slot? Very useless people.that was how i bought a playbook from them in april that went dead after 5days.
I took it back to them thinking they were a reasonable establishment.for 3months its been stories upon stories, only for them to tell me yesterday that thier dealer in dubai said it is not a factory fault, that i was the one that damaged the playbook and i'm going to pay for repairs.imagine such bulshi.t.

We are not ripe for this waranty stuff in nigeria, honestly.
Slot! Horrible people. I got a 9800 from them wt 1 year warranty a fee months ago. It just refused to start, took it back to them, they showed me a long list of conditions not covered by warranty. Almost all faults you can imagine were listed by slot as not covered. Technically, I concluded there is no warranty in Slot.

We are indeed ready for warranty. Had a Samsung phone that got spoilt in the 12th month of warranty, it was fixed within a week FOC!

SLOT is the problem. Be careful cos their 9900 comes with only 1 month warranty, even with the warranty, you are on your own oh. They will always tell you tis your fault.

What about using her own ID& password to the upgrade? The PB comes to her and she continues with her details!

I am skeptical when it comes to online transactions, Fhemmy thru TCD have hiked my confidence.
TCD dominated d playbook thread and led us by the hand, giving step-by-step instructions on PB. How did he get his PB? Through Fhemmmy!
Made mail contact, he insisted I met his colleague in Abuja and pay to him rather than transfer to some faceless account.
Thanks a lot Fhemmmy! Thanks TCD, Sure will disturb you with issues when my PB lands.

This is inappropriate here but i was in SLOT with my BB 9800 torch that suddenly went off and refused to power on, but i was shown a long list of exemptions to warranty. I have had issues with Samsung before and my phone was fixed free of charge.
Can I buy a PB when warranty is limited on my BB?

Gbyte: Though I know nothing about flying plane and landing one, but one thing I know is that, this report id probably a cover up, I'd ask some questions here, what time did the plane take off from Abuja, what time did it crash? The time frame would determine what really happened, I heard a rumor about our private jet delaying all planes for 2hrs before landing, if this is so, then the person in the jet should face trial. If a plane could make it all the way from Abuja to Iju, then it would definitely make it into the airport and land anyhow but would not have crashed the way it did.
Good point there. That fact or rumor has been denied severally by the ....
The fact remains that these issue recurs too frequently in this country. A whole airspace over the country is kept at a standstill cos someone special is airborne, about to land or is about to take off. Airborne planes cannot land and those on ground will not be cleared for take off till the VIPs land.
Tis not fair at all, Femi Falana was once airborne for over 2 hours from Lagos to Benin and had to go back to Lagos when his flight wasn't cleared to land. He was going to sue the government for endagering his life but I think the case was struck out.
If this happens in a place like Gambia whose population is a little over a Local government area in Nigeria, people will understand.

Akainzo: Like I said earlier, stop yarning nonsense. I have pointed you to where you can get more information about that particular crash. or ask any of your friends who might have watched it on DSTV. The plane crashed straight away is why it crashed 2 minutes after take-off!

Take your own advice, go read and go learn. But should you be willing, you can come watch the report of that crash on my PVR, I've got it recorded for posterity. Just ensure you ask nicely and bring a bottle of wine along! grin
Guess guys need to follow air crash investigations and you will see that crashes are not easily explained in this simple manner. Some take years of investigation before they could be concluded.
Guess we can do with expert opinions here if we have got any.
This is really sad. Dana has some very fine new aircrafts.
PoliticsRe: Lagos State Recalls All Sacked Doctors by alstacs(m): 5:27am On Jun 01, 2012
CuteTj: I really admire Fashola's intelligence. I knew he was going to recall them. Im sure they will never repeat what they did. It will teach other employees never to hold their employers to ransome all in the name of fighting for your rights. If you are not satisfied with your employer's terms, kindly QUIT! Don't forget that there are people that will gladly accept your job for even half of what you are paid.
Maybe we should all have called it quit instead of fighting for the 18 k minimum wage!
Are you aware he will still pay them for all the period they didn't work? Are you aware that all the lost lives cannot never be recalled back? Babies who have been rendered motherless will never in this world have another mother?
Fashola is indeed intelligent. Issue of labour groups and their employers is a give and take thing.

mufc009: Any doctor that goes on strike and leave patients on bed should not have been a doctor in the first place, it inhuman.
Ask the UK drs that are starting theirs now if they should have been drs at all.
Inhuman? Who determines what is inhuman? Is it the society that doesn't appreciate the extra length and sacrifice their drs in public service go to make sure they are healthy?
a dr friend was busy in that same hospital where they were being sacked while his pregnant wife was being operated on in another hospital in town. He saw his wife 36 hours after her surgery- they lived in the same house oh. It nearly led to the crash of their home.
What selflessness can be greater than this?
Add that to poor pay! Double tragedy, it is called.

