Alhaji, Beaf is a jobless clown and a mischief-maker motivated by ethnic bigotry. The moment Nairalanders learn to see him as such is the minute you understand that he is best viewed as a source of comedy relief. He does not stand for anything and , like GEJ, deception and treachery is the name of his game. Let me prove my point easily . Below , Beaf is praising Papabrowne , his kinsman , shamelessly :

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-723603.32.html

Yet the same Papabrowne , when I took him on, confessed that he deceived folks deliberately with "spin and spell strategy" just so his kinsman could win the Presidential election.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-644476.192.html

Papabrowne even confessed to cynically and callously using the unfortunate and regrettable death of innocent Nigerians to deliberately perpetuate propaganda in the deceptive thread he started regarding taking Buhari and bakare to court for murder;

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-644476.192.html

Abeg, Nairalanders , what "moral and upright person" confesses to using the death of innocent Nigerians for "spin and spell strategy" ? What can we then conclude about those who are willing to testify to the "uprightness" of their kinsman who has no qualms with using the unfortunate death of Nigerians in a sick propaganda game? The best thing is for Nairalanders to ignore toxic 'local champions' , driven by nothing but sheer bigotry, like  Beaf and Papabrowne. Or , at best, reduce them to providers of comic relief. They are , like most GEJ fans, discredited jokers. The last thing anyone should do is take them seriously or fall for their rudimentary propaganda.
Good job, We all knew the hypocrite beaf. It is just a shame that Nigerians fell for his deceit

Papabrown even said he had to deceive people for Jonathan to win only for him to laugh at us Nigerians cry cry

Na God go deliever us for this Nigerians that keep pulling us back when we want to move forward

are you going to argue with a ghana boy about who knows ghana better? "Anago" is a derogatory slang term used to refer to nigeria as a whole. Much like "Alata" But unlike Alata (which is a benign term) Anago is malicious, and intended to be offensive. So if you go to Ghana and someone refers to you as "Anago", be offended! grin

I repeat. There is NO Yoruba speaking group in Ghana. The Ga-Dangbe Tribe (a small tribe only significant because theirs is the land on which the capital Accra was built)  are the ones said to have moved to Ghana from the Yoruba area of Nigeria. They originally came from East Africa (around modern day Sudan), stopped over in Yorubaland for about half a century and Moved on to their present location, in Ghana. They don't speak Yoruba. They speak Ga.

Interestingly, the Gas have the same reputation in Ghana as the yorubas have in nigeria it seems. On the negative side, Gas are regarded as lazy, dirty, and untrustworthy. On the plus side, they are well educated.
yes you are a igbo Ghanaian wink grin grin grin

It cant be 18% Ibo, 21% Yoruba, 29% Hausa forever. I acknowledge that this percentage has always been funny from the beginning. Ifso, Igbo and Yoruba could have easily been labelled minorities based on percentage since allegedly one in every 3 Nigerians is Hausa. Lie, lie. I wont believe such. Nigeria better take an accurate and fair census.
true

well agreed but I don't think there have ethnic census since 1960's or so

I think it is just a rough estimate based on land mass undecided

I don't think Nigeria would have any ethnic census again as it is done by state now not by ethnic groups

thanks for the chat

All these lists are bullsh*t.The only mineral resource that runs Nigeria is oil and it is found mostly in Rivers and Delta States with fringes in Imo,Abia,Bayelsa and Akwa-Ibom State.

A lot of politics has been played with the oil including assigning offshore wells of beyond 40 nautical miles to States in order to make them oil-producing.The best thing is to stop oil production and focus on these minerals in our imaginary list.
I concur

No it is no longer that way. Percentages always change. That link percentage was introduced in 1999 (if i may recall). Also remember the percentage of the Igbos has always been deflated inorder to give others a boost (ie Hausa). There are anywhere from 32-37 million Igbos in Nigeria. You do the math.

Its most likely Yoruba 23-25 , Igbo 21-25, Hausa 26 or 27.
Hmmmmm. no i don't think i believe those figures as there is not data to prove it right undecided

well thanks for the response

As for cannibalism, I do not have a link atm, but what I am telling you is first-hand evidence. My people and our allies (aro, Abakiliki, Ohafia, Abriba) had and sill have Ibibio, Efik, Ekoi and etc neighbours that used to practice cannibalism in the old days and such practices have always been a atboo in our lands. You are free to search it on google however. I hope this clears any doubts you may have.
I am sure this is not for me as I am not ignorant enough to talk of cannibalism when the thread is talking about igbo or ibo wink

This Igbo/Ibo debate makes me think we Africans are fools.Spelling of words in a Roman writing should never be our problem as long as we understand the message being convered.English,Anglais,Angle etc etc is the same thing just like French,Francais,German,Deutsh.Whether we call it Ivory Coast or Cote D'Ivoire etc,we all mean the same thing.

Even the word Igbo was not accepted in pre-colonial times by most of the present day Igbos,so why the hullabaloo?
thank you.

I find this annoying for some internet people to be forcing us to spell it as IGBO when in Nigeria at times but on the news, presidential announcment etc it is IBO

Unless proven otherwise and made publicly known, no one should tell others what to spell it as

most ecspecially when majority of igbo musicians and writers spell it as IBO

No, nowadays such things dont happen. In the olden days, it was rare for Igbos to eat other people but nowadays it is forbidden for a man to eat another in all of Igboland. But remember, not all Igbo groups practiced Canibalism, often those groups at the fringes of Igboland were influenced by Cannibalistic neighbours (Ibibios, Efiks, Ekois, etc).
please give us a link to back that up thanks it would be well appreciated

The natural resources of Maidugury = bombs.

The above is the story of Nigeria. What is the purpose of resources when the will to be educated and intelligence to harness them are lacking?

Hausa is easier to learn

and I must put Igbo language is the hardest to learn In nigeria because of the different dialect and different phrases which means the same thing

But igbo language is certainly interesting to learn if you are dedicated cheesy I understand Hausa, yoruba and basic igbo as well

i am in the process myself. I have learnt a few phrases and sentences myself and i must say it is not easy

That is the inequality that needs to be addressed first. As we speak, illegal gold mining is ongoing in Osun and Niger and Zamfara and Sokoto
Zamfara folks went on illegal lead mining and 400 of them died of lead poisoning following seepage into drinking well waters[/quote]Ok i see you point

but it all boils down to whether we have a good resource monitory system that can crack down on this people. We can not say crude oil is for all and yet say other mineral resource is for individual states.

Before all this is done the FG has to have a good system to make sure people do not vandalise this sites as the case of zamfara

i believe this would put less pressure of oil producing states and in short. it would out an end to MEND and other states are contributing there quarter as well

The Savanna vegetation would support mineralization activity than heavy rainfall areas wheremineralization will more easily be followed by increased weathering activities that degrade solid minerals.

I brought out this list for us Nigerians to be reflective of the fact that upon all this, an average Nigerian is still suffering. Our roads are bad. The Government does not want to pay the minimum wage of just 18,000N which amounts to nothing. Nigeria has a lot of potentials and have been under explored by out Government.
