Career › Re: My Boss Calls Me All The Time. by alizma: 2:42pm On Oct 02, 2023 |
Opanka44: Good day my beautiful people here. Nairaland is my Family because I don't have a physical/Blood-related family and I believe I'll get the appropriate counsel here.
So, I work as a teacher of Mathematics in a Private School. The school is almost 3years since it's establishment while I'm over 2years working there.
My Employers(Husband & wife) are the Best you can ever have as far as the teaching job is concerned. They pay on time and are easygoing people. However, almost all the staff(42 staff) aren't happy with the fact that they give parents and students more concern at the detriment of the staff. As in, you can't get into a conflict with a learner or parent & ever expect to win the case even when it is obvious you're Right.
They allow the parents to decide what goes on in the school. And this isn't going down well with many of the staff. Parents moan a lot when u give them such chance. At a point I had to tell my boss that I was resigning, but he pleaded with me to stay and I stayed. But I'm really getting fed up.
The other thing is his incessant and unsolicited calls. I've worked in Eight schools in four different states of this country & I hate to be friends with my employers cos I have learnt a lot based on my previous experiences.
Such relationship doesn't end well cos I'm always at the receiving end. Truth is, I love the sch so much. The pay is not even up to 40k but I bless God. Aside doing my job, I also advise him on way forward as regards the sch. I even won the Best teacher's award last session.
I feel really uncomfortable with the way he calls me everyday even on weekends and odd hours. I no longer have my Privacy. He calls for very trivial reasons and it's about what I should do, how parents are complaining about some particular issues.
You hardly get applause for been dedicated to work. He is so quick to criticize, but never gives credit when he should. No matter how perfect you are at your job, once there's one little stain on it, it has dented every other good deeds. It's really so demoralizing and we the staff are not happy. There's no staff there that isn't hardworking, so why not overlook a few mistakes? I understand it's Business but his staff are also humans.
At times, I will have to either put off my two phones or put the phones on DND so as to avoid his calls. He has all my three lines. I had to stylishly ask some other close colleagues of mine if they also received such numerous calls form our Boss, but they said No.
So why is mine different? If he calls you everytime on issues about the school and would beg you not to go, technically you have become a shareholder in the school, ask for increase in your salary, at least with that you know that your stress is not in vain. |

The Nigeria media speaks volume of what we are trying to let some Nigerians understand when it comes to governance. The masses are the most corrupt not the few individuals in government, besides, the few individuals were elected out of the masses, they didn't practice what they are doing in government when they got there, the platform only give them relative protection to carelessly, without fear, carry out what they are used to when they were among the masses. If actually the government are the problem, we would have a limited time to overcome corruption of all kinds but because the reverse is the case, it becomes difficult to overcome. The other Media houses that carried fake news most have collected money to set the people against each other without concerned for the negative implications such as protest, riot etc that may follow. If the masses could overcome Ebola without much medical support from the government, cause the government to disband SARS, institute Case against naira Marley and Samy Larry without going to any police station or court. The masses can stop corruption. |

Cogs: Hi guys,
This subject is important to me and I need some kinda mature advise and some funny ones as our custom is over here.
So, I have been in this house that I live for a while, everything has been going on smoothly. But, recently some guy moved in to the flat directly beside mine, this guy is single, and looks great and a lot of things changed.
Fast forward to the present day, this guy has this girl who comes around every weekend and sometimes during the week and I have been working from home throughout this month and I my ear is full really. They have sex almost every minute and the lady moans really loud, I can't get in between them na. Some times, if there is light, I play music very loud, to help protect the other neighbours from participating in their ceremony as their young teenagers also in the compound.
But guys, the frequent moaning sound is kinda tormenting. I am not single, I have a girl, we are practicing celibacy, but Omo!
Guys, how can I manage this kind of situation please? I once had such neighbor, that was during my NYSC days, the worst thing was that there was a linking door between my room and hers. Anytime the boyfriend is around, I had to leave my room because even as far as the next compound, you can still her voice as she moan. Just move out once they start, e no go last forever. |

No be poor man dey consider to use 12 Pro max, talkless of 15 Pro You obviously don't know how people go about certain gadgets/electronics. There are guys/girls out there with these phones but ask them to show you their account balance or business and you will be surprised at what you will see. Some people just have that spirit to get the latest gadget, not necessarily that they have financial back up to justify them buy those gadgets. |

Perhaps so, if and only if they have not come across the red Pillers.
The truth is, this is only an effort to preserve and project a dying tradition. Obviously these are not virgins. I'm a woman and I can tell first hand. .they didn't send you to start olosho business at the age of 14, so keep your frustration to yourself. Those girls undergo certain checks/test before they were allowed to joined the group, some of their mates were among the spectators that day because they failed the virginity test. I do not expect more from a man who stand before the congregation and announced that he was born to lie. Mohbad may not had lived an expected life but this is a boy that came out of broken home, a boy who had engaged in one thing or the other to make things good for himself until he found himself in the circle of bad friends. Aside this, any reasonable person that listen to one or two of his songs will not find it hard to notice the pure but already stained heart he was carrying. Listening to his song will tell that there is a being, better that what his image, circle or society around him represent. He was human before he becomes whatever he died as , that human in him is what the people are asking for justice for Many pastors today were once court members, herbalist, armed rubbers etc but today they are changed individuals that have make positive impact in other people's lives. If given the chance, Mohbad could be one of such changed person's in future. https://fb.watch/ninmVC6XQZ/?mibextid=Nif5oz |

Family › Re: I Sell My Properties Whenever I Go Broke, Is It Spirtual? by alizma: 3:44pm On Sep 25, 2023 |
KiNg0G: I am not here for financial aid but help from people who have overcome such problems.
I can't help but think, when I get married with a wife and kids to feed, is this how I am going to continue? How will my family respect me.
This is the 3rd time of me replacing my tv set in the last 2years. Whenever I run out of money, I search for anything valuable to sell in my home, with the mindset that I will replace it. Which I normally do but sometimes it takes time because i know i might sell it again within some weeks. This is getting on me deeply with the number of cartons of phones and receipts from same equipments I no longer have. My generator is another thing to talk about that my neighbors and landlord are starting to gossip because I can't explain changing of generator to and fro when its always placed outside.
I know I need help but don't know how to go about this. I am not here for financial assistance as claimed by some peoples in anyway please, some of us seek for ways to stop some certain things when we know we are falling off tracks.
I am on my way to lg office to replace my TV for the third time and the thought of it warrants this post. The day a madman know his problem, that same day he gets his healing. From now on you are free, just take one bold step by telling yourself that from now on, no amount of hardship will make you sell any of your properties. That is all and it is settled. If you allow anyone to deceive you by asking you to bring money so that they will wash your head to avoid reoccurrence, yet without making the key decision within yourself, I bet you will go back to doing the same thing earlier than before. Do you know you can actually sell your 3rd leg for money? But you choose not to because you have take that one out of the shelf of things you can trade for money. Make similar decision with your properties and you will it works. In addition, get a job that is relatively stable or if you are business person, open one account to take care of your difficult days, more so, don't wait till your account is 00 before you admit that you are broke. Set a minimum balance for yourself. For example, you can see yourself as broke the moment your account balance hit 100k, 50k, 200k, 20k etc, depending on you. With this, you will see yourself seriously looking for more money the moment your account balance is going down towards that limit, this will help you never to or hardly get to 00k at any point in time. Success |
