moving Towards Another Collapse, Civil War – Pastor Bakare by alanka(f):
Political world is like a child, a well trained child, a child whose father brought up well believing that to be successful in life you have to know these rules and keep them.

But the boy grew up to neglet all the trainings, he would say to himself, I will use what my father likes to trouble him. This boy will go to the street to cause trouble, to fight to steal...the father always comes for his aids.

Until one day when the father said to himself, if the training and advice I gave my son when he was a child was not enough to be a good person in life...then I gave up.

Not quite long as his father was in the middle of thought, they dragged him home again that he stole, his father said to the mob take him away and do what he deserves to him. He spent sometimes in police station where he was beaten mercilessly.

After sometimes, he was dragged home that he raped, his father told police take him away and do what he deserves to him...he spend some years in prison before he came back.

One day he took poison he said he wanted to commit suicide because his father has failed him, his father gave him rope that he should hang himself rather than poison... poison will take too much time. His father threw a rope at him and helped him tolock the door.

So is political world. Is like a well trained son, that chose to trouble his father for no reason. It reminds me of my mother common saying: ...omo mapami omo mapami ti obaya adi omo mapa ara e.

Doing evil in expectation that someone should come and force you to stop it...will lead you to a suicide.

Na me you dey talk.

I am so poor that I can't afford my favorite food.

Then when the going was not bad, over the weekend, I would buy one kilo of turkey fried it with rodo, alubosa, magi and ororo and finish it with five alive.

It is about five years I ate that last.

I had different ways, I used to do it sometimes I might use the turkey to do pepper soup and eat everything that day, it was very common to be sundays

With just 1500 naira I used to enjoy myself with this I was my eatery then.

But now no stable source of income, and the income that comes in is not enough per day. Apart from that turkey has become so expensive.

Either I make me poor, you make me poor, I be lazy guy who does not want to work the fact remains that I am so poor that food becomes my dream.

In the fuure if I have money, I will buy as many kilos of turky as I can afford, rus/fry it with rodo, alubosa, magi and buy five alive as many as I can buy and I will eat, eat, eat...that I will sleep there wake up and continue where I stop this my my dream.

It is my dream to have one more chance.

Because this is the first time our universities would be screening students in place of post utme, if we want to use UI experience as standard then chance that you will be admitted is very slim with your SSSE being Cs.

I hereby advise, because the sceening is happening for the first time in the coumtry and we do not have previous experience of what it will look like, I recommend you to do change of institution with your economics as first choice to a state university

Or change of course to economics education from economics

hope it wont affect my first option uni ilorin?
You have a good chance to be admitted with this your jamb result but I can not say much because I don't know your o'level, your state of origin and if you have two sittings or one.

If i donk know all this I cant measure your chance.

However, 237 is a good result if other factors remain constant you have a vary high chance of being admitted.

With this your result you may not need to change institution/course.

Except if your o'level is not good and your name is like Charles, creg, Jonson...

Please, what are the UTME subject combination
for Education and Political science in OAU?
When I was in educational consultancy I can't recall if in anytime, any of my students chose wrong JAMB subject combinations, base on their caurse of interest and SSCE.

Because I used to have special hours to read brochure from A to Z, find the differences in a new year brochure and previous ones.

Find out why they want to study the course, if I find out a parent was the one forcing his child to study a course, I would have to invite the parent and let them see why they should not force a course on their kids.

I would monitor, supervise, analyse, everything from o'level, jamb subjects combination, courses of choice, schools of choice...

I would then make more finding about the schools, are they on strike, are they planning to go on strike, do they run the program my student chose, what about post UTME and past questions...

After I am satisfied, then I would then fill their JAMB form, if there is anything still bordering me I would not fill their form until I am clear.

Whatever that Worths doing short doing well. Even till today information about many of these universities are in my brain...

Very high percentage of my students were getting admission every year.

Today I can be proud, i had those who had graduated as lawyers, doctors, engineers, accountants, chartered accountant, business administrators, biochemists, microbiologist...they had been looking for evey mean to see me but I have been avoiding them.

One luckily saw me last year, he packed his car and ran after me shouting my name. I urged him dearly is being long boy. You are now a man. Long time sir, i have been looking for you all over the world, i search for you on internet almost every week.

I contacted some other students if they could help me found your number...where have you been sir. Ha ha ha I am sorry for everything.

So what are you doing now. I just concluded my master degree in system engineering and I am considering going for my P.HD. I had to beg him to marry first get a good job and marry first.

I don't know what the tutors and educational consultants of today are doing.

I was doing a good job for the upcoming ones, but some people found it as a challenge to their existence they destroyed the business. The one I did, is more than enough.

It is not easy to leave the firms after you gain experience and do well outside them.

