It should be beautiful, simple, and memorable. It should reflect how you feel about her and how you want your marriage to be. What does she like? What places are special to you? What's your budget? 1. Champagne at dinner 2. A botanical garden with pretty flowers (it's less likely you'll be embarrassed if she says no) 3. The place you met 4 In front of a religious establishment (If she's religious) 5. A trail of rose petals leading to a box inside of a box inside of a box with an empty ring box, then when she looks at you like "what is this about", you present her with the real ring and make a speech about love If you think she'll say yes, then get a group of people to hold up signs about the multiple reasons why you love her. Make sure she has the opportunity to read each one. Then you hold up the last sign asking her to marry you. Please look nice and have the ring on deck. Good luck I LOVE LOVE |

You are right not to contribute money for something you don't believe in. However, if he does go through with it, please don't shun him. He'll need emotional support. School is very important to his future and his family's future. Also, people who don't want children and can't yet afford them really shouldn't have them. Everyone will suffer. Maybe you can let him know about all the options he has. Remember, desperate people do dangerous things. |
The celebrations here are this weekend! (Nija time, always late) I'll be attending parties, fashion shows, and a parade. |
Immature foolishness, Do what you feel comfortable with because you have to live with it. Don't let anyone make you change who you are so they can feel better. She's not necessarily crazy or evil, but she's probably very insecure or has been played in the past. She simply wants to ensure her status with you. If you like her, then find some other way to reassure her that you're comfortable with. Good luck! |
Aren't we all confused? |
Too much fun |
Pleasing stop trying to kill yourself! Your posting is concerning. I'm not going to lecture about how you should love the way you are because you've made it clear that you don't. I will advocate for safer ways to go about it: regular exercise, healthy-nutritious food on a regular basis, plenty of water, plenty of sleep, no crash diets (because you'll crash), and PATIENCE. IT takes time but you'll be healthy for life if you do it the right way. |
All these look amazing! Can't wait to start cooking. |
Don't bite Don't suck too hard Don't try to eat her face Don't rush Don't give up (it takes practice) Take your time, Relax, Vary the intensity, Slip in a little tongue when you're ready, Follow her signals about what she likes |
The original poster is not wrong, but maybe tactless and unwilling to sympathize with the women themselves. Think of how much pressure there is to marry well and have kids for men and women. Not ever lady is a viper waiting to take everything you have. As far as education, not every person has equal access. I don't condone GD, but if it was the only way to secure a better future for my children than the one I have, it might be an option. Respect is paramount and love will follow. People don't marry anyone you don't respect. I realize it can be frustrating, but please try to be patient with those who are part of your community but do not share your sensibilities. When you want a wife, she'll know the type of man you were to other women and may judge you for it. Leave your venting on the web and try not to break too many hearts ![]() |
Theories: 1. It's the only time she's free 2. She has other men so you have a time slot 3. She doesn't like being out in the sun (some chicks don't like tanning) 4. Dinner is more expensive than lunch, so you can cover that 5. She doesn't want to meet people she knows while with you because they might be nosy (I had nosy neighbors tell my mum everything I did) I know some are being hard on you. I'm sure you're not ugly or you at least dress OK. You could try becoming so busy that she'll take whatever time she can get. Don't let her run your life like that. |
First, let me acknowledge that you asked for a male's perspective so you can disregard my female perspective (no hard feelings). I think taking care of yourself for every person is very important. I also think that different men want different things in the woman they choose. Some men like want seems exclusive, others like what seems reasonable, and a select few like what seems cheap. Love yourself and a man will find it very easy to love you. I'm no cheap girl, but I try to be friendly, polite, and approachable. No amount of "designer swag" can do more than my smile and my proper breeding. Also SIDE NOTE: Please be sure to invest and save some of that money so that if anything goes wrong, you can stay right ![]() |
I will not dance with you 1. If you smell bad 2. If you grab some part of my body before I permit you to 3. If you are very, very ugly (you'll bring down my social capital) somewhat ugly is OK because I try to be nice 4. If you are holding a drink (afraid of spills) 5. IF you are lurking are me and my friends like a shark (everyone likes the chase) Best case: I see you across the room enjoying yourself (not looking lonely) Then somehow we end up near each other, You, while harmlessly two stepping, smile at me. I smile back. You gesture with open palms and an inviting expression, but if I indicate no then you shrug and continue having fun. If you seem low intensity, I'll come find you later on in the night, lol |
The purple is fabulous. All black women look good in purple. The make up is dramatic, but it's a magazine that's how they work. I'd try to rock it. |
Having your own business can be a fulfilling endeavor, but struggles will come. Be prepared to sacrifice time, money, and maybe even relationships (people hate it when you do well). The independence is worth the investment in my opinion, but a great deal of care and contemplation is necessary. Nothing is a sure thing, but you can safeguard yourself against comment failures. You also need a support network of intelligent, reliable helpers to get started and keep things going. There are a lot of resources online and in books that might provide some guidance. Good luck! |
This is terrible. It brings down the value of degrees for everyone. It's already a rough market to compete in and with fraud the market becomes saturated with degree toters. As someone who EARNED her education, I am offended and dismayed. I hope these situations are remedied. |