Another one lost his 3month old baby to diarrhoea just because he could not pick his call when his wife was calling to inform him their daughter was going down!
Ask where he was? He was on 48 hours straight call in the maternity bringing forth other people's babies .
How bitter could he be if his efforts, pains and sufferings are not being appreciated by the same people he is losing his own life to?
He will abandon them, face his own life. When he's got a life, he will come back but now bearing in mind who he should really sacrifice for.

Martin Luther Jr wrote- "In the end when the fight is over, we will remember not
the words of our enemies, but the
silence of our friends.".
BFF and the politicians never suffered a bit. Some were flown out just to have their hypertension checked at the expense of the masses.
Who lost? We, the citizens of Lagos; who lost relatives? We.
Just as the drs signed to elevate above all the life of their patients, so did BRF swear to protect at all cost, the lives of the populace of Lagos state.

Let's judge him again next year, biko. cool
He tried?tried setting up committees to feed his financiers.
Tried feeding them d sweat and blood of Nigerians in unreasonable subsidy payment? If you add the payment in arrears for 2011 payment, we are well above N2 trillions. you mean he didn't think people are serious with all the protest in Jan? Thieving still continues!
He tried binding the hands of all the anti corruption agencies.
Mistakes? No mistakes, he did and does what he's gotta do

manny4life: Brother, your words are quite mean, damn. Have you seen perhaps in movies when a dragon spits out fire, the level of anger in the dragon fire tank makes the difference in the amount of fire it bring out and obviously the fire destroys anything in its path. You're just like the dragon, with so much anger, your words just like the fire will destroy anything within its path. Calm down eh, it's not that serious; your second statement make the first "hate" sound like a good word. Our dear president needs guidance so he can transition our economy into success, and cursing him, sure ain't doing it. Imagine where 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000, or a million or even 10million Nigerians curse one man, trust me, it sure affects him and you will definitely feel the ripple effect of his incapability.
Never knew we are powerful, can we start the curses here then?
What guidance?

Oyo state is not dividing into 2 states

in fact those in SW clamouring for new states are either representing themselves or their pockets

Now the new state that would come from SW is either Lagoon state (lagos state into two)

or ebira-okun state with is Kogi SW

That is it. Don't delude urselves.
You sure were part of the GEJ committee on state creation cos you sound so informed.
What about Oke-Ogun? What about ibarapa in Oyo state?

That to me is delusional to say the least.
A little education on Tax will help! Allowances (Housing allowance, transport etc) are not taxable. I believe this is what they are talking about. I read some of the accounts then.

@TCD

I am still waiting for your comment on bridging with edge rather than 3G. Is it worth it?
I really envy guys here. Everybody has moved on.

EducationRe: Should Lagos State Govt Pay House Officers Teaching Allowance bcause FGN pays it by alstacs(m):
greenspider4u: Yeah you will have no issue with that but first those people are not medical support personnels, some of them can work independently in certain cases, above all they are full fledge professions, though all should work together. We are not talking of money now,we are taliking of training, you are intrested in making others not to grow but u want growth.wetin concern NMA with other people training?.The people you gave example with are all university graduates. The fact is that Nigerian medical doctors are funny lots.Anambra state governor ignored them for complete 11 months the state did not vanish, they went back to work. You have first degree and others have yet you dont want them to use govt facility to train their people or even advance their knowledge but you wana grow.is this possible. Now you want house officers to be paid teaching allowance.no wonder our health system is moribound, the leaders are like a marooned sailor in an island, selfish people that dont reason at all.The pay disparity is going down, soon, all we be equal,NMA fighting is because they never meet better gov like obi and elechi that dealth with them. They are not God.left for NMA all will be paid 10kobo while they earn 1 million, again they wana turn others to their slaves,it is ending gradually. Thanks for lab people and pharamacists
You sound a little ignorant about wage fixing and job valuation. Pls do check on that and then, you may be able to conveniently talk about wage disparity.

About masters and PhD programmes for pharmacy nursing etc, they exist and people do it. About some health workers (professionals) bearing the title dr, nobody actually has issues against that. Unofficially, everybody that works in the hospital refers to himself as dr. Even the health attendant is a dr. So if the optometrists think the ultimate job satisfaction and consumation is to be referred to as dr, so be it.

You also talk about non working health system in Nigeria cos the drs are this or that. How does it work in the uk, USA, Canada, Australia, Asia and other African countries.

Same way but the optometrists do their work without looking for the dr title.....