They have contracted the whole country company, they have become monopoly that can not be broken. This is not a law firm but accounting firm where the ethics or codes of conduct do not allow you to carry out your professional duty in a company where you have relations.

All the companies have being contracted among the tops accounting firms, and you can not audit in your dad's company. Because ethics do not accept that exept as INTERNAL AUDITOR. You either stay with them or you don't practice.

The accounting firms are so strong that they close door for new competitors. Below are some of the reason why there may not be new firms to compete with these big ones.

1. Upgrading of Accoung Code: The big accounting firms play the front roles in upgrading of accounting ethics, practice, rules and regulation

2. Outside Profession Relations: The big accounting firms create off business relationship with chairmen/women, Directors of the companies they work with. Like being members of same club, church, attend same occasions...

3. Purshase of Young Talented Graduate: The big accounting firms have bought the few talented accounting graduates that can challenge them in the future, those who may have the prerequisite to challenge them in nearest future have been bought with that, they have reduced the chance of being challenged in the nearest future.

4. Good pay: their remunerations are good enough. They pay well, they train well, future financial security guaranteed so, it is very slim for anyone to wish to go out to start his own that may run down as early as he starts.

5. Unethical Secrets: many of these companies have committed a lot of financial crimes, they are still committing more, all of these crimes are hidden under the power of the big audit firms. These must not be exposed and this gives the audit firms chance to remain on top of their games. No chance for strangers.

6. Business Organisations: many of the big accounting firms are conglomerates. They are international, they have international backup, they are not partnership businesses but Limited Liability Companies, So, which new partnership firm wants to compete with them?

7. Size of Market: How many company audits their account in this country? How many company do we have? I have approached many small companies to help them to prepare their accounts and give them financial advice base on the founding they said no. And these are businesses that do not have complete record. Can those who can not call service of an accountant call services of auditor? No.

8. Constitutions: Nigeria constitution is a failure in the sense that it makes it mandatry for only PLCs to audit and publish their accounts once in a year while LIMITED even as we have seen many of them bigger than some PLCs not mandated to audit their accounts.

9. Infant Industry: I see accounting profession as infant industry but highly needed industry. The only few toping the ladder are the ones making more then 90% of the market. All the new firms there striving ended up closing firms and start new business or gain employment or remain jobless.

10. Training: acquisition of skill to become chartered accountant is tedious. It requires money and time. After four years in university some people may find it hard to be struggling with ICAN for more than two years if care is not taking.

11. Demand for Chartered Accountants: the millennial companies employ chartered accountants into various posts in the country, in banking sectors, oil, insurance, beverage... etc this has resulted to many of them not practicing.

12. Demand for Chartered Accountants as Internal Auditors: to be an internal Auditor you don't have to be a chartered accountant, B.sc, HND, M.sc, AAT, PE 1etc should be good enough but millennial businesses employe chartered accountants to do the job.

13. At this stage, I am tired.

So when you keep doing something that does not give us profit but deep us in trouble what do we do ? We change, there must be a time to change things must not and can not be going the same direction forever.

Only you can get more deep down down, save others of this please. Don't hard to it.

One of the problems in this country is when some idiots like you come up to say what not someone business on what is going on in public. This is a public place in wish I have interest just as you do, so in some cases I may not be negligent, I don't want to be negligent in this case because it is public place in which all of us have one interest or the other.

My points, if you want to make finding, research and the people you are asking are pushing it back to you then use your brain. Don't play evil, don't drag them to it that may save them of many troubles. Even if it can not save them from the ones they have committed but it would refrain them commuting more.

If you ask them this kind of question it means you send them on an arrand to find and search it for you and they may end up causing havoc that is why they were avoiding your thread. Woe unto he by which his brothers commit sin.

The last time I checked, asking curious questions is still legal.[/quote]symptoms of evil is when people are very sure of no answer either bablically or scientifically but you want to use all means to drag them to say or do what they don't want to.

If you check nairaland, threads like this are many what ended the thread? Insult, abuse, threat...at the end they did not get anything out of it but being banned.

Now you came with it they said no, you just want to force into issue that had been discussed almost every year, which I am very sure you know.

Now if I say i created God will you accept? If I say nature created God will you accept? If I say God created God will you accept? You will want me to tell you how do I know? If I now say I was there when God created God will it sound good to you? No.

But if you will accept any of above options then you should is your cup of tea. All will again end up to be argument, insult, abuse, thread just as the other ones went.

If science says this earth is 8 billion years old and the oldest man on earth is less than 200 years it means no man on earth was able to see, or talk to people who lived 500 years ago but you want them to tell you who created God.

If God created a property that worth 8 billion years old and the highest age of the occupant is 150 years is it not a sign of madness for a 150 years old man to be asking another 150 years old man who created God that created world that is 8 billion years
