Where were you when the same lack of respect Odechukwu labeled Yoruba people and their leaders RASCALS?

Respect cuts both ways.
a beg shattap dia tinubu as.slicker

SHOW ME WHERE JONATHAN CALLED YORUBA LEADERS RASCALS

you people allowed tinubu to turn a Mr president's statement for political power

How does

save SW from rascals = save SW from Yoruba rascally leaders

Always allowing  Tinubu to dictate the turn of events in the SW.

MR PRESIDENT NEVER FOR ONCE INSULTED YORUBAS OR THEIR LEADERS. It is tinubu aka the nation that turned it around

Ahlaji, some Yorubas have lost it on this forum. They keep insulting the elderly. I thought respect was part of the core values of the Yorubas. Its is a shame!! Don't defend them.
I agree, Dayokanu is getting annoying what is rain of insult on Jonathan. but the way always turn things to ethnic issue bits me.

For once in there low lifes, let them relax and post objectively instead of subjecting every issue to ethnic or tribal ranting.

These are the kind of idiotic posts you find here on NL. You come here and insult a whole tribe's mode of dressing because you are God abi? So you think your tribe dresses better or are superior in some way abi? You just show that you are immature and unintelligent. You also show you have never travelled out of the hole where you live. So shallow minded and a complete dunce. And you call someone the age of your father a retardeen and you think you sound fashionable or smart? You have no clue how low level you are. You are only laying up curses for yourself in the future because every lousy insult you dish out will bring pains to you. Especially when you insult a whole tribe of people in ungodly arrogance. Pride goeth before a fall!
this is the kind of ideeiotic post we read from Nler like YOU !!!!

How is he insulting a whole tribe ? Or do you think Jonathans ethnic group are the only ones wearing wrapper and hat ?

May be you should look at other yoruba groups that dress similally. AWORI, ILAJE, MAHIN, ITSEKIRIs

all these group wear hat and wrapper. u mumu.

AWORIS FOR YOU

Explosions Rock Asaba

By Austin Ogwuda & Bulou Kosin

Asaba-THERE was pandemonium in Asaba, Delta State capital, yesterday, following explosions on the busy Nnebisi Road, where commercial banks are concentrated.

As a result of the explosions, bankers and bank customers ran helter-skelter. Passersby were not left out as traffic was temporary disrupted for about 30 minutes as they thought that armed robbers had struck.

When the dust settled down, three persons were arrested over the incident. The two explosions occurred within Konwea Plaza axis.

Vanguard gathered that some persons allegedly used dynamites to blow up the base of a GSM mast in the area. One of the persons involved was injured. He was arrested by policemen manning the banks in the area along with two other persons and taken to Police ‘A’ Division Asaba for questioning.

Ironically, the policemen who effected the arrest were among those who ran for cover when the dynamites went-off.

Pedestrians and motorists scampered for safety while bus drivers abandoned their buses right in the middle of the road and fled as debris rained down on the roof of banks and houses in the area.

The explosion came barely three days after the Commissioner in charge of Anti-Bomb Command, Mr. Ambrose Aisabor, led his team to Delta State on inspection tour, promising to ensure full protection of the state from bomb threats.

Politics › Remi Tinubu Loses Bid To Quash Lp’s Appeal by aljharem3(op): 1:40am On Oct 20, 2011
By INNOCENT ANABA
LAGOS— Senator Oluremi Tinubu of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, yesterday, lost her bid to have the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos dismiss the appeal by Labour Party, LP, challenging the judgment of the lower election tribunal which upheld her election for the Lagos Central Senatorial District.

LP had through its counsel prayed the court to set aside the ruling of the tribunal which sat at Igbosere, Lagos.

At the hearing in the appeal, yesterday, Tinubu’s counsel, Mr Olabode Olanipekun, prayed the court to strike out the motion by LP seeking for extension of time to file its brief and compile record of appeal.

Olanipekun argued that the appellant was already out of time, while no explanation had been given to justify granting an extension of time.

LP’s counsel, Chief Chukwuma, SAN, who prayed the court not to dismiss the application in the interest of justice, argued that it was not the position of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal to punish applicant based on the sin of counsel.

He said the public holidays and Sundays were not to be counted as part of the time within which the appellant must file its brief.

