It is either they call it Chinese Version (Sealed with Chinese ROM) or Global ROM (unsealed Chinese Version with Global ROM) or Global Version.

Global Versions are usually more expensive.

UBA's rate is on the high side.. it's a visa card and they charge up to ₦450 per dollar..
I advice you get a zenith MasterCard..

It's your bank that you have business with. The payment was not processed thru AE, so the points of transaction was between you your bank via MasterCard.

Any complaints should be forwarded to the bank. UBA is one of the useless banks, so I'm not surprised you got such an ignorant answer to your request. If they still insist, threaten 'em that you'll mail them and copy CBN.

Failed payments on AE are treated like POS dispense error and CBN has already marked out the penalty for banks for failure of reversal within 72hrs. If it were to be GTB, all you need to do if you're still not refunded is to complete a "dispense error form" and the info you provided will be used to investigate. Within 10 working days you'll get refunded.

This has happened before. July 24th to be precise but I ignored it, hoping I will get a refund by now but I didn't.
I use a UBA visa card to place orders on AliExpress since GTB wahala started. On the 24th of last month, I tried to use a coupon, but the order payment was unsuccessful due to security reasons bla bla bla but the annoying part is that I was debited for an unsuccessful order. Up to now, no refund info have appeared on my order, neither have I received any refund.
I had to call the UBA customer care to know why, but they were like if the transaction was unsuccessful, AliExpress will notify them to make the refund. On the other hand, AliExpress agents were like so long as the transaction was unsuccessful, that my bank is responsible for my refund.
The same thing also happened this morning again. I was was debited for an unsuccessful transaction
Now, since both parties are denying responsibility, who do I hold?
Has anyone experienced something like this?

This actually happened to me..
In my own case, it showed item delivered at umuahia abia State instead of my local post office in Abia State University Uturu.. I was bothered cos it's the first time am experiencing such.. after many calls and disturbance, I received it 2 weeks at my local post office from the date it showed item delivered.
You can send someone over to check it or better still give it 10days from the time you got the delivery failed update

I still wonder why a post office in Lagos which is the first contact state in Nigeria should charge that much.

We've been advised severally to chill whenever we place an order on AliExpress during this period as activities are gradually recovering.. only buy items you don't urgently need and source the urgently needed ones locally.
In cases where the item isn't available locally but you really need it, get ready to pay really high to ship it faster via DHL FedEx, etc plus the high probability of paying custom duty if you're unlucky as not everyone gets charged for custom duties..

Finally on your question, that's a difficult one to answer. I've been shopping on AliExpress since early 2018. But this pandemic has changed everything, though not permanently I hope.
Buyer's protection time is now 90 days instead of the former 60days. This means you can get a call to come claim your item from the nearest post office anytime within the 90days period.
You could be one of the lucky ones that get theirs before the 60 days mark.
Secondly, I will advise you to download the track24 app like I did. Register and add all your tracking numbers to it. Make sure you activate its notification so you can get real time updates on your orders. I currently have over 40 items yet to be claimed but am not bothered because anyone I don't receive after the 90 days, I will definitely get a refund for it.

Just chill and follow tracking updates, you'll definitely get your order..

This is not funny at all! In my on case, I placed an order for Elephone px on the 25th of April and the seller was given 45 days to ship, failure of which would lead to authomatic refund of my money. 43 days passed and the seller still didn't ship my order. I had already concluded in my mind that I would get a refund (which is better for me ), thinking that the seller was not interested in shipping the order, probably because of the ongoing pandemic. Surprisingly, on the last day, I got a message from aliexpress that my order has bren shipped, and then the 90 days buyer protection period applies. Imagine, let's assume that the order refuses to deliver at the end of the day, that means I have to wait for about 135 days before i could get my money back.
Its a serious matter!

Lol.. bro story touches the hrt. If na me, I will cancel the order after 10days if the seller fails to ship. I will use the reason, shipping time too long or something like that
