Why is this thread not updated yet? |
limeta:It was facilitated by the senator. I am sure you saw it clearly written on the banner. Very likely the people of the community complained to the Senator during the campaign period that they lacked access to GSM communication and he promised to facilitate the building of a mast in the community. So, it’s promise made and promise kept. Members of the community are happy and the senator is happy. Explain to me how this is a problem to you? |
lexy2014:The governor is obviously bring greedy. He has incorporated a private company through trusted fronts to build a private museum where the artifacts will be warehoused for private gains. |
hollywater:How’s the Oba greedy? The artifacts belongs to the Bini palace and not Edo state government. Was there an Edo state government when the artifacts were stolen? So, why should Edo state government take possession of what belongs to the palace? The pictures below show clearly British officers stealing the artifacts from the burnt Oba of Benin palace and not Edo state government house. It is even more annoying to know that the governor had incorporated a private (owned by fronts) to build a private museum to warehouse the artifacts. How’s that different from Tinubu establishing Alpha Beta to collect taxes for Lagos state? So you see, Obaseki is the greedy fellow in this case. He wants to divert what belongs to the palace to his company for personal profit. All right thinking Bini people must stand up against him.

Nothing bad in the Vice President aspiring to be president in 2023. It is a legitimate aspiration that is guaranteed by the constitution. He is eminently qualified to run for the office and rule the country. For many of us, he’s our first choice as far as 2023 is concerned. So, there is no point making his aspiration as a ploy against Tinubu. Nothing wrong in the two of them aspiring for the same office. At the end of the day, party members and majority of Nigerians will have the final say. |
Sammy07:Why? Who owns the artifacts? The state government or the palace? |
The most nepotistic president since 1999 and he’s not even hiding his biased disposition. |
ShadowCracker:Hakeem-Muri Okunola is worse than a puppet to Tinubu. He’s an errand boy. You can’t be dissing Sanwo-Olu by calling him a puppet and then be promoting Muri Okunola. Tinubu made HMO who he is today in Lagos public service. Anyway, HMO can wait till 2027. There is no vacancy in Alausa in 2023. Know this and know peace. |
Plomo:Onitsha and Aba are in the north, right? |
ShadowCracker:Actually, a clearly recognized and administered Yoruba nation never existed till the British Invasion of the hinterland of what is now known as Nigeria. Before the British Invasion, we had different nations with clearly defined monarchical governments. Oyo, Ijebu, Egba, Ife, Ilesha, Ibadan, Owo, Ijero, Aramoko, Okemesi, Ila, Ajase Ipo, Offa, etc all existed as independent nations with distinct governments, military, rule of law etc. The British came in and clubbed everybody together and tagged us Yoruba because we speak the same language. We existed independently before the British. |
Head or tail, Kanu is bleeped. He’s not leaving the Zoo’s prison anytime soon. |
Xscape1993:Is PDP the “good” party willing to give its ticket to a southerner? Mention one serious PDP member from the south that has a good chance of snatching the party’s ticket from Atiku? See, it’s time to be realistic. There is no evil or good party. APC and PDP are different sides of the same coin. If APC gives us a southern candidate, we must unite behind the candidate. Whatever our grievances are, we must never allow Atiku or any other northerner win the 2023 presidential election. The North will never relinquish power again if that happens. |
Bloggers and their silly headlines. Smh! |
Heartless condolences ![]() |
Homiesjinxbank:My life is far better now than under the roguish PDP regime. |
It was also discovered that NBET — the body that buys power from the generating companies (GenCos) and sells to the distribution companies (DisCos) — also allocated N630 million to buy transformers and electrify rural communities. This is clearly not part of the agency’s mandate.Clear case of budget padding. I can bet this expenditure line was inserted in the agency’s budget by a member of the National Assembly as constituency project. |
anungangampu:And how is this an issue? We need to stop this hypocrisy to be honest. This has been happening since 1960 and it’s not limited to any region. When Abba Moro was interior minister, he stuffed all the paramilitary agencies with Benue people. When Stella Oduah was minister of Aviation, she sacked almost all the Yoruba staff and replaced them with Igbos. Fowler as FIRS chairman employed more Yorubas than any other tribe. So, this should not be an issue. It’s something we are all guilty of. If I’m appointed to a juicy office today, I will give special treatment to Ekiti people as far as recruitment is concerned. You will do exactly the same if given the opportunity. So, stop the hypocrisy. |