Justice Helen Ogunwumiju, in her ruling, said although the appellant was out of time in filing its brief, it was the duty of the court to do substantial justice to all election petitions.

The court observed that the 60 days allowed by the Electoral Act to hear appeal arising from the tribunal had not lapsed hence the appellant should not be denied the opportunity to regularise its brief.

OWERRI—The death toll in the flood disaster currently rocking Okwuamarihe and Amanachi communities in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State has risen to 10.

Similarly, over 50,000 families have also been sacked from their ancestral homes by flood, while several houses have been submerged in the disaster.

Narrating the ordeal of his people to newsmen, the traditional ruler, Eze Mike Ebighi, lamented that property conservatively put at over N1 billion have been destroyed.

He regretted that some of his kinsmen have relocated to safer grounds in neighbouring towns, adding that apart from being a danger zone, the people were facing intense hardship and abject poverty.

The royal father traced the origin of the flood to the construction of the Ihiala-Orlu federal highway that passes through the community, stressing that no proper channelisation of flood was incorporated in the design.

He recalled with grief that water-borne diseases had become a regular feature in the community, adding that a recent outbreak of yellow fever claimed several lives in the area.

Speaking also, one of the flood victims, Mr. Godwin Ashiegbunam, said his property had been destroyed by the flood and called on the state government to quickly come to their aid.

WARRI— PROMOTERS for the creation of Toru-Ibe State have appealed to the governments and opinion leaders in Edo, Delta and Ondo states not to misinform or mislead Nigerians about their agitation.

Labour Party, LP, candidate for Warri North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly in the April 26 poll, Mr. Adanse Felix, said the agitation was about self-determination and for the Ijaw in those areas to have a state where they can freely vote and be voted for in elections.

He said: “We appeal to monarchs as well as the government of Edo and Delta states not to misinform and mislead Nigerians about Toru-Ibe State. The suffering of the Ijaw in these states is nothing more than slavery and enslavement.

“The only solution to save these fellow oppressed Nigerians is the creation of Toru-Ibe State. Its creation will certainly bring about peace and tranquility in the ever restive Niger Delta region.

“We also want to correct an impression created that the Ijaw are tenants. Let us state here that Ijaws are the aborigines of the Niger Delta including the lands they are living on.”

“What interest do these false claimants have to keep the Ijaw in Edo and Delta states? Is it to keep us in perpetual slavery, oppression, intimidation and marginalisation?”

What the Ijaw want is a state of their own, where they can develop themselves and leave peacefully with neighbours in other states.”

Whats all this Yoruba are cowards talk about?  Which group of people ran out of Lagos during the June 12 imbroglio to avoid the many battles against the govt then? Which group fought IBB and Abacha and why did it become necessary to make a Yoruba man the president in 2003? Is it not due to diplomacy and silent war? Forget old history of the ancient wars which gave rise to a large empire. Is Benjamin Adekunle who terrorised Biafra an Igbo man? The thing is Yorubas after many years of wars have learnt better ways of dealing with their problems ( probably the reason why most Naija human rights activists are Yoruba). Apart from that, Yorubas are hospitable people in their own land and expect to live in peace wherever they go otherwise they relocate. Those who choose to make their towns difficult to live in should be ready to face economic downturn.

BTW how come Igbos in the North are relocating now that they are being killed by BH especially in Maiduguri? How about those killed for not being able to recite the Quran in Minna?  Why didnt their brothers take up arms against the hausas there? Why dont you fight for your right in another mans land?

And for those beating war drums, its clear you dont know much about past wars, the outcomes, effects and changes in society. Is Dokubo not a muslim? And Auchi people?

Soso yeye talk by ignorant people. Mscheeeewww!!
are u minding this silly people.

[size=14pt]Why are people allowing Beaf to instigate war and hate on groups of people because they have a different believe

SW,SS,SE Pls do not be deceived to start killing another human being. That is PDP way of life and Not Nigeria

I see Yorubas and Igbos supporting this move, WHY ?? is it because beaf said so ? Or because you people are just psychos that want to kill and see blood.

War is bad for any country especially a multi-ethnic one like Nigeria. DO NOT BE DECEIVED Killing would not solve anything other than MORE HATE. Is beaf ARES or what ? why is he excited at the event ? Or muslims are not part of Nigeria again ?
