The reason for the large number of patients in the two hospitals mentioned is the closure of Ayinke House in LASUTH for renovations which have lasted over 5 years. Because of this consultants from the teaching hospitals are now working in Ijaiye Ogba and Isolo GH and the once busy Ayinke is a construction site. Once they finish the renovations and the consultants move back the pressure will move back to Ayinke house. These two hospitals will become like other general hospitals in Lagos.

I work with cancer patients and I know it strikes anybody old or young, rich or poor, honest or corrupt. Some people writing nasty things here do not know whose turn is next. A friend of mine was laughing at someone with a stroke and even wished the person dead. His mother had a stroke less than six months later and he was devastated. Personally I would rather die of a heart attack or an accident than of cancer. It is one of the worst deaths any person can die.

It is sad, when I graduated half my class left the country. None could understand why I stayed behind. Do I regret it ? No but I am done, I have given all I have left in me. Before the system turns me into a bitter, mean person frustrated with myself and life. I have since heard that 2 other collegues are leaving too, in fact as we speak one of the teaching hospitals has lost its only heart surgeon, another hospital has lost its only ENT surgeon who also resigned, they are still begginghim to reconsider, But not to worry I am sure Indian doctors are lining up struggling to come to Nigeria to take up from the useless Nigerian doctors and I guess they are soo good they will treat for free sef.

Don't see a doctor see a urologist.

When I read some responses here on nairaland to some issues I shake my head some more. I finally resigned from the public health sector 2 weeks ago. I got to work and met over 50 patients behaving like Nigerians and wasI alone was to see them. When I finally finished at about 5 PM I went home wrote my resignation letter and dropped it off the next morning. In some ways I feel bad because I know we are very short staffed and there is no obvious replacement for me. I even had to turn away new patients last week because if I start seeing them I don't know what will happen to them after I leave as my collegues are already overworked and I know they will end up with things like 6,7 months appointments. Unfortunately my area of specialization is rare so replacements are few and far between. Some people will curse me out but I am tiredof working under terrible conditions and that when I do make an inevitable mistake nobody will say sorry rather my whole tribe will be cursed for generations.

Funny replies here. The fact is most men that molest their daughters in Nigeria never kissed them wether on the cheeks, the forehead or lips. They don't even kiss their wive sef. He didn't mention his wife and children but he said he would encourage his ministers and all appointees to do so before entering office. I really don't care if he does or doesn't do it publicly but people trying to pretend he never made these a campaign issue or its now a non issue because Jonathan didn't do it are being smart byhalf.

Prior to Sarakis trial were you aware that he declared his assets in 2003 and 2007? Was he not a part of the previous government? Even senior civil servants in Lagos state are required to declare their assets to the CCB. The late Yaradua and Jonathan did publicly in their first term. When Jonathan refused to make his public later on Nigerians took it up and he was called names. The President was the one that made a song about public declaration during his campaign and that's why people are calling him out.

They all did but none ever made a promise to make it public. The President made that as a campaign promise and even said he would encourage all his appointees to do same.

I guess prior to Deizani Kola Aluko was a jobless pauper. The fact that his company merge red with seven oil 3 years before she became minister or that a few years ago the Singaporean government invested $105 million into his business is all due to Deizanis influence.

Please see a gynaecologist and ask when she conceived. Pregnancy is counted from the last period and not from the day of conception. Oshiomole thinks pension funds are osusu which are just collected and kept and when the time is right given back to the owners. Pension funds world over are invested and bonds are one of the safest forms of investment. that is why after contributing only 20 a month you can expect a monthly pension 4 to 5 times the amount at the end of the day.

The mother you are all insulting was found with $2000 and £5000 an amount of money even broke ass moi can raise if I want to travel much less if I live in the Uk, which her mother does. £27000 is the total sum of money recovered from the 5 people arrested or detained and is being held till April next year while investigations are going on. If they are found not to be stolen funds it will be returned to them.

Me all I need to know is Saraki juju man or whatever that told him in 2003 to claim a building that was to be sold in 2007.

The only thing nobody has been able to tell me is how Saraki knew the property was to be sold in 2007 and claI med it in year 2000. Then declared it in 2003. Something doesn't add up with this whole story.

When LASUTH was renovated many people hailed tye government for the changes, the hospital was clean and for about 4 years a company named Deux ma in tailed it. It was great working there. About 4 years ago they stopped work and in a matter of weeks the place was looking unkempt. Somehow they reappeared, a few weeks ago I was told their contract was revoked. As of today when I went to work the place was looking terrible, toilets unclean and smelly, AC's broken down, fans and lights not working, I can just imagine what it will be like in another 3 months.Government is supposed to be a continuum all this bashing your predecessor and stopping contracts he has given should stop. I am not from Lagos State and know neither Fashola or Ambode. If my office is an example of what is going on in Lagos State then we are in for a long thing. Or rather Lagosins, I am on my way out.

How did they de radicalise them. Does that mean they are not going to be tried as prisoners of war or terrorism and are to be released

I hope all the people shouting sack them do not have civil servants as parents, brothers , sisters and other relations. If they do and their relations are sacked they should accept it as change too. Not claim that their own person is clean, I hope they will also accept it as a sacrifice they are making to a better Nigeria.

Corruption is stealing and stealing is corruption. The clerk asking for NN1000 egunge before he moves your file is the same guy when given the opportunity will steal in billions. So the NLC guys should be careful what they ask for because many of them are big theifs just waiting for an opportunity to steal big. Any civil servant that has property worth 20 times his annual salary, which he did not inherit from a rich relative or from genuine investment is also corrupt and deserves the same punishment.
