I think this is normal. You don't need to worry, just relax your mind and be prayerful.

Hello AlFath,

No worries. However, if am to give you a personal advise, I will advise you to enquire or write to the school to plead for a new admission letter to be issued prior to the expiry of the current (though you might be asked to pay a new application fee).

More so, given the recent trend of refusals, its also advised not to be in hurry to put in another application, if possible wait till next year (though the choice is yours, this is just an opinion).

Normally, refusal reasons can be addressed and an application improved for a reapplication. You can use the SOP/LOE to address the concerns and yes, you can include substantial evidence to back any stated assertions but any stated previous info should be unchanged.

Given the generic reasons, it has also resulted to a copy and paste in the notes by the VOs. If you can lay your hands on one or recent one, you would have a better idea to address these reasons. However, in brief summary, try to tack the refusal reasons from these persperctive but not limited to it.

1. Try to address the importance of the intended course and the opportunities available in your country of residence - Purpose of Visit.

2. The economic benefits of your intendes course as well as your economic establishments in your home country, then you can talk and show proof of your socio-cultural establishment too - Current Employment Situation and Home Ties.

BTW the notes could take up to 30 days to 45 days or more (if there is an unprecendented delay)

Good luck!
Good evening,

Thank you for taking your time to explain all these. I really appreciate. Very informative and helpful.

Insha Allah I would be among those that will post Approval Alert on this forum.

Thank you so much.

JustMellow:
Hello AlFath,

The first step of action towards your reapplication is to defer your admission to the next possible intake. It would have be advisable to request for your gcms notes, but there won't be need as all the notes are coming generic.

Before reapplying, try to repackage your application, you might also try to improve more on your study plan and endeavour to address the VO's concerns. If possible, back it up with substabtial evidence.

Its also advisable to work on your (re-)application like a fresh one. You might want to contact some members of this forum that has requested for their notes (if you know any), so you can get an insight of how to address the concerns of the VO.

Good luck!
Good morning,

Happy Sunday!

Sorry, I skipped your comment. Thank you for the advice. The school does not have any intake for summer, they only accept students in Fall and Winter. Besides, the letter of acceptance will expire by August 2020.

Do you think I can address these issues i.e family ties and the employment situation in my sop and attach more evidences and reapply as soon as possible.?

However, if I can get somebody that had requested for his note, having checked that. Do you think I can treat the issues the same way they have addressed it.

How long does it take to get the notes?

I really appreciate your concern. Thank you so much.

dejavus:
Seems you have family members in Canada and not much in Nigeria? This looks like you have stronger ties in Canada than in Nigeria.

Also the second paragraph is talking about your employment situation, are you currently employed? Perhaps you need to show proof of employability at the end of your course.

Just my 2 cent, I ll let the gurus give their opinions.
Qudkom:
Hi sorry about your refusal to begin with you'll need to state;
1. What you currently do in terms of employment.
2. What are the documents you submitted to verify your family ties.

P.s: Don't be too hard on yourself lately I have seen some gutting decisions by the VOs and it's just hard to understand. You can imagine a guy that works for his father (proof of employment, 2 company account, tax receipts, license etc) getting refused on employment bases... And also home ties even with the fact that he's got a sibling fully settled in Canada. sad
Thank you for your responses.

Presently, I don’t have any family in Canada and for the home ties; I used my spouse and children. I included their birth certificates in my application.

I’m the (Imam) leader in a community mosque and also the youth leader in an organization. I mentioned all these in my SOP. Besides, I have a property in Lagos and one other property owned by my mum.

For employment, I’m presently working in a private organization and I have a school in Lagos. I included the CAC certificate as evidence and all other documents such as; tax clearance certificates, land use charges, etc. for all the properties mentioned.

Thank you so much.

please i was looking through mcgill's site and needed to check out fees.am i suppose to select "msc full time" or "masters thesis evaluation". .my intended course is msc thesis..or better still whats the difference.
I think MSc is professional while Master's Thesis Evaluation is research based.
With MSc, you stand the chance to gain more knowledge professionally and could be rewarded for that in your company after graduation, whereas thesis based would give you the opportunity to forge ahead as an academics; in teaching and research.
For the Full time, applicants are advised to go for full time program to be eligible for post graduate work permit after graduation.

Naijaforeigner:
Apologies for my late reply.

Background check: They check your documents to be sure they are genuine, they also check for information you filled in the IMM form, to be sure they are correct, they sometimes check for criminal records and so forth.

Review of Eligibility: Is the applicant applying for the right visa? Is the applicant applying from the right territory? Is the applicant qualified? Does the applicant have all the documents before they process further? Any mistake at this stage can lead to automatic refusal depending on the VO handling the application.

Applications can be refused immediately or take forever depending on so many factors.
Are there back log of applications? Can they easily verify the documents the applicant has submitted? Where is the applicant applying from? Who is the applicant? Do they need to further verify some information?

The documents submitted by the applicant needs to be verified and sometimes these processes are not carried out by CIC, they may need to contact your bank, home office if applying from UK, their medical team, your school in some cases and so forth.

For example, someone close to me on this forum (she lives in Nigeria) applied for SOWP and she decided to submit the application in Canada. Her hubby is in Canada.
The VO had to return the documents and told her to re-submit in Nigeria and not Canada. Some VO’s will automatically deny the application at this stage (This also falls under eligibility review).

A single mistake on the IMM form can make them reject an application in weeks or months depending on who the VO handling the application is.

Another example, a student here in Canada applied for study permit renewal. She made a mistake on her IMM form and she was denied after waiting for 7 weeks. She had to reapply again before she was approved. The sad part is, when you are denied TRV in Canada and asked to reapply, you cannot study or work during the process.

These VO’s are not predictable.
Thank you so much. God bless you.

Naijaforeigner:
you know this is not true right?

There are countless friends in UK that got their visas approved within 8 weeks and some got approved/ delayed in 5, 10, 12 weeks. Every application is unique.

Your background check is what made your application take so long.
Hello,

Please, based on your response. I would like to ask some questions I had been wondering about;

What is the difference between Review of eligibility and Background check as it relate to Canadian visa?

What are being checked under both?

Why is it that some visa application take more than specified time to be approved and some refused less than a month after they applied?

I know you are not a VO, but experience count. Not for Naijaforeiner alone, please, other gurus let's hear from you.

Thank you.

Good Morning everyone,

Thank you for the mail.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Educational Management with five years of teaching experience and currently working as the Head of School in my place of work.

Of course, there are lots of other universities but I'm planning to resume by Winter 2020. I intend to apply for a study permit by the end of September. I don't think I can get any offer of admission for Winter in Canada within this short period of time. Please advise if you know of anyone sir.

I want to study Education-related courses preferably, early childhood or educational leadership and planning. I have started with my findings on how to get a suitable school.

Thank you so much.
