Denver is very safe....I've been in Colorado several times and there is an active Nigerian community in Aurora.

Please pay no attention to your friend. Colorado is one of the most liberal states to visit.

While you're there try to visit the Red Rocks Amphitheater and the Broncos stadium. Also, look out for the cash register building in the skyline...you can't miss it.

grin grin grin

Thanks boss

We'll actually be staying around Parker/Aurora axis. Just booked an apartment via airbnb.com

... There are black Americans, immigrants, and tourists in all 50 US states. There are no states that are inherently more unsafe for certain races or ethnic groups, but you should be mindful of your surroundings and environment wherever you go. That being said, Denver is a fairly safe city. Like anywhere else in the world there are dangerous parts of the city, but on average it has a lower crime rate.

Thanks @LagosNIV. I'll be there for about 4-5months with my family. A friend in Atlanta told me its predominantly a no-go-area for colored skin folks. One can't be too careful. Thanks

Arihodo:
let her nt touch the breast cos it stmulated them. the milk wil dry up. give paracetamol 4 pain relief.

OK. Will let her know. Thanks.

liliana:

I dont think its advisable to stop breasfeeding abruptly. This is what it causes; swollen breasts and pain. Breast milk is produced in response to demand. She could either allow nature take its course (by feeding the boy but reducing the frequency gradually, this could take months but it would be pain free- this was what i did) or she endures the pain (my mom says its for a maximum of 1 week). Other moms here may have other ideas.
All the best to her!

Yes we are aware it isn't right to stop abruptly but the li'l man is already 1yr + coupled with the fact that she's 2months gone into 1st trenester. She's getting based on advices offered hereon. Thanks

Good day mamas. Please o! I was the one that insisted my wife weans our 1yr 2mths boy. She's been doing it gradually but now her b.reas.ts are so engorged and the pain is unbearable. She googled and found out she could pump the milk away. This however stimulates production and it prolongs the whole thing. Please what other measure/method can be advised.

I see no justification for deleting @hodusglobal's post. i think the moderator is being biased. Why wasn't the worry359 guy posts hidden too? Esp. where he went to say mention someone's mama's skirt!!! That was absolutely uncalled for! The dude must be a failure and i hope he doesn't take that as a strong word either.
