Believe this man at your own peril. This Umahi ll put Ebonyi state up for sell one day. He promised revitalizing moribond Nigercem, since May 2015 to date, nothing has changed there. He promised the reticulation of water to the smallest state capital- Abakaliki, till date no drop of water from public supply. He took OBJ to waste to wealth plant, where did old man danced in amazement, till today no single truck load waste has entered there let alone bringin wealth. The solid mineral sector which the state is known to have is in shambles. Over taxation has made many local and foreign investor to soft pedal. The only promise he made and partly kept is the building of fly-overs which are only used my tipper driver and of course a federal government project. If, God forbid this man wins 2nd term, Ebonyians will be in soup. |

This is laughable, salaries that the governor slashed by 50% since he assumed office in 2015. He claims to pay 13th month salary which is just a meagre 5% of one's take home wage. You can imagine 5% of 28k which is less than 2k is what a government would say is 13th month salary. Pensioners are dying in their numbers. Nweze Francis is just a political stooge of Ebonyi State govt, we know their antics. No make me vex ds morning. |

I don't understand this my governor at all. He behaves the same way as Buhari. Just few days ago, he created artificial fuel scarcity in the state by increasing the amount of tax being paid by fuel marketers, thereby plunging the state into untold hardship. He thinks by following Buhari and saying things to please him, he be saved in 2019. Majority of Ebonyians are already tired of his administration. I can't fathom why PDP don't see his actions as anti party, "we ll support any presidential candidate no matter the party he belongs to" on quote by Imagine. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar yesterday renewed his call for the restructuring of the nationa , as according to him, the current arrangement has failed. He spoke at a youth forum in Abuja, yesterday. Alh. Abubakar revealed that the Political Conference of 1995 recommended new system of presidential government in which holders of the office would spend one-term of six years. According to him, the recommendation was to also make the presidency rotate among the six geo-political zones but that recommendation was not implemented. His words, “The Current arrangement which I have always referred to as a unitary federalism which came about because of the prolonged military rule in country is not working. “But what we actually drafted, I am telling you today, was not what actually came out. “We proposed a Presidential system of one term of six years to be rotated among the six geo-political zones of this country. By now virtually about four zones would have produced a president. “And we said that after 36 years , we will review that position. This is a useless write up, we always failed to learn from history. How can he borrow such amount of money from Islamic bank? Does the governor want to mortgage Ebonyi state? The bank knows fully well that Ebonyi state can't repay the loan. look at Osun state battling with her own case, where public school pupils were being forced to wear hijab and the state government can't do otherwise because it was the term of agreement for the unrepaid loan. Also read the history of Turkey before it was Islamized, same scenarios will take place in Ebonyi state if she goes ahead to borrow from IDB. The state has already lost Afikpo Local government to Muslims. Virtually all the indigenous people of that LGA have been converted to Islam. You could recall last year, when all the south eastern state governors were planning on sending away the Fulani herdsmen out of their states, only the Ebonyi state gov. kicked against it. While can't the gov borrow what the state can repay and should be from either IMF or ADB, who have human sympathy. 3 Likes |

What baffles me is that of all these saga of deportation of our citizens from verious countries of the world, Nigeria as sane nation have never deported even a Lebanese and Almaijiris roaming the country to their own country. Very pathetic country we have! |
