Been a virgin until marriage is one of the best gift a lady can give to her husband.
Imagine you are getting married to a lady who has been fu*ked by different men in different positions. She has sucked multiples of di*cks and some crazy things with different men and yet you want to compare her to a virgin, dey play. This is why we have so many failed marriages because they keep comparing you and the exes in terms of sexual prowess.

I don't think Government are ready to implement the floating policy. Where did they expect the importers of these 43 items to get dollars if not from back door or black market.

What is the need for official importers and exporters window again.
Toh. Maybe I'm not getting it, but I thought the floating of the naira meant abolishment of the I/E window altogether. In other words we all by at the same rate, wether official or not

Politics › Re: Emefiele: Is It Now An Offence To Obey The C-in-X? by alezzy13: 7:09am On Jun 17, 2023
To an extent, OP might be right. Like I've maintained, by the naira swap/redesign is a constitutional duty of CBN.

Yes, the implementation might have been less than optimal, but that doesn't make it a criminal case.

But let's wait and see.

Politics › Re: Revealed:Why Emefiele Is Being Persecuted & Buhari & Ministers Left Scot Free by alezzy13: 9:55am On Jun 11, 2023
Yes, erstwhile CBN had many sins, the most glaring was his participation in partisan politics (or attempt to do so) while in the saddle.

Naira resign policy, like most have concluded had good intentions behind it, but was poorly executed.

But these are not criminal cases.

Then of the course the allegation of terrorism financing.

Don't even know where to start. 🙁

If you believe he can authorize $100m (about half a trillion naira, in official rate ) to some terrorist group in Afghanistan, then it goes without saying your intelligence is highly overestimated

Unnecessary and barely needed distraction at this end.

Yes Emefiele has many issues, but I feel he's being scapegoated.

Gives an eerie reminder of how PMB went after Dasuki immediately he came into power while leaving far more important issues undone.

Economy is tittering along on life support. People are having it very hard with the subsidy removal. There are more important things to do

Is it possible to lose money if you invest in a mutual fund?

All funds carry some level of risk. With mutual funds, you may lose some or all of the money you invest because the securities held by a fund can go down in value. Dividends or interest payments may also change as market conditions change.
No investment of course is 100% safe, that's why I said it's risk is minimal.

Particularly for the money markets types (yes there are different kinds) whose base are treasury bills (mainly) and govt bonds etc. For these ones, the risk of losing or depreciation is almost absent &your principal will be intact. In terms of safety you can place it at par with fixed deposit, if not better. However note the yield tends to be low.

The equity-based funds, balanced funds or dollar funds are the ones that come with better yields but higher risk, and yes you might lose some of your principal. Best avoided if you don't have the stomach for it.

There's a thread here dedicated to mutual funds. I've been following and been very useful to me.

The equity based or.

It's like every month I have to go and fight them to remind them that they have not paid me interest on my fixed deposit then they apologise and say it's a computer glitch. Then they will take like 3 weeks to eventually pay it but I have grown tired of just going in there to fight them every month , I have just left them alone and just wTching them and for 4 months now they have not paid the interest. I set it up to be paid monthly . That's Nigeria for you, even the banking get K leg

Why on earth still using fixed deposits at such measly rates when there better instruments out there.

Like some above me have suggested, mutual funds is perhaps the safest investment for now and rates hover 8-10%.

First Bank has theirs fbnquest. .

If this is the only thing that the 10th Lagos assembly achieved, so be it.

Lagos is a Yoruba land, not a chinedu land.

Let that ring to your skull.

Awa laleko, awon niwon ni Anambra.

It should be included in the Act that anyone who tagged Lagos State a no man's land should be liable for a prison sentence not less than 10 years because this is the 10th assembly setting the records straight.

Any person or group of persons caught calling themselves or himself an Eze in Lagos State has committed an offence punishable with a prison sentence not less than 10 months with HARD LABOR.

but you have to understand that these oil cabals would get their money anyway either from the subsidy or from 700 per litre petrol prices

Politics › Re: The Madness In Citizens Supporting Subsidy Removal by alezzy13: 12:58pm On Jun 02, 2023
Well some good points. Welfare is the primary aim of govt.

But the big issue:Do we have the money to continue this largesse??

A staggering 3.7Trillion so far this year, and even at that NNPC says govt still owes 2.8t. overall debt is over 77Trillion!!

We borrowing into oblivion just to sustain this subsidy. Let's be honest, we can't continue this way.

Are you aware you have to repay that debt someday??

We are pushing the debt for unborn generations, simply because we want cheap oil. That is uncharitably and indefensibly immoral.

We need to face our shiit once and for all!

Yes, as a father I want the best for my children, but I can't keep borrowing far beyond my means to achieve that.
