pls we should know that Yoruba,Igbo or Hausa, etc. are not ti be called tribes. They are nations. Fir instance Yoruba nation has several tribes: Oyo, Ife, Egba, Ekiti,etc. Mmany of the other nation we have in the country also have tribes with distinctive dialects.

It points to the fact that nations within the geographical territory we call Nigeria were just bundled together without a Social Contract, a questionable independence that is now managed with so many problems of disunity stemming from the wrong foundation on 'one Nigeria' that is not favourable to all.

I would rather he said if any immigrant is within or about coming into the US was traced to any act of terrorism in the guise of any religion must never be allowed in the US. If such a fellow was already within and has gained citizenship, he'll automatically be relieved of it and sent back to wherever the hell he came from. He shouldn't direct the move to a particular religious adherent.

The problem with the so called one Nigeria is that regions that are supposed to be independent are now living with others with views that are diametrically opposed to theirs. There wouldn't be problem if that is what the North wants in their North and not Nigeria as a whole because we are not running a regional constitution. We need to operate regionally as it normally should or we are never together as a people of one Nigeria for every region to live as his common sense, tradition or religion appeals to him. They prefer the same cattle herding life of their illiterate parents unlike the children of their illiterate yoruba hosts. They mostly don't want to embrace change against the status quo of their exclusive cultural transmission that is now becoming an obsolete cattle herding system.

Were the criminals responsible for the destruction of Olu Falae's farmland? Of what gain is destruction of farmland to criminals? Sponsored criminals can be hired to settle scores on rivals.

* Several days after, the security agencies arrested some youths suspected to be behind Olu's kidnap.

* Security agencies maintained their stance that fulani herdsmen were never responsible for the kidnapp. Blaming it on criminals.

* Northern groups all rise in defence of fulani herdsmen. They also accused Olu Falae of trying to raise unnecessary ethinc tension in the country. The Northern groups all spoke in unison with the police.

* Olu Falae, the victim of kidnap, persistent violence and conflict on his farmland with fulani herdsmen was made to look like a tribal trouble maker trying to create tension.


These and more are some of the happenings surrounding Olu Falae's kidnap.

It is on record that in the middle belt, hundreds of farmland are being destroyed yearly for no reason by fulani herdmen without any form of provocation. There's an EYE WITNESS ACCOUNT of a farmer in the middle belt who lost all his farm produce to fulani herdmen. These people came in broad daylight with their cows and started grazzing on his crops for no reason. The farmer on sighting this, rush out to confront the fulanis. Unfortunately for him, the fulanis were armed to the teeth. They started shooting on sighting him. The farmer had to run for his dear life. What even made matters worse that day was the rain. It was raining heavily that afternoon when the fulanis came with their cows and started grazing on the poor farmer's crops. Deliberate destruction of farmlands is still ungoing in the middle belt by these people.

From the above observations, it is very clear that there's a conspiracy by unseen people to shutup Olu Falae's kidnap with the tag CRIMINALS.
That they were criminals is a contrivance for the gullible. Criminals don't just come from the blues to commit crime anywhere. They must have had a form of familiarity or 'collaborators' already on ground. Either ways what has been their business in Ondo State before the 'crime'.

Why cant the Fulani's be encouraged to adopt the ranching system, why is it that we like being at the backwaters in all facet of life. The ranching system is truly the way to go, but with our narrow silly way of doing things they might just resist doing it claiming it is not their traditional way of of life. Come to think of it, we are in no way close to Argentina in beef production yet you don't see herdsmen on their roads or cattle's rummaging on peoples farmlands. The world over, ranching is the norm, their forefathers were once nomads yet they have shifted far far away from those practices and adopted modern and better ways of rearing cattle. The Fulani man is in no way interested in such changes.
You've said it all. If they reject modernity with claims on their tradition, no problem. They should remain in their tradition but be prepared to practice in their traditional territory. Freedom of movement does not imply anyone that anyone should trample on the rights of his host community in the country. Their ways are simply at variant with our modern view as regards farming. I run a mechanized farm that their activities have adversely affected besides having a close shave encounter with them.

The Yoruba has no problem cohabiting with anyone as long as he wants to subsist and let others live and vice versa in their domain.

How do you rationalize an agrarian and a herdsman cohabit without conflict? The only solution is for herdsmen to embrace change! Herdsmen from anywhere or 'tribe' in the country should embrace modern animal husbandry as against the age long tradition of herding cattle. For how long will they continue in this business that Nigerian youths cannot do as paid jobs with certificates as it's done in other climes with modern methods. We're no where in world ranking in beef production or dairy products...in Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe that have embraced modern methods are doing far better.

What the supporters or sympathizers of herdsmen with obsolete system of cattle rearing fail to understand is that they are directly a factor against food security and farmers productivity. Part of the reasons for high price and scarcity of farm produce. If anyone is staunchly in support of them, I wonder if such persons will be so proud to have a son as herdsman of these likes or those operating like our former president OBJ and Audu Ogbe with a modern cattle ranches/ animal husbandry.

You won't imagine that their educated ones in the law making chamber once make a case for grazing zones, a very useless system in this modern day, in other peoples land because we find ourselves together in one nigeria that should not have being in the first place. Restructuring of the country's governing system with recourse to the rights of the numerous nationalities of the geopolitical zones of the country remains the true change the country need.

They caused grave damage and got away with it. I know of my own experience but there are numerous unknown others who were as unlucky as their ravaged crops in the hands of these demons. As for me I will no longer report anywhere but act beyond human reasoning to protect my own.

With so much obvious imbalances and injustices on their region, they are by far better of without us or other regions. one Naija is just a sentiments that no one can prove its true worth to aggrieved regions. Wearing of trousers by Nigerian ladies has generated a lot of controversies. People have continued to argue if the practice is sinful or not.
Ladies on trouser?

While some churches welcome and promote it, others preach against it. Those who are against it base their stand on Deuteronomy 22: 5, which says: “The woman shall not wear that which pertains to a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.”

Churches, which do not condemn wearing of trousers by women, believe that grace has put an end to such law.

Some people, especially young females, decide the church they will attend based on whether wearing of trousers is allowed or not.
Moderation and decency is key however one dresses. Besides the quoted scripture could imply a particular clothe worn by a man or woman should not be worn by another woman or a man respectively. There are so many cultures with peculiar dress patterns. Scot men wear their traditional skirts that other cultures restrict to their females...I believe that scripture verse is either misinterpreted or it cannot be generally applied. Just my opinion that is fallible.
