Here is the reply I got from a seller when I asked him for such an offer:
The mobile phone I wanted to order goes for 129 usd. I had asked him to split the payment into 80 usd and 49 usd to enable me pay with 2 different debit cards. He accepted split payments, but offered to make it 100 usd and 29 usd instead, on the condition that if the percel get lost in transit, I would only be entitled to 100 usd refund, but forfeit the 29 usd.

but sometimes u don't have a choice. like me i made an order recently and choose cainiao super economy and in the order message i beg the seller that if possible he should send it via yanwen because its more faster (i did that for many sellers and they consider it). But this seller went and choose 4px for me.

So on tracking i saw "YANWEN pick up scan" i just relax, after some days i track again and its changes between YANWEN, cainiao and 4px.

i then ask d seller which shipping method he used. He said 4PX, i just keep quiet and waiting for BP to expire.

if it comes on time good, but if not na straight to DISPUTE ooo.

Note: i usually receive my package shipped by yanwen mostly 2weeks after it arrives destination

I FINALLY GOT MY PHONE AFTER 2 FAILED ATTEMPTS

Attempt 1: HUAWEI P SMART 2019. I ordered on 27-03-20(before the nationwide lock down),
Shipped 28-03-20.
Arrived my local post office for pick up on 02-09-20, after buyer protection had ended and I had gotten my refund, and ordered a redmi 9. So I sold it. (big mistake)

Attempt 2: XIAOMI REDMI 9. Ordered on 13-07-20 during the mid-year sale, shipped on 15-07-20, dispatched to overseas country on 30-07-20. Up till now it's still on despatched to overseas.
Buyer protection ended, got a full refund, then waited for the 11.11 sale to make attempt 3(realme 6)

Attempt 3: REALME 6. Ordered during the 11.11 sale shipped about 2 days after(though logistics company declared 18-11-20),
Despatched to overseas on 25-11-20
Had hoped it would arrive before 25-11-20, but sadly it didn't.
Moved my time expectation to before the end of the year, but was disappointed.

To cut the narrative short, it arrived IMPC Ikeja 05-01-21
Got to my local post office yesterday (07-01-21)
Picked up today (08-01-21)
I finally have a phone. My tablet will rest a bit

Also picked up the 2 case I ordered for it today. Both arrived before the phone itself.
The One in the pix took roughly 25 days to arrive.

Please, there are some items that I will want to purchase but when I click on item and choose the specifications, I will see this item cannot be shipped to your country, is there any way to get around this without shipping to a friend in another country.

It might and it might not arrive that fast. But from my observations you should get your package in no more than one and half months if you use AESS.

For my last two orders, one got to me in about 1 month and a week. The other was just under a month.

For the current orders. Two were shipped about three days ago. One is already dispatched to Nigeria. The other is yet to be picked up by the carrier. The last one is sort of a scarce item, so it's taking the supplier some extra time to have it shipped.

I've noticed that there's been issues with items arriving in Nigeria and taking quite a while to get to local POs.
For my shipping address, I use the headquarters(shipping headquarters that is) of Nipost in Abuja. It's easy for me to drive over there and pick up the item. I feel that cuts off the extra processing time it would take to sort the item, move to the next post office and the next... before it gets to my PO. But this is purely anecdotal I don't have any hard facts to back it up.

Please, I will like to know an estimate of the additional custom duty paid for the phone that you purchased, I wanted to make a purchase but someone is telling me that the additional custom duty for the phone will make it more expensive than the price in local stores.

I have two orders that has been on "failed delivery" since August 19. Three weeks ago I was at the PO to show 'em the tracking info, but all I got was "we will contact you when we have the item". Up till now I have not been contacted.

Irresponsible and awkward lot in that PO.
