Has Fashola shown the will to be a Mugabe, Ghadafi or Nyerere and not a rubber stamp for the West at UN security council that GEJ has become who doesnt even have the will to abstain from voting western frivolities like the BRICS.
Can Fashola go against the wishes of America, France and Britain on the international stage like Chavez of Venezuela or Lula Da Silva of Brazil.
Can Fashola say to Shell and Chevron 'go clean up your mess in Niger Delta' and review their contracts in Nigeria?
Can Fashola tell the Emirs in the North 'kai mallam every child must be in school and ban Almajirism and royal servitude'
Can Fashola say to the South East 'we must bring back the glory of Aba and work towards its rapid  reindustrialization?
Its about asking questions about the international stage which is entirely different.
Has he been put in those situations ?

Was GEJ put into those situations before he became the president ?

Moreover, Multi-nationals come to lagos all the time even Cameron went to Lagos and meet with Fashola the other day

Alhaji, good job but you are wasting your time. Nigerians just love showing to the world that we don't do things logically in our Country. Instead we prefer to view everything with sentiments and one bias (ethnicity) or the other( religion). This is what landed us with GEJ when two austere, prudent and brave men (exactly what Nigeria needed) ran in the same election.

Go to some African Countries today and you will marvel at the sophistication of their political election discussions. Issues will be about the performance, history of competence, achievements, ideological leanings of candidates and other solid parameters that shows who is likely to run Nations well!!!! The proof that this political sophistication , seen elsewhere, is bearing fruit can be seen in the laudable progress other African nations are beginning to make while Nigeria stagnates badly!!!

In a topic like it is amazing anyone , with a straight face, can make make a case for GEJ. That , if any is required, is the ultimate proof we are far from gaining genuinely transformational leaders.

For me, for the fact that Fashola is performing now dosent mean that he can do well or not at the Federal level. One thing we must realise is that the job of a president is very complex and no matter how clean and well-intended the occupier maybe, it's still hard to have faith in them. Fashola manages a state with less bureacracy unlike that Jonathan does. Well, you never know untill he's in.

And if you talk about godfathers in PDP, I also believe that there are godfathers too in ACN. Sentiments aside.
Rubbish post really

Yes Lagos is 1 out of 36 states but it is a very good projection of what he can do in all 36 states. Do you know what projections and statistical analysis is ?. You create a small model and see if it works before going large. Gooooshhhhh!!!!!

Politics › Dangote Cement Capitalisation Hits $15 Billion, Says Paramjit by aljharem3(op): 4:27pm On Oct 17, 2011
By Emma Ujah, Abuja Bureau Chief

Dangote Cement capitalisation has hit a whopping $15 billion and the company would single-handedly surpass Nigeria’s entire cement need which stands at about 17 million metric tons annually, before the end of next year.

Dangote Group’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Mr. Pabby Paramjit disclosed this at the inauguration of Dangote Academy’s Graduate Engineer Trainees Scheme, GETS, at the Obajana Cement plant, Kogi State, at the weekend.

He put Dangote’s current cement output at about 12 million metric tons per annum and that a new cement plant at Ibere, Ogun State would soon come on stream with another six million metric tons, annually. The third phase of the Obajana Cement Plant, he disclosed, would soon be commissioned and therefore boost output of the commodity.

He said that the vision of the President of the Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote was to grow the cement segment of the business empire into an international organisation that would export cement from Nigeria to the West African sub-regional market within the next four years.

According to him, cement accounted for 80 per cent of Dangote Group’s business, while non-cement segment such as the flour mills, water, juice, pasta and bag account for the remaining 20 per cent. Mr. Paramjit said Alhaji Dangote decided to establish the Dangote Academy in recognition of the important roles personnel play in building great companies around the world.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote
“Money, machinery and men are the most important factors in the business. People are the most important of these factors because people make the money and machinery work,” he said. The human resource chief said Dangote Academy was established for further skill development among young engineering graduates who would be trained for the period of one year and then given the opportunity for a career in the Dangote Group.

The 30 young engineers, he said, were selected from among the best in their schools and the National Youth Service Corps camps and would receive intensive practical training in the Group’s various plants across the country. The 30 young graduates would undergo training covering basic technology, plant operation, ICT, and supervisory skills to enable them become effective line managers at the end of the course.

Mr. Paramjit disclosed that the scheme was designed to continue to attract young and brilliant graduates to the Dangote Group; develop the future leaders of the company for effective succession plan; and build the business vision, values and ethics into character and behaviour of its future leaders.

The future plan for the programme, he said, would be to bring all training and development efforts of the Group under the Dangote Academy, for which a large campus with training rooms, workshops, library and internet facilities, is being constructed in the cement town of Obajana.

In his remarks, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Obajana Cement plant, Mr. Jagat Rathee, said that by 2015, Dangote Cement would hit a production target of 50 million metric tons per annum out of which 20 million metric tons would be sold in Nigeria and the rest would be exported to other countries.

He said negotiations had commenced for the establishment of Integrated Cement plants by the Group in Cameroun, Congo, Senegal and would capture several other African countries in the years ahead.

Honestly, it is really boring to have to revert to this Lagos matter all the time. The term, core-North has nothing to do with Islam, otherwise Kwara would be classified as core-North. Your definition fails.
The core-North refers to states that are predominantly Hausa-Fulani or are strongly allied to the Hausa-Fulani.
Very very misleading and wrong

1.) There is nothing like CORE NORTH, it is either the south or the north

Now in the north we have 3 geopolitical zones partially based on ethnicity which are

the North west mainly the hausa and fulanis

The North East mainly the Kanuris with Jukun, hausawa and Fulani

The North central or middle belt which are mainly the Nupe, idoma, Yoruba and fulani with other minorities

@ Depilot

I don't think an educated north would be a treat to anyone but I must point out that it would cause more division in the north.

What unites the North right now is Islam. Educating the north would make more kafars aka unbelievers that would be doing Oyinbo things and this would cause more more harm than good.

I know what I am talking about, The north is at the advantage the way it is right now. Easy to join the military etc.

What we can do to be more advantageous is to make more of those almajiri join the military while the few educated one go into the politics, banking and the OIL sector.

Also they should always provide free amenities for the northern citizens eg water, electricity etc.

Education Might have a profound effect on us. I would strongly advice us not to play like we are smart but play with humility and gradually, we would see the light Insha Allah.

Note :- these are just solutions to the education and almajiri problems we have
