Get to immigration office and do all you can to get your new passport ASAP, otherwise, you might not meet up with CAS shield deadline, as the link is usually opened for a short timeframe

Alternatively, when dependents have a date booked, try booking for MA with the earliest date available and prepare everyone including the MA for biometrics with date booked for dependents.
Worst case scenario is to pay for walk-in for MA, if they allow walk-in in your chosen TLS office.

The site (gov .uk) to apply is very easy to navigate but should you have any issue, get back here for guidance.
Application is individually, starting with the MA so you dependents can use his/her GWF no to complete yours

As soon as your POF matures, apply for CAS, if your school hasn’t given you already. Thereafter, visa application. At this stage, you are early enough for Sept but don’t relax keep going after everyone that has what you need (School especially) and hope n pray they issue your CAS ASAP

Yes, there is rush at every stage especially for Sept n Jan intakes.

It’s so unfortunate but that’s what most people will grapple with - it’s a yearly ritual since the revamped tier 4 route especially post covid.

I’m not trying to instil fear in people but to give heads up. A time will come people will sleep in TLS offices, some will miss school payment deadlines, passport issuance will disappoint others, some schools will tell you to defer, UKVI will do their own delay too - the list is endless.
In all, it will end in praise. Just hit the ground running and don’t look back (there is no time especially for Jan 2023 intake, not to talk of Sept, 2022 intake)

- have all your funds ready

- get a new 9ja passport if the old one is near expiry. Do all the wahala n leg work here in 9ja if you have to; getting a new 9ja pp is also not easy here (especially if you stay farther from London plus d hard earned £ you ll cough out too)

- have all your docs ready (since TB cert has 6 months validity, plan accordingly with your intake)

- network with trusted kith n kin outside 9ja for fee payment when CBN is delaying

- check your emails (all folders) a zillion times daily so you don’t miss out on info n correspondence

- get more info. Information is power

- as you plan for your visa, also prepare for life in the UK (accommodation, job, financials etc)

You can keep trying if what you need it for is still a long way off, otherwise, find your way to their nearest office and do the needful

Not sure of Abuja office but the issue is, there is MAD rush for IOM services in 9ja by Sept n Jan intakes and also add Canadian travellers to the list. So, doing an online booking don’t usually work for all (just few).
And one thing you can be sure of is that they will attend to everyone but just that you as an individual have to ensure your schedule and when you need the certificate is not hampered by this rush

that's the only date and time i see available and i want to select it but i also don't want to fall into error.

Nothing much. U know Lagos with its early morning rush and hold ups, just make sure your place is close by otherwise if you miss that appointment….

UBA refused to add email and phone number on the endorsement (reference)letter. Any advise and Who can advise on what to do at this point ? The account is a Joint account

Appeal to UBA’s staff especially the branch manager you using.
UKVI just wants something official with a clear line of communication

They always come across as sole conveyors of truth n genuine info whereas, they are limited in personal experiences.

In sending your docs bit by bit, ensure you clearly put in your full details in each mail for easy streamlining n identification to your file because they receive thousands of mails on same email address daily

Had a nasty experience at IOM Ikeja today. I initially booked 6th May for TB test and had to cancel it and rebooked for today 21st June with a confirmation email. I got there so early at 4.30am and by 7am when they a started calling names,I wasn't called. So many of us had the same problem. They collected the email appointment confirmation from us,took them inside and came out later to give us different reasons why our names were missing from their registered list for the day.
For me,the cancelled 6th May appointment is what they still had in their file. All in all,after wasting the whole day for me,I was given Thursday 23rd as a new test day.
From what I got there today, there are errors on their online booking as evidence by the large number of people affected. So if it is convenient for you,physical booking is advised.

Yes physically booking @ their offices is the way forward especially during rush seasons (September n January intakes)
So, from now till January 2023, one should book @ their offices nationwide otherwise, OYO is person’s case

He came home for marriage January 2022 and I uploaded our marriage certificate and news paper publication while applying for visa but I got a non straight forward mail today stating they need more documents to prove our relationship. What additional documents would you suggest I send to them? Please urgent response is needed. Below is what the decision making centre sent.

Go to the confirmation mail sent by UKVI after you created your profile for visa application, input your password and navigate further to be directed to TLS site and then click TFACK

Pure lies, banks don't get blacklisted but rather the applicant that uses a fake SOA get banned.
That was how some unscrupulous and mischievous Nigerians posted in a telegram group that Globus bank has issue with UKVI due to POF, but i used Globus bank for my dependents and they got their visa last month

BLACKLIST
a list of people, organisations, countries, etc. who are considered by a particular AUTHORITY or GROUP to be unacceptable and who should be avoided and not TRUSTED

Above is the Cambridge’s dictionary definition of blacklist.
Any person, organisation or country can blacklist another person, organisation, countries etc even when they are not a regulatory body.
Blacklisting is a subjective and personal action.
People should avoid mixing it with any other punitive measures by regulatory authorities.

UKVI isn’t regulating the said bank(s) but just sending out a message that the bank(s) should put their houses in order. This usually happens when fake statements becomes rampant with a particular bank within a period of time.

For example in my organisation, top management can decide to blacklist a bank or some customers and not do business with them again until relationships are regularised.

It happened with Stanbic during the xenophobic attacks - it was a silent move and you won’t even notice if you are not sensitive. Every financial transaction stopped with Stanbic and were diverted to other banks while management was contemplating moving the funds already in that account. A month after the noise and attacks died down, management issued another memo and the Stanbic account was reactivated.

In the issue of Globus bank you mentioned, that may have happened even if your people were given visa - the blacklist could have happened for a short period and relationship regularised.
The point is you may not know if you are not an industry stakeholder or watcher.

We are here to learn - so keep an open mind and question what seems foreign to you but don’t say it’s a lie just because you don’t have in-depth knowledge about the topic.

You can’t upload an expired test certificate to UKVI during visa application, if it has expired before then

Yes, bank statements from a particular bank(s) can be flagged especially if they noticed visa applicants presenting fake statements from same bank within a period of time.
So, even if an individual presents genuine statements from such bank(s), if care isn’t taken, such person can be unfortunate.
So, technically a bank can be blacklisted.
It happened to a bank that echoes in late 2021

Are you using VI, you should be able to do walk-in?
Just prepare the MA to do walk-in on the 30th, and if they do not allow, then wait for 20th of July
